It was more a tech demo then a competition participation. The reason is, that i didn't found any complete specsheet. So i do not completely respecting the rules I even did not save the tweak - just wanted you to know whats possible...
i have some questions a bit away from the main LFS part. Maybe you get some time to answear them. But another chance is (the reason why i'm posting in this board) to get an answer from some well informed fan boys over here.
1.) Communication
How are you communicating between each other in the "devteam". By video-conferencing? Only by phone, chat, mail? I don't think you all are living really close to each other, right? At least not all of you...
2.) Office/Workplace
It would be really interesting to see the holy machines LFS is developed on, or maybe your workplace. Are you working at home? I know, these questions are maybe a bit "private" - but then just don't answer
Would be nice to get some information, would be just nice to know.
Thanks for mention that, you are completely right. Same situation over here And btw, we also have 100 % anti-dive and about 60% anti squat - i wouldn't say that this sis simple supsension engineering. Maybe the other way around, i'm not really sure...
Thought about that too, but scawen said some time, that we can only wish something, we can't demand. Because, at some point - they decide what to putt in the game and what not. So, if we aren't allowed to demand, demo racers aren't even allowed to wish. Logic, right?
And maybe a oval, just for oval racing.
And a GTR car, just for racing GTR's in oval
Oh, and a formula car - just for racing a formula in the oval.
And a Longer twistier track, just for racing...
u could go on and on!
Sorry Bruce, but a demo is a demo to give u piece of a product, u gave nothing to play around with the demo, so why do you think you can wish something?
Be satisfied with your demo content, or buy the full version, it's worth.
Why are there always these internet guys who think they get all for nothing. Nowhere in the world you get really quality work for nothing. So, if you like LFS pay back your credit and buy S2
Bi-Turbo: Two turbos, working together - if you have 4 cylinders - one turbo fills only 2 cylinders. So you can take two smaller turbos instead of using one which is bigger. The advantage is the seize, a smaller tubo is able to react faster, so you have a smaller "turbo hole" (i don't know if thats the right translation.
Twin-Turbo: You have also two turbos, but a small one for low revs, which reacts really fast and a big one for higher revs which has more boost instead of reacting fast.
Ah, Brunel. I know them, they finished only 37. this year at bruntingthorpe. Sounds really interesting what you are reporting about that team.
But what do you mean, with "to know how to mount radiators"? What do i need to know to mount a radiator? Maybe my translation of "to mount" is not exactly correct, so please help out
EDIT:
What are you talkin about? Trying to get on of our cars in the game since atleast 2 years... We have been the first ones, that asked Victor after S1 was released. Would be really nice to have a "simulator" of our car for fairs for example...
The main advantage of a diesel car should be the better fuel economy, but audi already admitted that this advantage is nonsense in le mans. Why? Because diesels fuel needs are approximatly the same like non-diesel fuel needs at full throttle. And le mans is a 70% full throttle track. So, target failed
Also interesting is that audi is talking about lug in technic, but they do have commonrail diesels only since a really short time
