Quote from Scawen :
Anyway, if it is any consolation, the "netcode" hasn't got any worse. There have always been bad collisions at times. It's well understood why it can happen.

Yes, we have known for a long time about the hit laghits when cars intersect each other at the moment of packet delay. This often bothers all of us. Perhaps it is worth making a different (smoother) algorithm for displaying clients? So that the hoster at the start of the server could choose the desired algorithm himself? Not for this update ofcourse, maybe for future ones, if it makes sense.

Quote from johneysvk :nah, keep it cosmetic.

Why?

Quote from Dennis93 :Yep, otherwise it’ll just be a meta game

And I did not quite get "meta game" take. According to you, having 4 slicks is also "meta game"? Then what does it even mean?
In my opinion, it's just the opposite thing. Right now we just have different skins for tires that do not affect anything, like some cs:go skins. But why? And at the same time, we have slicks with different softness (and wear resistance) of rubber, aka treadwear, I just suggest doing the same for normal and sport tires. Tire physics will change, and all lap records will have to be changed. Only at such moments can you make changes that affect tires. And in semi slicks there is a huge difference in tire grip depending on the treadwear, there is a hard Triangle, Tannus, Zestino that wears out for a very long time and have low grip or soft Westlake, Valino, Achilles, Toyo (R888R or r1r) which wears out quickly but has a large grip, and some middle ground tires. And All these tires play a huge role in real competitions where only semi-slicks are allowed. And same with only road tires.

If we in LFS had more choice it would add more strategy and tactics to circuit racing, and more choice for drift competitions. Because in practice the main thing is more wear and tear, and the competition has more grip. Brands will not go anywhere from LFS, i.e. you do not lose anything, but only acquire a new component in the gameplay of the game. I just don't understand why people don't want this...

Btw most of the mods are saloon and touring cars - 656 mods, (and they are the most downloaded ones) that can only run on sports or normal tires. F1+F.SAE+GT+Formula+Kart (witch is almost all on slicks) is 141 mods, and somereason for most of mods in LFS, we have the smallest selection of tires in terms of their characteristics...

A little update on the situation in Ukraine.

Since March 25, Russia has been losing more and more occupied territories every month (Pic 1-3), even what Putin declared on September 30 as Russian territory is now de facto not Russian territory. (Pic 4, I have drawn this as a red line that Putin has declared annexed territory, since that time, the annexed territory has not changed much)
At the moment, Russia does not even have the strength to seize what its Putin calls territory of Russia. From the available facts of the seized territories it has now become quite obvious that the Russian infantry is not capable of standing up to the Ukrainian army. Since the beginning of the war there is news of Russian infantry using WWI, WWII weapons, rusty ak-47 assault rifles that are over 40 years old. And uniforms without armor. For any civilized country this would be an outrageous lawlessness, but it is normal for our army. Even after the new mobilization in Russia on September 21, this did not lead to any results. But there was a lot of news about Russian army regiments being routed one by one against Ukraine's artillery, resulting in huge losses on Russia's part. Russia also lost a huge amount of armored vehicles, tanks and aircrafts. Some of the armored vehicles and tanks were captured by the Ukrainian side and are now used by the Ukrainian army.

There seems to be a war of attrition now, and Russia can do nothing but bomb Ukrainian infrastructure, factories, and power plants. Because of this, almost all of Ukraine suffers from loss of electricity.
In my opinion everyone has already ceased to understand the goals of this war, even the Russian leadership in public statements every time speaks about different goals, which they themselves contradict in their actions. The U.S. still has not started deliveries under the Land-Lease to Ukraine, which was discussed back in May. The executive branch of the government simply does not allow it. The funny thing is that Trump was reproached for his ties with Russia (which was not proven by 4 independent investigations) with the fact that he was pummeled by almost all the media for some positive words towards Putin. At after some time Biden does not allow the deliveries under the already signed Land-Lease and everyone in USA agree with silence.

