I wonder what everyone uses in their real cars. The only time I've ever driven with shoes on was when I took my driving test. I only wear thongs/slaps/flip-flops (take your pick) or vans slip-on sneakers, so it's practical for me. Socks are very consistent, grip-wise; bare feet can get sweaty and slip off most pedals. Fortunately, socks still allow me to put the pedals between my toes for ultimate fine control and feel of the vibrations.

I liken driving with shoes on your feet to driving with your elbows on the wheel and shifting with shoes on your hands--at least in relative terms of control. You wouldn't care so much about smoothness when racing though, nevertheless, I don't see how it would hurt going barefoot/sockfoot (unless of course you're scared of your feet getting niki lauda'd).

Quote from JasonJ :LoL

And I didn't know Jimston was on about in-car view only. He never stated as far as I could tell. He could have been using a custom view. Sorry wark, I didn't notice the in-car option "Move view with animation".

Obviously. :duck:

Well, bbman was probably right too, but this is silly. LFS should have a "restore/revert to default" button. Problem solved

Quote from bbman :He meant "Look function" (head turning with the steering), whereas you'd have only switched of the g-force animation, so you're both right...

Quote from Jimston :it looks as if my car seat is sliding back and fourth

That's your custom view menu. I.E. the wrong one. Jimston is using the in car view.

Because having an option to go slower isn't a very exciting feature.

In general, aren't good slick tires going to be grippier than the most expensive grooved ones?

bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :goodvibes

Also, you can hear them things from outside of a car; you should be able to hear when other cars are on rumble strips in LFS.

Definitely no lines going on our 2006 BMW. Scawen isn't into anachronisms.

I don't see what would be wrong with 2 extra digits of text on the sidewalls for the other cars, though.

Agreed. The current one is almost vintage-looking.

Maybe one shape for single seaters (with a spoiler and 'chin lip') and one shape for everything else.

+1 eventually.

P.S. Iridium shields, anyone?

How 'bout a little "tracker ball" display like they sometimes have in the F1 feed now.

This would be wonderful but obviously every car couldn't have it. . . maybe when we get that long overdue Subaru WRC car.

Would RL counterparts to our GTRs have a feature like this?

It will also help a great deal when we have more realistic spooling.

Yeah, why'd they even make a neutral position?
