i'm a little bit confused. Just a sceond ago, i raced on my own (online) host just against 2 AI drivers, called "Carl" and "Janina", on fern bay club with UF1. When "Janina" passed the finish line after lap 2 there appeared the following messege: "LFSW - AI drobe a new PB - 58.00". Does LFSW log the AI-times too?
But in the next lap, "she" did a 57.67 and nothing happend.
I'm a little bit confused...
The replay is attached, but i don't know if LFSW messages are displayed in the replay. But what i swear that i was the only human on my host.
Guy, calm down. Nobody wants to flame your suggestions. But i thought, that this is a discussion board. So why didn't you just wrote an email to the devs, when you don't want to talk about your suggestions. I only mentioned my thoughts... sorry for my opinion.
Ok problem is - i never saw pitcrews or visitors/spectators looking really nice without needing such an immense graphic and cpu power.
The main part of LFS is close online racing without any loading times and without high pc-performance needs. All the things u request are nice to have, but if u do a really fast and close race, u don't care about these things.
Let me conclude, many thinks like track-environment improvement are nice to have, but are not necessary. Atleast for me.
there is a big problem at Fern Bay Club Reverse. If you do a race in UF1, it's faster to join the race immediatley after the race starts and to launch from the pit. Because the finish line is almost at the beginning of the pits, the whole straight is between u and the rest of the racers.
Maybe this works also on other tracks and with other cars. There should be a limitation for joining race until all cars passed the pit exit.
You are searching for "Whoah, nice attention to detail" type stuff? What about the windmills around blackwood. They are a relly nice attention do detail, because they turn relative to the windspeed. So what do you want more? Details? Blackwood's fixed long straight. Never heard of a game, where the developers not only fixed some bumps in a track from one version(s1) to another (s2) but also designed that repair like a real repair, different colored tarmac. You know?
Ok... there could be some more life to the tracks - but LFS is an online simulator. So there are much more important features to come
NO... if you get a diesel into LFS, please don't let it be a TDI (fuel-injection), atleast it should be a commonrail.
Ok... your Mondeo ST Diesel is called Mondeo Titanium. So it's not a ST And 140mph is enough for all non-germans. So it's not enough for me Don't get me wrong, but diesel run out of air a bit near to vmax!
But what kind of petrol car do you compare with what kind of diesel? You compare for example a BMW 530d with a 530i. But thats not a right comparison. Because the diesel is turbocharged and the petrol car isn't. All the people who say that a diesel is as fast as a petrol car forget about that fact.
Don't get me wrong - i love diesel, for example the 530d (i drove one of them many times) but they aren't as fast as comparable petrol cars
You are completely right - but what i ment was more that there won't be any track made (because of no license for ex) _like_ the ring. 1 Possibilitiy is, that there will be the ring for LFS - the other is, there will be a long track with a high amount of turns - but nothing like the ring
Sorry - but thats not true at all... Because "daß" for example is pronounced exactly the same, like "das" and "dass" But "ss" at the end of a word wasn't allowed until the "rechtschreibreform" came
And that "ß" can now be written as "ss" is even less true. In a normal word, with "ß" in the middle for example like "Fußball": you still must write "ß" as long as you write in small letters - if you use caps, u have to write "SS" because there is no big "ß". Ok, enough now. And PLEASE do not think my many "SS" do have something to do with german history or even my political opinion :P
So - i have beaten u all!
On-Topic: Of course it would be really cool to have a long track like the northloop (lol) - but there won't be any track which is _like_ the one and only ring! You never could make a track even like the ring, because the ring is the ring. I think i don't have to go into detail, because u all know why!
It's really similiar looking to the Porsche test track at their factory in leipzig - was there some weeks ago during Formula Student Germany pre-event.
U all know, that there will be a Formula Student (Like the MRT) event next year in Hockenheim?
I think real pitlimiters are based on speed-meter and working with ignition-interruption. And thats exactly what i'm missing in LFS until now... Real GT cars are screeming really loud while passing pitlane. Because ignition-interruption is totally remorseless for the engine.
In LFS you drive through the pit lane with an engine limited to exactly 79 kp/h without any problems... totaly quiet.