I just don't understand why people are so fond of paying attention to the words and not the deeds of politicians. I understand that left-liberal propaganda plays a big role here, but its really Americans love TV so much and believe the politicians whose job it is to lie to the people? There is the Internet and you can just check the information, if you really want the correct information. I understand that for Americans is important is only America and no matter what happens there somewhere on the other side of the world. And majority of them even now will not find Ukraine on the map and on the one hand, it's not even bad and understandable, but when prices rise, and politicians obviously lie, don't questions arise?

And I had another idea, there are different tire brands in LFS. Why do we need them all if they are all the same? Let there be different treadwear for different tire brands. This can only be accepted for Normal and Sports tires. ill add it in list of top post.

Quote from Scawen :Of course, I don't really know if people find SPACE important. You can, of course, use an actual gap like in the screenshot.

My question was about road painted arrows, didn't really expect a discussion about the merits of AND vs SPACE on blocks. Big grin But your thoughts are very welcome which is why we are posting here. Smile

BUT I did find an annoying thing when trying to "type" with these blocks. I tried adding several blocks then changing their letter. But then sometimes had to change the actual object to another board that had the right letters on (in this case for S and P). Frown

In fact I could change the code so that all 49 characters (including SPACE and &) are on a single board, making the system more intuitive and easier to use but then that would remove the ability to select colours. Uhmm Or to be precise, it could be possible to allow TWO colours only.

Possibilities:

1) All white (or MAYBE 2 colours) all characters on a single board (easiest to use)

2) 4 colours - all letters on one board / all numbers on another board

3) As now: max 8 colours, A-M on one board, N to Z on another, 0-9 on third board.

It looks very good, imao space looks better with object.

About boards, I am for option 3, as a frequent user of the leyot editor, I would rather have a wide variety of colors than a little inconvenience with board, I'm already used to some inconveniences with Layout editor Smile but the second option is good for me too.

About some of inconveniences:

1. When you select several objects, dots then instead of arrows appear on the rotation slider (pic 1), dots cannot be pressed, and "<" ">" buttons not working, so only an inconvenient slider remains to be controlled with many objects, the slider is difficult to control precisely.
And it would be great if on rotation objects we could manage not to 1.4° but to 0.5° or even 0.1° (maybe with the hold ctrl or something like that) And it would be more convenient to be able to enter a specific number in degrees. As in the case of position.

2. It would be good to reduce the pitch for height for concrete objects so that it would be possible to make more gentle elevations with a turn now it is 0.25, but it would be more convenient to 0.05 or even 0.01, it would also be convenient to enter these values manually as with a position. Otherwise they turn out to be steps (pic 2). We have already found a way around this, but again it is not very convenient to make such a mosaic from a variety of concrete objects (pic 3, 4). Maybe you can make a new conctrete object with a turn and a lift. It would be convenient if you could also control the degree of lifting and turning same as the length width and height of other concrete objects..

3. We have the opportunity to put concrete objects, but why concrete? Why not asphalt? ground? grass? ice.. etc. I think you don't even need to add a lot of these objects, but to make just one that you can adjust the grip with the surface and set it texture (From some of the options) or just color. Perhaps this option is more for a Track editor, but it is not clear if there is a plan to implement it in the some near future. Maybe while it will be easier to do Layout editor.

4. Also, when you select and make an object active, the gost object on the cursor (which you set) will disappear, but the ability to set it on "O" does not disappear. I think for convenience it's better to Keep it visible all time.

5. And as always we want to increase limit of objects (now its 2400), and limit of selecteble objects (now its 60)

I realize this is already a long list, so maybe it's better to do tire physics and whatever is needed to complete the update, and come back to that later.Big grin

Quote from Dennis93 :Wear doesn’t always mean more temperature. I didn’t mention temperature once yet infact.

More wear = faster laptimes.
(Not crazy “I am drifting” temperatures)

Oh i read it like "more warm tires = better grip" in your first commentBig grin

Yes, apparently you about the fact that there is still a factor in increasing the tire contact patch due to tire wear.

