More like 60 minutes for the regular demo content--then more people would buy S2.

Quote from Cr!t!calDrift :Just wait for a decent breast-physics patch. Do you really want to see breasts bouncing around all arcadey?

Those physics take a while to develop .

Scawen will have fun studying.

I honestly can't recall seeing a single bird flying while I was driving... a bat once or twice, but never a bird. :bat:

Wouldn't work, realistic input impossible to simulate--for better or for worse.

p.s. there is a goodly lot of threads on this already.

Turning speed does not equal cornering speed... you can turn any car 90 degrees at any speed; doesn't mean your direction of travel will change.

All that this would do is rob your rear tires of grip without any lateral acceleration. Very productive

P.S. movable aerodynamic devices were banned to prevent the use of airbrakes (à la McLaren F1, Bugatti Veyron) and wings only popping up for corners. (And some have argued "fan cars.")

Quote from mrodgers :Explain what other component would induce friction on the wheel spinning if not the bearings, barring the brake calipers exerting force on the brake disc.

Air friction--maybe that's modelled?

Regardless, Lucretian's point is surely that it's not enough, whatever it is.

Quote from mrodgers :Just a note, that is not how it happens IRL. Most cars use a hydrolic system which never goes out of adjustment. The pads are always touching the disc, thus there is no difference in pedal travel as pads wear.

David Coulthard had to retire from Malaysia because his brake pedal was hitting the steering column (due to brake wear).

LFS isn't really comparable to BF2. A lot of LFS players (forum-goers) rarely even race online.

Like me--I've been playing LFS since 2002, and look at my stats--do they tell you I'm a newbie? (rhetorical question =P)

Stopping and sitting still isn't going to do any good if your brakes are overheating.

thanks

I've never seen a real clock like that. Why bother? (speaking of bother, how can it bother you that much?)

P.S. it's a "needle"

I don't think you can move the mirror realistically high in some cars.

It would only stick through the windshield (something which can also be done in some cars) if the Y-axis (distance from driver) did not follow the angle of the windshield.

Most mirrors touch something which touches the roof liner:

Not if everyone's already creeping forward when the light turns green...

Sounds nice in theory... but the problem is, you can dump the clutch several times before you actually move--and then you can move a little before the light goes green without penalty, so

LFS shouldn't try to simulate "racing with a head brace and blinders."

Sure you can look around in LFS, but you can't keep an eye on the road in front of you while you do it, ergo it's not realistic.

I say you should at least get the little name indicator if you would normally be able to see the driver with ~180° FOV. Low FOVs in LFS are just more realistic aside from the obvious loss of periphery.

IRL I would know that car was next to me without looking through a fisheye lens--why shouldn't I be able to in LFS?
