Already posted the closest I've got to that statement, but just wanted to say , looks great! I've contemplated buying a 924/944 etc. countless times. (and probably should have when I finally made a purchase/this time )
Oh sweet, thanks. I was actually planning to do so anyways, (as they're new and literally have none), but for some reason hadn't thought it through. :o Good to know about the X & Y/DDS's too. Probably woulda been my next question.
Ahh dang, yea I knew about that option but guess remembered wrong. I thought default was 1024 & hi/pay was 2048. Makes me kinda sad, putting soo much time into simply editing/tweaking a skin, to know they'll be seen so crappily by the majority. (more specifically, my friends) Oh well, what can you do right. Thanks again! (both of ya )
Sweet - thanks for the answers, but now I guess that leads to one more.. :o does that mean when somebody else see's a new/my skin, they see it in 512? (tho it was uploaded in say 1024)
Which I guess answers/leads to question #2.. when the game auto-downloads other players skins, do they go in the main skins dir? I've always just assumed they went to a different folder where they were automatically put into some type of compressed format. (as this is how a flightsim I play handles custom maps, when one plays an online room with a scenery they've never flown)
I'm sure this is a dumb question, but I was wondering if removal of skins that came with LFS would cause issue.. as in will I still see them during online play, if somebody were to use one I've removed? I'm guessing yes, but wanted to be sure before removal from my skins folder...
Stupid question, where do suit/glove skins go? (been away from the game awhile, again & can't remember) If it was stated @ the beginning of this thread I apologize as I somehow missed/can't find it.
Thanks man! That blows about roll cages.. IMO it added a touch of realism having that extra detail when one caught a glimpse through a window, (as well as being cool from the driver's seat), oh well. Now that I think about it though, I swear I noticed either a red or orange cage while driving the other night, (which is sorta what prompted me to ask), but I'm not sure which car or with what skin.
I thought I understood where all the the textures are/go on the XRR but need help pinpointing a couple. First, the rear view mirrors.. I noticed some text I thought was in an open location, partially showed up on one of them, and would like to know exactly what area affects them. I'd also like to know what portion textures the splitter under the rear of the car. As always, thanks in advance!
EDIT - Oh yeah, and I was wondering if it's just as easy to alter the color of the rollcage? Once again I was fooled at its location and am guessing it's controlled via another file altogether?
It goes beyond that. Springs may be fairly basic but they're only a piece of the equation. Cutting them affects more than simply ride height, especially considering the ones that get chopped most often are part of a worn suspension. It's obvious there's no point explaining though, dumbasses will be dumbasses I suppose! (and yes, I've been around it plenty e2mustang)
LOL, thanks man!! I'd actually found the same info elsewhere, (during my own pre-thread investigation), though apparently it was too late and/or I too drunk, cause I still couldn't find it. :o
It seems I've got a new problem though... no matter what I seem to do, when I set a deadzone it always puts it slightly right of center?! I've recalibrated the wheel both in and out of game as well as tried removed and non-removed deadzones from within the game. The wheel is showing centered in the game as well - wtf?
EDIT - Please disregard the "new problem".. apparently even though DXTweak would not actually apply a deadzone, somehow it managed to screw up Logitech's deadzone assignments. After deleting all DXTweak profiles I made as well as recalibrating the wheel, I can properly set a deadzone. As for Logitech's default of 50% sensitivity, I think that's a load of crap/their 50 is actually 100%, haha. Thanks again!!
I was watching that silly new'ish stunt show or whatever, (think it used to come on directly after our crappy American Top Gear, maybe). They took an old Land Cruiser & did a test running it straight over a large steel I-beam that was bolted to the road, (@ 45mph I believe), wearing tireless rims up front.. first; a set of steelies, then magnesium's, and finally a set of basic alloys. (had tires on rear wheels) As figured the mag's cracked, the steels bent horrendously, and the alloys came out nearly unscathed. I'm not saying the same results would occur against concrete/have no idea really, but was impressed just the same.