But there is another factor that on track in places with frequent tire wear, tire particles roll into pellets on the surface of the tire and that worsen the grip. But I don't know if it's worth implementing in LFS.

Quote from Dennis93 :That's how it works in LFS; Hence why I wrote the message.
I'm fairly familiar with tires...

In LFS this is not the case too. The LFS also has operating range, how will you get faster lap time, at 60 tire temp or at 160?

But in imao grip after OR drops so hard that you feel like you're on snow or something until tire pop. In reality, the grip also falls after OR, but not as much. I illustrated how i feel it in the picture.

Quote from Dennis93 :More worn tires = better grip, that would be step one to change.

In reality, it doesn't work quite like that. As I wrote above tire has a "operating range" This is the range of temperature of the tire where is grip with the surface is greatest. Before OR and after OR there is a decline in the grip. And the grip gradually drops until the wear runs out tire to the cord of tire and here the grip falls dramatically until tire pop.

Quote from k_badam :Not sure what the point of this thread is? The topic of tyre physics and the various improvements it needs/is getting has been done to death.

Sсawen just starting working on this topic more actively lately. And probably it's important whether the opinion of the players coincides with what is happening in real development or not.

Quote from k_badam : I know there are only so many things to talk about on here but just let Scawen do his thing.

I'm sure a Scawen knows what to do, but we don't know what a Scawen does about tire physics. Maybe it will be described in the "Development Progress" topic. but I just can't wait Smile And work on the physics of tires was carried out earlier, but there seems to be no specifics about this, except that now all physics will work at 1000 Hz and tire physics too. It sounds good, but as players, we hardly understand how this will affect the handling of the car.

❗Time for five stage of Lislon Drift Challenge was changed on 2 hours early❗
Now is Time for event - 16:00 Moscow time (13:00 UTC)
Lislon Drift Challenge - Stage 5 - Judge Task

General rules on the track.

● The last white lines are the border of the track except some curbs. If the track boundaries conflict with the drawn white or clip zone lines, then the drawn lines (white or yellow) take precedence.
● Everywhere after initiation except the deacceleration zone go to full throttle.
● The handbrake and the brake are prohibited (except decel zone) for the whole length of the track for the leader.

Strike penalization, three strikes - disqualification.

● False start - one strike
● Knocked cone at the start/non-compliance with the starting procedure - one strike

Judge Task

● Acceleration on start after green light, bypassing the chikane. Without knocking down the cones.
● Initiation, start of configuration under assessment, before the yellow line should be a significant angle. Initiation can be done with little flick or clutch kick. Handbrake will be mistake for leader (and brake even more).
● Clip zone 1, the closer to the border of the track the better.
● The outside zone 1, you need to fill it from beginning to end, you can go on curb, the closer to the border of the track, the better, you can go on curb.
● Then we move inward and go to the Touch & go. Here you need to show only one front wheel in this zone. Leader cant go on curb, cheaser can go on curb.
● After transition we get to Clip zone 2, you can go on curb, the closer to the border of the track (end of curb) the better.
● Transition with a free trajectory, here you can choose a place and a trajectory for the transition yourself, the main thing is not to lose speed and a handy trajectory for follower.
● Touch & go, Here you need to show only one rear wheel in this zone.
● The outside zone 2, you need to fill it from beginning to end, the closer to the border of the track, the better.
● Decel zone, best way for slowing down here is increase the angle, and slow down without throttle. But if you need, you can use the handbrake, and slightly brake.
● The outside zone 3, you need to fill it from beginning to end, you can go on curbs, the closer to the wall, the better.
● Finish line.

Estimated by 0. (Critical mistake)

In Qualification:

● Drive off the track with 4 wheels.
● Opposite drift - Drifting with the opposite
angle required at that point on course
● Spinning Out
● Loss of drift - Straight wheels.

