does it work fine with the Windows USB-Controller program? also did you try it on a different game? Also what wheel do you have? Maybe someone in the community has the same one and can help you.

Hello everyone,

I encountered today the problem that I could not join a server as a skin was queued for download but that skin was not downloading. It started during a racing session, when a skin of a fellow competitor was queued up and shown to be the next one to download, but the process never seems to stop. As a consequence other skins in the session are not downloaded. Eventually after leaving the server, the download still seemed to be "active", I was not able to join a different one.
After closing and restarting the LFS.exe I could join other servers again.

I failed to recreate the bug, but heard on the LFS Discord, that others were experiencing the same or similar issues.

Seeing that not many skins have been published yet, I'd like to offer to make you a league legal skin based on the International Auto Racing Colours* of your place of origin or your nationality.

Don't expect breathtaking designs or anything like that, but you will get a clean skin you can take part with. Just sent me a pm here or prod me on the NDR Discord with the car you want to drive one of those for your own. To give me enough time to do them, please notify me by Friday 12:00 UTC.

*=Should your nation not be listed there, you will get a skin probably based on your national team's jersey.

No... but you can sacrifice your first gear to act as a pit limiter. However that might not necesserily be worth it.

Even if champstat as of now is not designed to deal with endurance races, it was a great help in providing quick championship updates for Sim Broadcasts in the Open Endurance Cup Five (with its deliberately convoluted points system)! I only used the teams' championship and worked around the fact that it is a multi-class league. It worked very well and made it easy to provide results right after the race finished.

Updated the opening post with minimum pit stop times and the layout. Sadly I did not get to finish the scripts to be released beforehand. The updates I made since the post in the BOP discussion thread have not changed the resulting values, so the provisional ones are now the official ones.

Server passworded for Open Endurance Cup Five Round 4

There is still one round to go, but I know how little these kind of things get talked about after a season has finished, so I want to start the debriefing for the season early. The form will stay open until one or two weeks after the final round and the results will be published here.

To make things easier and anonymous, you can use the Google Forms document I prepared.

Still feel free to discuss everything you want here as well.

Short answer is, that you cannot get the cars other then those you can see under "contents" legally into LFS.

I am updating the model currently. I improved the weight matrix, which in turn focuses the estimation on laps of top finishers compared other drivers. While this has the advantage to get a "cleaner" estimation of the parameters, it also ignores now a lot more laps. To compensate this, I amended the ending criteria for the data snooping by raising the upper boundary from 2 sigma to 2.575829 sigma. I also went from an estimation of a quadratic to a linear function for all cars except the FZ5, as it still features a noticeable curvature.

Since the updated script still needs a bit of work, but the race takes place at the end of this week, I'd like to publish the times as of now anyways.

the big increase in minimum pit stop times in the LRF class can be explained by the more realistic pit stop time for the FZ5 and the general projected lack of race pace of the car (0.8-1.0s per lap slower).
The XFR is currently projected to be slightly faster then the UFR by a couple of seconds over the course of the race however it still needs some reevaluation after the model is finished, so both minimum pit stop times are equal for now.
As I said, the times are very much provisional for now.

Qualifying
During qualifying all drivers will be able to complete as many laps as they wish. However, a team needs at least one timed lap to be allowed to start the race. During the qualifying practice session only one driver of any competing team shall be on server and on track at any time. Please notice the yellow blend line at pit lane exit and please do not cross it.

Race
The grid departs just before the final oval corner in two-by-two formation. The NGTRs may depart with the green lights, while the LRF class will be given a seperate signal. The field shall accelerate to 80kph (49mph). Overtaking is allowed with the Green-Flag-Message, that is given to each class seperately. Please be careful on the approach to the first braking zone, as the following corners are very fast and no race has been won yet on the first lap.

The balance of performance for OEC V is done via minimum pit stop times. That means that the aggregate time you are standing in the pit box needs to be greater or equal the following times:

Important, the timing stops once you've moved. So if you accidentally move when it says "finished" and stop and wait again in the pits, it does not count. Keep that in mind!

Please remember, there are NO Safety Cars, NO restarts. Rejoins are allowed at anytime but result in the loss of one lap, including rejoins due to connection loss.

I hope you will have a fun race nonetheless.

I want to point this out because this shouldn't be possible. I've even braked before the left hander to account for a wider line to ensure i'd lose minimum time. 16 may have been too careful to go past there but everyone should already be aware of how NGT cars tend to understeer when lifting off. Before that, after split 1 on the same lap i tried to signal for the car 16 to pass me, but he locks brakes and couldn't make a move for the turn but no problem here for me as no contact ever happened.

Minor avoidable contact by car #16.

No further action.

A general reminder issued to all competitors: Please approach any inter-class overtake on track sensibly. The different cars and car classes have different strengths and weaknesses. All competitors shall be aware of those and prefere passing the other cars in suitable areas of the race track.

The only practical work around (*) I know of is in multi-car races to switch between different cars (car models, like from XFG to XRG or back) and their onboards.
