Just investigating the pit stops, it seems there has been a wrong estimation for the pit stop times of the LRF cars. They seem to have a different refuelling rate compared to the NGTRs I was not aware of.

After discussions I had with Kid, I tested it one more time

For the final round the LRF refuelling estimation will therefore be changed to 0.6s/l.

Uploaded the layout file into the opening post.

Also since I have heard reports and I see in airio that some drivers and teams tested other cars, please update your entry in the sign-up form when changing the car. Since it is the Open Endurance Cup, the "open" means that you are free to do so, but updating the form makes my life a little bit easier

Qualifying
During qualifying all drivers will be able to complete as many laps as they wish. However, a team needs at least one timed lap to be allowed to start the race. During the qualifying practice session only one driver of any competing team shall be on server and on track at any time. Please notice the yellow blend line at pit lane exit and please do not cross it.

Race
The grid departs just before the final hairpin in two-by-two formation. The NGTRs may depart with the green lights, while the LRF class will be given a seperate signal. The field shall accelerate to 80kph (49mph). Overtaking is allowed with the Green-Flag-Message, that is given to each class seperately. Please be careful on the approach to the first braking zone, as no race has been won yet on the first lap.

The balance of performance for OEC V is done via minimum pit stop times. That means that the aggregate time you are standing in the pit box needs to be greater or equal the following times:

Important, the timing stops once you've moved. So if you accidentally move when it says "finished" and stop and wait again in the pits, it does not count. Keep that in mind!

Please remember, there are NO Safety Cars, NO restarts. Rejoins are allowed at anytime but result in the loss of one lap, including rejoins due to connection loss.

I hope you will have a fun race nonetheless.


The server is again kindly provided by New Dimension Racing. The live stream by SimBroadcasts is scheduled to start with the qualifying session.

So I ran the numbers again including now all laps of the Round 1 competitors. It uses the finishing position for weighing the lap counts. Also it now expects a three stint race in all cars, not just in the LRFs, which rendered the minimum pit stop times in the first round close to pointless for the NGTRs. As in the first round, this is the first release and may be amended by updates to the data and/or by further evaluation. Especially the difference in the NGTRs appears rather big, which probably happens due to the UFRs finishing the race in the top positions.

The updated model and all the graphs are attatched to this post.

While definately not perfect (i.e. rejoins are not really implemented in this correctly), I think this gives a general feel about the race



With more cars joining the LRF class the next couple of rounds, I intend to release such graphs there as well.

Hello,

I am a big fan of the league functionalities on LFS.net. However there are a few improvement suggestions I came across this past weekend:

1. Dropdown menu for car choice: Currently the car choice can only be done by the competitor via typing the cars name/abbreviation into a text field. Meanwhile the calendar already asks you for the cars used in this event. Maybe there can be a dropdown menu for the available cars a potential competitor can choose an option from, if it is a season sign-up and if all rounds uses the same cars.
   
2. Export function: Depending on what type of league you are running, you are using different amounts of external software (tracker, results applications, ...). Especially some software to analyse mprs needs team definitions in endurance races to properly generate their outputs. Currently, the entries on the leagues' section need to be copied and pasted, with a good chance to make mistakes or to have outdated entry informations, especially when facing a defined deadline. A simple export function (i.e. csv-file) would improve the data transfer massively.
   
3. Password sharing/Message all competitors: A similar situation appears in regards to the distribution of information to competitors, especially the distribution of the event server password. I could think of a partially automated process as we alraedy have the option to join servers by using a hyperlink. Alternatively a "message all entries" function could work for this process as well.
   
4. Result archive: Currently the event passes and appears as completed event in the carlendar. Meanwhile there is already a online race results archive on lfsworld.net. To give more value to the leagues' section, linking the race dates to the results would come in handy.