In Pair runs:

● Drive off the track with 4 wheels.
● Opposite drift - Drifting with the opposite angle
required at that point on course
● Spinning Out
● Loss of drift - Straight wheels
● Collision with the other driver that is considered “avoidable”
or unsportsmanlike
● A chase driver intentionally not chasing the lead driver after
an INCOMPLETE was scored on the previous run.
● Three consecutive restarts from chicane cones
● Performing an Illegal pass - results in an
INCOMPETE for the chase driver
● Getting legally passed - results in an INCOMPLETE
for the lead driver

Tire physics, what could be improved?
Aleksandr_124rus

Sometimes I noticed inconsistencies in the behavior of tires in LFS and in reality. idk, maybe it can help the development of the game. It's not that I think Sсawen didnt knows this, but just in case I want to share what I've noticed about tire physics as drifter and why it doesn't always match what I see in reality.

1. Wear. We have always noticed on race circuits that tires pop if we keep the temperature at normal values and wear out one of sides of the tire. But also in drifting, people often noticed that the tire pop from over 200 degrees. In real life drifting, it doesn't work quite like that, in drifting the tires grind down to the cord and lose the grip almost completely, since there almost no rubber and is only metal left. But in LFS there is no cord effect. (pic1)

Most experts consider 195 degrees Fahrenheit as the “line in the sand” when it comes to tire temperature: Beyond that point, the temperature will start impacting tire life. At 250 degrees, a tire will start to lose structural strength, could begin experiencing tread reversion and the tire will begin to lose strength.

But still it doesn't happen instantly like in LFS at a certain temperature, in real It's more about wear. And you can pop only after the cord, and this moment is immediately felt cuz there is almost no grip on cord.

2. Grip/temperature. Many people know that the tire has a "operating range" This is the temperature of the tire where is grip with the surface is greatest. Before OR and after OR there is a decline in the grip. And the grip gradually drops to not very good and not very bad until the wear runs out tire to the cord and here already the grip falls dramatically until tire pop.

In LFS, the temperature before OR is similar to the real one, and after OR disappears quite strongly and with smoke is smoothly lost grip until the moment the tire is pop. And the grip before pop falls so hard that you feel like you're on snow or ice.. (pic 2) It's just how I feel it, I'm not saying that my opinion is the ultimate truth.

And indeed, in real life, temperature and wear are interconnected, the higher the temperature, the faster the wear, in real life, after 200-250 degree, the rubber of the tire melts. But it seems that in LFS the cord grip is sort of simulated by a low grip after the operating range of the tire and this simplification greatly affects the handling of the car after the operating range. If in LFS tire adds a cord grip like the one in the upper graph (on pic 2), this would correct the situation.

3. Tire stiffness, as i get it, usually in a sports tire, a stiffer tire cord is made in the side parts of the tire too, and normal road tires have a harder rubber composition but a weak metal cord. I'm sure this affects on behavior of tires on the track.
But in terms of stiffness, I don’t see much difference in the LFS, and if you lower the tire pressure to 50 psi, then sports and normal tires behave the same. and go down one level.

In addition, in tires are used different cords, there are tires with diagonal and radial cords. The carcass of diagonal tires consists of several layers of cord, located at an angle to the radius of the wheel. Due to this, the textile cords in adjacent layers cross diagonally with each other. This structure is homogeneous over the entire surface, so the crown and sidewalls of the tire have similar mechanical properties.

With a radial tire design, the cord layers are directed across the center line of the wheel, along the radius. The frame shell is additionally covered with a breaker belt. As a result, the top and sidewalls of the tire differ from each other in their characteristics.

Diagonal cord has high sidewall strength and the better softening of hitting transmitted to the car when driving on roads with small potholes, when moving the seams of the road surface. In radial tires, a rigid breaker reduces tread deformation and the contact patch remains virtually unchanged in shape. Therefore, the volume of the groove does not decrease, and the tread lugs do not slip. But as far as I understand, radial cords are mainly used now in almost all road tires and diagonal for semi slicks. (But i dont sure here)

4. And I had another idea, not quite about physics, but about tires. There are different tire brands in LFS. Why do we need them all if they are all the same except for the logo? Let there be different treadwear for different tire brands. This can be accepted for Normal and Sports tires cuz sport tires arleady have 4 different slicks tires with different treadwear but for some reason the rest tires do not have it.

