"Schumacher had beaten Grosjean in the opening race of their group, meaning the Frenchman met Vettel in the third quarter final. The three-time F1 world champion suffered an early exit however as a brush with the barriers broke the suspension on his KTM."
No, cause the car has an issue then. Here it had no appearant issue.
Anyway, doesn't matter much as by seeing the images RE: the green flag on left and stuff it's borderline but yeah... Nobody, not even Ferrari, will protest as it's just not done. I also think that Alonso is pretty happy with P2 and being hailed as "the better driver" for that performance.
Looking forward to next season already, this one was very interesting and amusing (and Austin was finally a nice new track)! Also curious to 2014 with the new engines... Well well, F1 is actually fun again!
""Where I went off you can get back on the track by going through the support race pitlane, but you have to go through a gate.
"I know this as I did the same thing in 2001 and the gate was open that year. Somebody closed it this time.
"Next year I'll make sure it's open again...""
Good job Red Bull and Vettel, personally I'd rather see Alonso win for his constant performance with an (for Ferrari) under par car. But in the end everyone earned their points and who's on top is the best one of the year. Incredible first lap **** up + lucking out though!
