Won't happen... Neither track nor facilities are adequate to host F1... It would require a major rework, and to be honest I like it how it is - that is how it was since '95...
Since the V8SC organization cracked down on internet uploads of their races I'm looking for a new supplier for the race broadcasts... Anyone tested V8 SuperView? Is it the same as the 7 broadcast? Is the quality of the replays (not staying awake for the live event) any good?
It lasts exactly as long as the alpha will... As soon as beta starts, the price will go up to € 35. But a simple look at the official homepage would have told you that already...
Yep, one for the rifle, one for the attached grenade launcher...
The game looks stunning, and the AI has had a noticable upgrade as well... I feel the new gear system also is an improvement, although it's as finnicky as the old one, but for different reasons...
For anyone who doesn't want to feel Steam's banhammer, Lite Invites start the 14th, so not even a week from now...
Recoil is appaling atm for anything over 15 m (you really don't want to engage the AI that close), and the fact that all your starting rifles in the showcases are semi-auto doesn't help... It feels like you're not a well-trained soldier, but a weak-limbed computer programm- oh wait...
It's not the first time he used the show to call out people for what turn out to be his mistakes... He is a narcissistic know-it-all with no ability to deal with any opinion but his own... The idea for the show is probably the only positive about him...
A "grip driver" is one who grips the wheel so hard his knuckles turned white permanently. Consequently, he goes through wheels in no time at all, while cursing the build quality of the apparently incapable manufacturers.
"Grip racing" on the other hand has nothing to do with motorsport. People lie down on the ground and can only use their hands and arms to propel them forward, the rest of their body has to be completely still. Even this sport has had its weirdos (three years ago, the Australian competitors raced lying on their back) and its share of scandals (one American competitor was found out to have cheated for years with performance-enhancing clothes)...
Could you share the URL? I mean, I like both drivers, but the amount of Vettel- and Schumi-wanking was so horrible I tried to find any stream too. The only one I managed to find was just the Sat.1 stream again in less resolution...
To be honest, that really didn't went well for them. I remember watching it on the website but it was lagging so bad I gave up halfway through... Probably didn't see more races inbetween buffering than I did today...
It doesn't help that Sat.1 seems to forget they broadcast a racing event... Naming it "the Vettel and Schumi show" would have been so much nearer the actual content... Cutting away from races for ads is a nuisance, doing it to interview the (german) trainer of the Thailand national football team is just stupid... :banghead:
I wonder why there is no thread about it yet. Nobody watching Race of Champions?
Nations Cup is about to start, the individual Race of Champions is tomorrow. Germans can watch it on Sat.1, rest of Europe needs MotorsTV, Australia can watch on Speed, and Americans have the DRIVE stream on Youtube.
Not really... Just looks like a strangely low steering ratio for a race car on the Ring...
One thing people might be alluding to: If you think about the dimensions of the car, the driver sits right behind the front axle... As such, maybe the point the car pivots around is in fact very near or even in the cockpit...
Wow, shelling out 10k for a stereo in a car, which probably is about the worst place in regard to interference, really isn't that smart... Now, that monstrosity just takes the cake... And you question his sanity...
Yeah I thought so too, and although it improved it didn't really get better... It's still limp, it just jerks more when there is real force... I don't know, maybe there is a magic setting I just haven't discovered yet...
About the Perez - DiResta incident: I agree with the stewards that a car rejoining the track can't immediately go to the racing line... But watching the race, I thought Grosjean took such a shallow line that even if Perez had left room they would have collided... As such, I found the penalty very harsh...
I really like the linear steering... Somehow, I feel in control really for the first time I'm driving on iRacing rather than just hanging on trying not to crash... However, I think the power steering (where applicable) is way overboosted now that the small forces aren't exaggerated anymore... The V8SC is completely limp save for hitting a ditch...
Yes, racing into points positions before any safety car interventions TWICE in one race, it's all down to luck, no skill involved whatsoever...
Also, I only saw one mistake, and I remember he was last at the first restart, I really don't consider that getting away...
Nobody tries to deny skill from Prost, Mansell or Schuhmacher just because they happened to win in dominant cars... Hell, even Senna most of the time had a car that was superior to all others in the field... This bashing Vettel is quite baffling and frankly makes you lot sound desperate...