While that's all I could think of, if anyone else has any comments it would be cool if you shared them.

Quote from michal 1279 : that's why I think the car market wil not be fully electric by 2030/2035 and if it does...

And we talk about different things even here, because what I was saying is -
Quote from Aleksandr_124rus :And I'll try to explain why I'm talking about 10 or maybe 15 years. (About the moment when the majority will choose electric cars.)

Moment when the majority will choose electric cars is not the same when market will be fully electric, because majority is not a all people, and because the car market still contains an resale market, which probably will still be filled with ICE cars. And I have never talked about the sum of all the cars on the market at a particular moment. Because even if most people choose an electric cars, this does not cancel all existing ICE cars on market. And these two points do not contradict each other, because in theory it could be that at the moment when the majority chooses electric cars on new market cars, at the same moment, the majority of cars on the all market can be ICE cars. That's why I talked mostly about the car market of new cars, which is vast majority of it likely to be all-electric (and not all because in addition to electric cars, there are also cars that run on hydrogen and other gases, or biofuels.). And then ICE cars with a drop in demand, it may even become cheaper at first, and if it happens there for vast majority will be 2 choices, buy a cheap used ICE car with high taxes, or a new electric one with some sorts of benefits.

Quote from michal 1279 :I see problems in things you...

I will say, I disagree with a lot and I agree with a lot, because it is already becoming impossible to write a short and capacious comment that will answer everything, so i feel like respond to all of this is splitting hairs with essay writing.

But in my comments, I did not say that everything that happens is right or morally justified (And I don't understand why you attributed this to me). Like I said before I was just describing what facts and trands is happened. So in many ways we talked about different things.

Quote from michal 1279 :- Range is not really that much comaparable, esp. with older car and when it's too cold/too hot. EV is a great small city car, but once you need to get across a country, it is a nightmare.
- Accumulators significantly degrade with time and charging cycles, further reducing the range and usefulness. By the time ICE is still perfectly fine, the EV is ready for scrapyard (because buying new EV is more viable than changing the battery in old one).
- Charging rate is not very impressive and the fast charging increases the battery degradation even more.
- EVs on fire are very difficult to be put out, they even tend to reignite hours or even days after.
- The electricity cost in Europe is not very friendly lately, and might get even worse with green agenda shutting down reliable nuclear power plants. This can make EVs very pricey in the future unless you have house with massive solar panels.
- More... (not into writing long essays atm)

But thanks to what you wrote at the end, I understand better what you meant. And I agree with a lot of those things. And what I just can not verify as I do not own electric cars. I, like many others, just trying to learn something about the topic. But maybe in those 10-15 years a lot of this things could improve.

About the batteries. I heard something about long warranty periods, for example Tesla. Doesn't it include free replacing the batteries when they lose efficiency by a certain percentage? Although it is possible that this is simply too expensive for the manufacturer.

About range, I was talking about powerful Tesla top models which may drive about 650km or Mercedes EQS witn 727km range or Zeekr 001 with 732km range. But if we also compare among powerful ICE cars, then as a rule they have high fuel consumption, and often they cannot even drive 500km at one gas station. And yes, I understand that the declared range figures in electric cars greater from the real ones by 10-30%. And cars with ICE and low fuel consumption can drive more than 1000 km. But for 100 years ICE cars have already been improved and optimized many times in all aspects. If we are so fond of analogies, in the 1930-40 cars are also great fuel consumption, so for electric cars this is still beginning. By comparison, Tesla's top model in 2012 had range of 426km. And this number has improved in 10 years.

I agree that the switch to electric cars should be market driven and not forced by lobbies or states, I don't like what's going on but I can't change the facts.

