Well.. I think the general consensus on strut tower bars is pretty strewn, for two main reasons: (among others)
A. people not fully understanding the differences between macpherson strut & double wishbone, suspensions
B. the average public rarely cornering hard enough for them to make a difference
Yea, I sorta feel that way about said Miata, especially when mine's now due for paint, lol. In this case I've got the same car but with half the mileage, a slightly more modernized interior and the engine I favor. Also, I wasn't expecting to see it much anymore.. originally he'd bought it for his girlfriend. Since he paid for it though, when she left the picture, he kept the car, lol. But I know whatcha mean.
Oh yeah.. while you ground pounder's annoy me & my dogs , I'm with ya on not selling local. That's why she's not gone yet, (the car I mean, lol). I keep throwing the local tards inflated prices. I suppose there's been one exception. I did sell my '91 Miata to the mechanic across the street. Thankfully, while I still see it as "my old car" & pretty well daily, the first thing he did was a professional grade paint job to a completely different color & a couple other defining details. (so far nothing too ghetto, lol) Of course, I've still got a Miata & the better of the two, so that helps ease the pain.
I'd be inclined to agree.. my 2nd MX-3 came with a pair of bandpassed 12"s, literally leaving me with the trunk space of a 2nd gen MR-2. They sounded great, but were eventually replaced with quality set of 10"s in a much smaller/better box design. After a little amp tweaking they actually sounded better & I reclaimed most of the hatch. That said, I've never bought speakers for a sound competition or anything, (if you're going for dB's etc). I just shoot for even sound with solid base. Glad you got your old car back.. I know how hard it can be to part with them! (reallly should let my MX-3 go but..!)
Not really a drift fan but hey, the station wagon gets pimp points for it just the same from me, haha. Next I wanna see some oldschool RWD mini-van drifting!! (me & a buddy used to have a blast in the winter in his mom's beater Ford Aerostar )
Might be the lighting/dirt/rust that's making it appear different to me, (but to everybody but a ginho), it's pretty low just the same.
Also, bumpers aren't there to protect undercairages from speed bumps, suspension is.
Same thing around here. What's ironic is most of the local examples aren't worth worrying about anyways. There're laws in my area for trucks that get jacked up too tall/tires don't fit under fenders etc, should be the same for cars that're too low & whatnot!
Uhm, the rocker panels look to be nearly on the ground and from this angle the back appears lower than the front.. was there a fat chick in the trunk, cause nobody's in the back seat.
You sir, win the "my new best digital friend" award! A toast in your general direction, (wherever that may be), with my peach-mango koolaid. :monkey: (file archived!) EDIT - FWIW/anybody who may run into this, I did have to alter the directory in which the included instructions give, to be "Program Files (x86)", as they were obviously made pre-x64
I appreciate the suggestion Frunze118, though I'd really rather continue using Photoshop for any needs that can't be met within MS Paint, (but I'll keep it in mind).
Surely somebody knows the solution to this wall I seem to be running into with CS2?
I previously had an add-on for Photoshop CS2 that allowed the opening and editing of DDS files. After deducing that I no longer have the file backed up, I attempted to find it again. The first wall I ran into was nVidia's developer page apparently being down, though eventually found it elsewhere.. I thought. Sadly, whatever I got doesn't seem to work. I believe I need the x32 version as that's what my copy of CS2 is, though it's installed on a x64 version of Winblows7 Pro? Any help is greatly appreciated as it's really starting to annoy me at this point!!
Oh man, I concur with the previous replies.. absolutely gorgeous!! Flame CZE, do ya mind if I were to slap my number on its plate, (or something simple), for personal use? I'd definitely credit you on the file itself. If not, np - it's too pretty to not ask though!
Yeah, I'm finding while the RX-7 is an absolutely wicked car.. I just love Miata's too much/typically wanna drive it more. (and another 100hp would no doubt add to that desire :nod Who needs two summer cars anyways right.
EDIT - I'd probably regret it, but have pondered on selling the Miata too, pooling the $$$ & picking up a used, (but sub 100k), Boxter.
I'm not so sure on the rims being black either, but who cares right haha/to each their own. Hope ya like the end results!
On a different note, (and another who cares, lol), sadly I may be parting with the FD in the near future. If that winds up being the case, I definitely plan to supercharge the Miata though. (& dump some other money/goodies in her too)
