Quote from HVS5b :Still nowt on DarcyF1, how long does it normally take to appear?

Eh? There were clips while the races were still running and I downloaded and watched the races on Saturday and Sunday evening...

Somebody please enlighten me: apart from eerily similar handling of cars that span half a century and apparently meaningless friction percentages, what's wrong with four wheel drifts?

Quote from BlueFlame :burping, really

Seriously, I wonder sometimes if your skull is only there to keep your head from caving in... How about you read what clipping is, maybe look at pretty pictures too - maybe then you'll understand that there is absolutely no clipping in the wave ATHome showed you...

Also, there was no clipping in the video... With such short distance to the car, that must have needed a serious setup, hats off!

Would certainly make more sense than Morocco... Don't know if they can live with not being headliner though...

I needed a second look to determine whether maybe the aspect ratio was wrong...

Even better than 1 - it seems to have no aliens...

This has been on my radar since the E3 reveal - largely because of Vaz (the baddie)...

Oh the possibilities of cheating with such amount of information!

There is no advantage being gained focussing on vectors directly in front of you instead of looking ahead... The whole argument is a desperate struggle to explain why you're slow instead of trying to actually get better...

This nonsense seems to spread epidemicly... Is this NASCAR spreading their "wisdom" again?

Quote from Mustangman759 :Your australian

Despite that, he raises a valid point... The example given has nothing to do with draft...

Quote from Mustangman759 :Aero/draft is unrealistic. There is no air pushed up into the other car in front.

Quote from DANIEL-CRO :Car on the back make higher pressure in front of him, and the result of this is pushing car in front. But of course this isn't so strong push as for car in back.

[...]About draft, it should be much higher at lower speeds. Drafting with friends on highway I've reached top speed over 180 kmph ( rev limiter ), with car which top speed is about 160kmph.

And that is why starting an open debate on what users think is wrong seldomly leads to good suggestions...

What's wrong with watching 22 hairy-chested, muscular men groping at each other, trying to "fall onto" the guy carrying the pig-skin egg?

Nah, big fan for a couple of years now... Besides, it's the most interesting thing happening in the hiatus motorsport takes over the winter... Watched or DVR-ed almost every game they broadcasted over here (1 per week), I even went to the World Cup Finals this year...

Quote from JackDaMaster :Reading release notes is fun

As is understanding the point someone is trying to make...

Quote from anttt69 :I drove the vette with the brakes on, nothing happened.

Can confirm that: dragging the brake several laps on the oval, not even a glimmer when they should be on the verge of exploding...

Even if it took Eric and Scawen only 10 minutes to do any longer than a competition dragstrip it would be a waste of time...

Those who don't agree learn about gearing and find out why it's completely useless...

Quote from Eclipsed :Quite stunning temperature variation, but it's just surface temperature, seems like LFS shows temperature deeper in thread, where aren't such variation. Just guessing though...

Hold Ctrl + Shift with open F9 menu and you'll see the surface temperature...

You also see that tyre heating in LfS is clearly broken, as the core temp is trailing the surface temps only by a couple degrees...

Ah - memory, the subtle and wonderful veil over fact...

If your assumption should be true and DK lets himself inspire by his experiences rather than cross-referencing the results with the tons of data they claim to have gotten from CALSPAN, then I feel he's way too hung up about the "oh god that went wrong"-feeling he got when overstepping the limits...

Cancer takes away another great soul, it's time someone finally found a cure...

The engine fading in/out into the distance and the reverb is done quite well... The engine sounds themselves are laughable, do these people never get to real tracks anymore?

Quote from ACCAkut :in-depth car sound comparison (~15 minutes)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v ... ature=channel_video_title

What comparison? With all the reverb in his room a comparison is as laughable as the videos he's slating at the beginning... If he wants to compare RL to an amplified signal (which let's face it, not that many people want to spend the bucks for), it should have come straight from the amplifier, not from a mic in his room...

I'd say Lowndes and Whincup are a big part of their success... Also, they invest heavily in talent, like snatching Burgess from Jim Bean Racing...

From what I've understood, they have the same basis, but apart from the few standardized parts (mostly along the aero and drivetrain) they can build up the car within the regulations how they like... The rollcage alone can help massively with rigidity, then there's the engine, the front suspension, airdam design and so on - even ducting can make a difference if Larkham is to be believed...