Quote from michal 1279 :I'm talking about technological readiness of EVs.
Just because EU and other organisations that are completely out of reality ban ICEs, it won't suddenly make EVs viable option,

Electric vehicles are now technically ready. They are on average faster than ICE cars. They have a 2 or 3 times higher efficiency. Range is now comparable. The only thing is the scalability of production. Thats Why manufacturers are building more factories and increasing supplies.
Where do you see problems here? Shrug

Quote from michal 1279 :they'll just ideologically kill the other means of transport. And leaving EVs as the only option won't suddenly make it viable - it will just be the only option. A painful one to take. And all the subsidies, taxes and bans won't change that.

Yes, that's how it works. If you need a new car and you see that only electric cars are being sold, then you buy an electric car. I didn't think it needed to be explained. Big Eye

Quote from michal 1279 :In Apollo era the NASA planned to send human expedition to Mars by 1980s. 40 years later still no footsteps in martian soil. The only difference is in thier case it was a non-binding estimation, not a hard target they'd aim for no matter what the reality is. Guess what, they figured out they need more technological advancement to fulfill that goal and also there are other programs they could/should concentrate on.
Now it is technologically realistic that we can put human on Mars in 2030s; but EVs are still in their "1980s" stage - setting a goal in highly specific timeframe, but only hoping that the technological (and infrastructural) advancement is made within that time instead of being backed up by it already.

All you're doing here is making an analogy. An analogy can be used if you want to explain something to the interlocutor but not when you want to make a argument. I don't want to attack you, but I don't like analogies and I'll explain why. Analogy is not argument by default. So I don't even have to answer it. Because an analogy is a comparison of two things by one or more properties.
I, too, can compare electric cars with Ford's car revolution for example, when in 20 years America turned into a car country. So what it means? That electric cars same like ICE cars? (But at least this analogy was understandable because we are talking about cars here and there.) Or I can compare a finger and ass. These are 2 different things. They both have skin and have blood in it, and sweat cells for example. Does this mean that a finger and an ass are the same things? No. So what analogy means? Nothing. Anything can be explained by analogy simply by comparing one with the other. It has no argument.

There is such a thing as the laws of logic, it's good to know when you're arguing. For example - the law of identity When we talk about electric cars, we talk about flying to Mars, this is a violation of the law of identity cuz when you talk about going to mars, you are talking about going to mars. Not about electric cars. These 2 things are different for a huge number of reasons that I will tire of listing. But all these reasons can be reduced to the fact that going to Mars is not the same as increasing the scalability of the production of electric vehicles. They are just different things. So thats why Analogy is not argument.

The analogy is also bad because it does not get me closer to understanding why you think that electric cars technological readiness not ready or something.

Quote from Gunn :I don't think EVs have a certain future. Time will tell.

I'm wondering what all this is based on? In my opinion, there are 3 options, either you speaking at the level of emotions, or you do not know the facts or both at once.
Purely emotionally, perhaps I don’t really like this either, as a connoisseur of the aesthetics of ICE cars I want the ICE cars to stay longer. But when it comes to such reasoning, one should not reason on the basis of emotions, one should give rational arguments. I also do not know what will happen in the future, I do not have a crystal ball where I can see it.Smile But at the same time, I can't oppose anything to the current trends.

Quote from NumberTwo :I'm not sure about the future of EV's, at the moment i dont see how it would be viable to go EV only for any of the countries in lets say next 25 years....

Quote from michal 1279 : As a mechanical enginner I see EVs truly viable in about 50 years from now.

The same goes for specific numbers about how long it will take. And I'll try to explain why I'm talking about 10 or maybe 15 years. (About the moment when the majority will choose electric cars.) Of course, we do not know the future, and anything can happen. And I'm only talking about the facts and the trends that are happening now.

1.
In July 2021, the European Commission published an official green plan that covered renewable energy, infrastructure upgrades and proposed a ban on the sale of new combustion engine-powered cars from 2035.

The US is going to ban internal combustion engines In the US, as well as in Europe, they plan to abandon cars with internal combustion engines. From 2035, only new cars powered by electricity or hydrogen will be allowed to be sold in California.

