Quote from superlame :You can rotate points. Select the points you want, click L / R / T / B so you enter the special view mode. Hold CTRL and you have R button. Slide that R and you rotate.

I Don't know if you meant, that's what I understood from your comment.

Oh, thanx for that tip.
I even used it once but forgot.Big grin

Remove the selection of points on the middle mouse button.

When you're close to a car and you select a lot of points and you turn the camera and accidentally highlight a point on the middle mouse button, and the selection is reset, you also can't roll back the selection on ctrl+z..And you need to select everything all over again, it's annoying

Rotate Selected Points

We have a resizing function in point mode, but we can't rotate selected points in point mode, It would make life easier in some cases.

RX-7 FC3S for real drift competitions training (RDS GP)
Aleksandr_124rus
S3 licensed
I have an friend Vanya Godzilla who this year will participate in the RDS GP, wich is considered one of the strongest drifting championships in the world (about top 3. RDS, Formula Drift and Drift masters, these championships are about the same level), Godzilla with hes team has already started to build FC3S for this competition. At this time I start to make a mod in LFS for training on replicas of real tracks in LFS to train for drifting competitions.

If you turn on subtitles and automatic translation, most of what he says will be understandable

In fact, he had already trained in LFS for RDS in 2017 and according to him it helped him.

Drift competitions are different in that there are no restrictions on power or suspension, but there are many restrictions on the tire. The exact size, and last year they introduced a mono wheel and now all pilots must use the same brand that the organizers provide.

But unfortunately we don't have an endless budget and we will have a 2jz gte engine with 600+ hp.

The body is very rare for this type of competition, so there is no ready-made solutions and the engineer will come up with the suspension himself. The suspension for drifting is different in that it requires a large maximum lock of the front wheels.

Competition starts in May, and the car should be ready and tested before that, so I do not have so much time to model a mod from scratch and I took the help of Rubie, and thanx to him I could use DORITO-FC7 D mod as a base for creating my FC3S mod. Now I just had time to make in the blender exactly the same widebody as the real one that will be used in the competition. But the most important thing is the physics and the suspension.

It's a very strong drift championship with big budgets and very strong drivers and the fastest tracks in the world in this kind of motorsport. And Godzilla lacks experience and he will have a relatively non-powerful car on a rare body that will take some getting used to. It will be a tough challenge for us, but we are not discouraged and will try to do our best.

Quote from Scawen :Gentle reminders work better with me, rather than trying to ram it down my throat / rub my face in the shit or whatever metaphor.

I have a lot to do and I can get through more when I have peace of mind. Irritation makes me less able to get work done.

Everything is here on a list and I'm trying to get it done. You might have observed by now, I'm not really forgetful about things that have been mentioned on test patch threads. Regardless, I don't mind gentle reminders but a list of dumb insults isn't at all helpful.

I perfectly understand this feeling, Nod I also worked on projects that required feedback from a large number of people. And I also received irritating comments about what needs to be changed or added. And often without reasoning.
Then the idea came to me, I just started to make polls for proposals, and in the first place I did those things that were in the top of the polls. Simply because these are objectively the most requested things that users want to see. And i don't have to rely on the opinion of one or of a few.
As it turned out many of those annoying comments were not the majority opinion. And afterwards, I calmly answered them that there are more requested tasks, unlike yours.

I think something similar can be done in LFS. Thats why ill do these post - https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/97725-Favorite-feature-request-by-most-of-players-
https://www.lfs.net/forum/thread/98163-Favorite-feature-request-in-mod-system-by-most-of-players

But obviously that's not the best way to implement it.
Because at least there are 2 types of people who communicate on the forum, and who just use the game.
I often talk to my friends from LFS, and they have their own opinion where LFS should move and what should be added or changed, which is different from mine. But they haven't posted any of that on the forum. In fact, they very rarely go there. I do not have statistics, but I think that actively use the forum a small percentage of the players LFS. And in these polls there are only 15 options, which seems like a lot, but not always.

Imho, for this reason, it would not be bad to implement it same as a list of upcoming events, in main menu, somewhere near it.
For example, in a special forum thread (will be convinient use Improvement Suggestions treads for this), players can make threads with thread title of the proposal which will be displayed in the main menu with the opportunity to vote for it, such as a "like" or "dislike". Or just for one of many options. It would also be possible to click on the name of the proposal, which would lead to a thread with a detailed explanation of what is meant. Then you will have a larger and more objective coverage of people with their suggestions and the amount of opinions about them that will be reflected in the voting.

I realize that it seems odd when the conversation came up about irritating comments with suggestions and here I am making a suggestion to that effect. Big grin That sounds ironic. Shrug
Not for this update obviously, and if you need it. I'm not pushing it, I just want to make things easier for Scawen. Because it helped me. If it's unnecessary, then okay.
Peace to everyone. Smile

upd; sorry, the original post is elsewhere, you can send my post there too if it bothers you here.

Quote from tumes925semut :Russians can do everything i like that

in reality it is the opposite.

if we are talking specifically about the russian people, and not the state then the Russians can do nothing, now Russians do not decide anything at all, there is no democracy, there are no liberal freedoms. There is a totalitarian, police, oligarchic state. It decides everything for the people and brainwashes the people that is the people decided everything. But for some reason, along with this, propaganda says that Russia will not exist without Putin, and so on..

Quote from Scawen :To me that seems like another option for s_clocks_alp:

- show numbers (no/yes)
- show markings (no/yes)
- needle colour
- text colour

Clock texture with alpha channel is a great improvement for mods, choose the color of numbers and arrows as also is a great feature.

