Get a 8800 GTS, more bang (and memory) for the buck. They run about $300-400 USD, easily. I got mine on Newegg.com. The money invested in a decent card now will pay off for future games. That is of course if you have an 'ok' system to begin with.
I went back and tried NFS Porsche Unleashed, and as far as I can remember, that was the best version of NFS EA ever released... realism wise. But I stopped playing it ever since I found LFS and GPL. But playing NFS:PU again... it wasn't 'that' great handling wise, I mean a boxster could take turns insanely fast, it did still feel kinda arcadey. But it did have oversteer and it was possible to lose control if you pushed it. But it was always still too easy and grippy. I am sure the new NFS will feel the same way... but EA is always developing their games to cater to a much larger market of younger gamers, thus they make their games easier and user-friendly so nobody gets frustrated and gives the game a bad word.
It's been a long while since NFS has ever felt "good"... but recently EA have already made several attempts at making a "SIMULATION" out of their games, and they've failed miserably.
I too noticed the difficulty to see the walls of the chicane in sunset lighting. Should just be overcast and daylight used in SO1. Or just get someone to make a texture pack that paints the corners of those walls bright red lol
Again, this isn't an official race, so do not worry about MoE skins, racenumbers, etc. Results of the testrace are purely to see the balancing with the two classes... so reference with normal team information/skins is not needed. We will just need to know who is driving what class via something in their nickname, to help us as we watch.
Skins should not matter. This is only a test race. Though we should probably have people try to use a nickname according to what class of car they are in, just so it makes it easier while under observation.
Example:
GT1 F.Lastname GT2 F.Lastname
Skins don't really matter at this point (your choice). For actual races in the season, they will.
The real accomplishments are with National A Though, they play too much, so there is no way in hell I am going to drain my life as much as they have :o
I highly doubt that. These forums are never going to be smart and clean until mods take out the heavy whips on those who obviously junk this place up. But I think everything is quite laid back here, so I don't see that happening anytime soon. Should have a bit more action taken to prevent such users of making the forum their 'life'... it has always been out of hand to be honest. I rarely want to post or visit here anymore, compared to how often I used to.
Please reset the stats. I had a real lack of interest after seeing that the original CTRA points were kept intact... and there was no way I could catch them. Not that the points really matter... but I think it would for others.
Was fun to try and keep in the Top 10 in the Single Seaters with my limited time of playing, but seeing the overall license points comparison... I just gave up. I know this isn't regarding license level, but oh well. Reset --something--.
What the hell!!!?!?!?!? Where did that one come from.... I never saw that one to vote for EVER. Never saw any of Linsen's skin... dammit!! I surely wouldve voted for that
I wouldn't worry about the LX4/LX6 duplicates, the devs will surely pick only ONE of those for whatever car it fits best.
But still as I said, I hope the devs do this, because there are so many similar color schemes, it just dissapoints me to see a whole lot nicer skins that didn't make the cut into their respective Top 10. Those of which would really give a good variety of skins for the LX, and better choices for the devs.
WOW I am really surprised to see the skins I liked in there, but also surprised some skins that I know a lot of people liked did not make it in the Top 10 for each. I mean.... a lot of them are just way too similar with colors... wish there was more of a variety Well choose the best and make it a variety then
In most cases, you will never find the font you are looking for, trust me. A unique logo such as this will almost always have a handmade typeface by the designer, or one that is bought for a high price from some good font foundries. If you can find whatever this is, good hunting
Seems like a pretty easy set of characters to make yourself imo, or to find something similar.
Never thought of that one, thanks for mentioning .
I'll stick to my +1 replies still at the moment. Because I'd much rather leave a comment along with my +1...... at least the person will know what I agree/approve of whatever is posted.
It isn't necessarily a "thank you" situation either with these posts... but more or less about agreement or disagreement on a subject. How will you know how many people DISAGREE on a particular subject when all you see is a fulfillment of thank yous?. Kind of biased with shortcomings if you ask me.
I'd rather see something of this nature with a collapse button beside the thanks button. By default it should all stay collapsed, and then the user can click the button to see the users that thanked the post.
Can it be moved to the LEFT side next to quote? Being on the right next to the most-used buttons (quick reply and other common quote buttons), it just is annoying.
BTW, there is a better thumb you can replace in the vB Button Graphics pack... one you have now looks kinda crude. Or well, use the one FEL posted: . Or a +1
I just mention the placement because as you scroll down and want to quote a post or quickly press quick-reply, it is RIGHT next to where your mouse pointer is near the scroll button typically.
Any teams that are hoping to have a GT1 position next season, be sure and try the GT1 car to get a feel for GT2 traffic. Last season's competitors can practice in GT1, but if you want to show your fast pace in a GT2 car, please do .
Yeah had this happen to me one time. Except my car ended up halfway into the ground and was stuck there. Just another bug that we don't see fixed from Eric