The authorities of the Chinese province of Hainan intend in 8 years - by 2030 - to completely ban the sale of cars with traditional gasoline or diesel engines. According to the Xinhua News Agency, by 2025 all public transport, as well as trucks and buses, will be switched to electricity.

Now imagine yourself in the shoes of the manufacturers of ICE cars . You can't keep deliveries of ICE cars at the same level until 2035 (or 2030) and abruptly stop produce and selling? What to do with leased space for factories? with employees? With equipment? And conveyorized automated factories? This means that all manufacturers in Europe, USA, China and others Western countries will smoothly switch to making electric cars by 2035. And customers at some point will simply have no choice.

Yes, perhaps some countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa will still use cars with internal combustion engines. But even they will not be able to resist trends for long. And in some specific countries it may even take 25-50 years. But In Norway, most cars (about 80%) are already electric.

2. In addition to laws, there is now a market trend for electric cars, everyone knows about tesla. But do you know about Geely? Wuling? BYD? BAIC? Nio? JAC? Byton? And others. Some of these vehicles are superior to the Tesla in price and range.
The emergence of new manufacturers increases market competition, the increase in the model range of individual manufacturers occupies new market niches, the increase in production volumes and automation factories reduces production costs, and all this reduces the price.
And this is the key point. as long as the price of electric cars continues to fall, this will increase the demand for electric cars. And you can see it in the pictures with the statistics where you can see that in China the Wuling and BYD models are already buying more than Tesla.

3. The green lobby and the global warming lobby, I think all of you understand that this also plays an important role here. Now there is obviously a trend towards the transition to renewable energy sources. And this lobby not only promotes, but also influences states to give subsidies to electric car manufacturers and raise taxes on ICE cars. Also, often customers in different countries are given different discounts, benefits and bonuses for buying electric cars.

4 Infrastructure, let's talk about Russia now as an example. Russia is a conservative country that politically opposes the West. And he tries to resist many political decisions of the West. It would seem that lobbying for electric vehicles is also largely a political decision of the West. But even Russia does not go against it. Russia is not as wealthy per capita as many countries in the West, but Russia is still building a lot of gas stations to fill up cars, even though we have banned the supply of Western automakers. And we do not yet have our own electric car manufacturers, while we are hoping for supplies from China at a time when in China itself there is now a strong demand for electric cars that manufacturers cannot provide. But even Russia continues to build charging stations for electric cars. Whereas already now in the USA and many Western countries there are apparently no big problems with charging stations.

This is my opinion why it won't take as long as you say. This opinion is based on facts that are already is the objective reality given to us in sensation. And purely on an emotional level, I want the ICE cars to stay longer, but even if I don't like my opinion, I can't change the facts. Emotionally I can only hope that facts will change. But rationally, I understand that perhaps this is not necessary.

Regardless of my opinion, I think the market should show everything. And its has already shown quite well, for 10 years Tesla has proved that electric cars are the future, no matter how I feel about it. I think in 10 years, ICE cars will be rare and expensive objects for connoisseurs, and I'm not sure that they can be used on public roads,(if yes, then with big taxes) this is what everything is going to now.

Quote from Flotch :physics my dear !

Quote from loopingz :Multithreading became a necessity to switch to 1000Hz

Maybe I'm wrong, but I got the feeling that physics with 1000Hz was ready, and multithreading was the last thing that needed to be done. Because Scawen said that he needed to optimize the code so that physics would work well on 1000Hz and that's what multithreading was needed for. it just wasn't optimized, now it seems to have been optimized. That's why I'm asking what's next. I thought that maybe I need to finish something in the graphics that i missed.
Or is tire physics a separate topic in which devs need to work?

It would be great if a similar style of reports would be not only for Multithreading topic. Later it could be combined into reports in the style as it was done before. But i guess no.
Btw, Multithreading was one of the last things left to do? Is there still something left to finish the update for a testing stage?