If it can be done in a short time, then i would like to choose from multiple fonts. In some cases to create a realistic replica, you need bold numbers in s_clock texture, sometimes italic, sometimes a special font, and in idial so that you can choose it yourself from installed in windows if it possible.

For example now i making Nissan 400Z GT4 replica, in race dashboard there a bold nubers, and i cant recreate that.. and if possible I would like to use more than one type s_clock texture because I still have analog gauge that I would like to recreate.

By the way, the new racing dashboards have color screens, and for throttle pressure there is usually a fill-in Circle or half-circle or straight line. And s_clock_formula kinda have it, but it does not bend into a straight line or into a semicircle, but into some intermediate states. And It would be cool to have it multicolors. But same time I would prefer the release of new graphics and physics as soon as possible Big grin

Quote from Scawen :I've made this appear beside the CT indicator, just an early test so far.

Naturally it comes out as a "Health" value that starts at 100% and goes down from there (if you downshift too early -> over rev). No change in the physics, this is only a display.

One bad shift affects it quite a lot, so I think one decimal place is enough. Maybe the straight percentage with no decimal place would be OK?

In my opinion it already looks good enough, but not quite universal, for the clutch we have a filling bar, and for the engine percentages. Although, it's easy to get used to it.

Quote from Scawen : I was thinking the engine symbol could start grey then go yellow then red with more damage. Possibly if pit engine repair is implemented, the colours could line up with "minor damage" and "major damage".

I think it would be better, if it is not difficult. I don't know what it's worth on time perspective. I, like many others palyers are interested in that as soon as possible came out update with graphics and physics so if you can save time on this patch to go to a more expected update, I would choose this.

Quote from Scawen : An engine damage display on screen.

Since we have the opportunity to see the heating of the clutch, then I'd like to see the percentage of engine damage or some sort of bar, but at the pitstop I'd like it all to be optional. I think a lot of people want to see their races realistic as possible. Where there is no way to quickly fix the engine. And some others, who not cares about realism, be glad of such an opportunity.

Quote from Scawen :
I'm thinking when you have a 6 hour race and you do one dodgy gearchange, so now you have a weak engine for the next 5 hours. Disappointing and maybe not so bad if you could just pay for it with a pit stop.

If it possible, I'd like all of these things to be separate for the race host and optional. Like repairing on pits: damage to the engine, gearbox, suspension, bodywork, etc. and you check the boxes to enable or not. Someone does not want to have the opportunity to repair the engine and gearbox. But the suspension and body can be repaired. Someone wants to include everything.

And If possible, I would separate engine and gearbox damage. I would attribute incorrect switching of gears to damage to the gearbox. Overclocking on the engine cutoff, or damage to the body in places where the engine is installed (or add a radiator object, if damaged, the engine will gradually gain damage) I would attribute it to engine damage. Because in real the radiator can sometimes be repaired in a short time, and the engine, if it means damage of engine block or someting in cylinder head cannot be repaired in a short time. This already sounds complicated to implement so I don't know if it's worth it.

General rules on the track.

● The last white lines are the border of the track except some curbs. If the track boundaries conflict with the drawn white or clip zone lines, then the drawn lines (white or yellow) take precedence.
● Everywhere after initiation except the deacceleration zone go to full throttle.
● The handbrake and the brake are prohibited (except decel zone) for the whole length of the track for the leader.
● Yellow cones for indicating of clip zones, so that it can be seen better.

Strike penalization, three strikes - disqualification.

● False start - one strike
● Knocked cone at the start/non-compliance with the starting procedure - one strike

Judge Task

● Acceleration on start after green light, bypassing the chikane. Without knocking down the cones.
● Leader cant cross white restriction line.
● Initiation on the yellow line, before this line there should be a significant angle. But you don't need to show a backward. This will be penalized in pair runs. initiate with a clutch or flip. Handbrake here will be mistake for leader.
● The inside zone 1, you need to fill it from beginning to end, the closer to the border of the track, the better.
● Touch and go, here you need to show only one rear wheel in this zone.
● The outside zone 2, you need to fill it from beginning to end, the closer to the border of the track, the better.
● Touch and go 2, here you need to show only one rear wheel in this zone.
● Touch and go 3, here you need to show only one rear wheel in this zone.
● The outside zone 3, you need to fill it from beginning to end, the closer to the border of the track, the better.● Decel zone, here you can increase the angle, and slow down without throttle, you can also use the handbrake, and slightly brake.
● Touch and go 4, here you need to show only one rear wheel in this zone.
● The outside zone 4, you need to fill it from beginning to end, the closer to the wall, the better.
● Finish line.

Estimated by 0. (Critical mistake)

In Qualification:

● Drive off the track with 4 wheels.
● Opposite drift - Drifting with the opposite
angle required at that point on course
● Spinning Out
● Loss of drift - Straight wheels.

In Pair runs:

● Drive off the track with 4 wheels.
● Opposite drift - Drifting with the opposite angle
required at that point on course
● Spinning Out
● Loss of drift - Straight wheels
● Collision with the other driver that is considered β€œavoidable”
or unsportsmanlike
● A chase driver intentionally not chasing the lead driver after
an INCOMPLETE was scored on the previous run.
● Three consecutive restarts from chicane cones
● Performing an Illegal pass - results in an
INCOMPETE for the chase driver
● Getting legally passed - results in an INCOMPLETE
for the lead driver
