Quote from Jakg :iirc in one translation of the Bible it says that they found their wives in the local village (which sort of makes a mockery of the whole thing tbh).

Well, its a well known fact that most wives are to be found in the local village...thats where teh SHOPS are!!

Quote from breadfan :Has anybody seen Iron Man? Is it worth watching?

Iron Man IS good..probably one of the best "Marvel" films to date.
Anybody who has seen the latest Hulk film would have LOL'd at the references to Iron Man at the end....but wont post any more spoilers!

Dunno if it counts as a film...but the last three episodes of Doctor Who were bloody good...I hacked them about and did some editing so that it ran straight through without the overlap between episodes, and it makes for a pretty good movie

Isnt Skype to Skype calls free to anywhere though? I always thought that you only paid for Skype calls if you called a normal landline/cellphone.

MSN with a decent cam/headset is the answer though...EmmyLou chats for hours to her sister in France for sweet FA via MSN

One thing that always confused me...If Adam was 1st man...Eve came from Adam, (seeing as she came from "a rib" then that suggests she was a genetically engineered clone*) they had two sons, Cain and Abel...
Right so far?
Well...where the heck did the women that the sons married come from, and who performed the ceremony????

* God says to Adam..."You need a companion, and I am going to make you one"
Adam replies: "Cool...I want a sexy Blonde that always does as she is told, never answers back, doesn't nag, and won't spend a fortune in the shops...How much will that cost me?"
God says: "For that, it'll cost you an arm and a leg, my son!"

Adam: "OK then, what can I get for a rib?"

Quote from Luke.S :How the does someone leave a 26inch tv on the bus. And a printer. Are they dumb or blind lol.

What they did was to leave the TV (and the printer, but it was two different occurrences) in the luggage rack at the front of the bus when they got on. When they got off by the middle doors, they forgot they had the items...by the time they realised, the bus was already moving off

You just would not believe the stuff people leave on buses...
In Oxford the rule is.."If it reaches the driver, then you WILL get it back"..mostly because sometimes not-very-honest people find it before the driver (
I personally have returned:

An iMAC (well..I wouldn't want that anyway!)
2 iPhones
Lots of normal cellphones.
Loads of iPods/MP3 players,
Wallets (again, lots!)
A pushchair *(baby buggy for you lot across the pond!)
A 26" widescreen tft TV
A HP Laserjet printer
at least a dozen laptop PC's
A blue 34C bra... (DONT ASK!!!!!!!!,,,but I would have loved to be the guy in Lost Property who had to return it to the owner ...would try the CINDERELLA METHOD...got to prove it fits )
4 or 5 SUITCASES (How the heck do people going to an airport forget they have a bloody suitcase?? 0.0)

and..
About a million umbrellas

Quote from Glenn67 :Currently it is not good because if anyone uses manual clutch (G25 users) they will be under constant suspision of using a macro to gain advantage.

Aha,,,problem there Glenn...If anybody can write a Logitech macro for me that allows me to use my G25 clutch pedal and change gear with my H-shifter in less than 0.1 seconds, with 100% accuracy (no missed gears!) I will be VERY HAPPY!!!
Unfortunately, this would also involve some sort of hardware link with my brain, central nervous system and muscles; not to mention some implants to increase the efficiency of my hand movements.
As I can't seem to find this sort of stuff on e-bay or e-buyer, I will just have to assume that those using clutch PLUS shifter are not getting an advantage, although JUST using a clutch may be...although most people can press a button with their thumb a lot faster than they can press a pedal with their foot,

Heres a question for you all:
Do you consider using Vicks Nasal Spray to unblock your nose if you want to go to work/school if you have a head cold? Do you consider using this third party "add-on" as a cheat?

No?

Well, try running a competitive sports event after using it and then see if you pass a doping test!
Point? It should only be considered cheating if it gives an unfair advantage, which the clutch macro DOES!

Quote from Juls :Maybe this is the solution... in the WR list should be written if you use analog clutch/h shifter.
So you can sort records more precisely according to controllers used.

Because using mouse or wheel/clutch/shifter is like playing a different game.

er....read the post about 3 up from this one

[edit]...oops, you posted a "+1" on my improvement thread, so I guess you must have read it [\edit]
Hotlap filter for clutch/shifter

Could Victor implement another filter in the hotlap charts so that it would be possible to just see clutch PEDAL/ H-shifters in the charts, in the same way that mouse/kb users are filtered.
There is already a flag that shows auto-clutch on/off or shifter, so I imagine that this wouldn't take too mush change in the code.

Said it before, will say it again...REAL drivers use a clutch that is pressed with a left foot...not a bloody button!!!!
I am another that would love to be able to filter the hotlap charts to show only clutch/shifter users in the same way you can filter out mouse/kb users.
The big difference is, with a paddle shifter using either auto clutch or a skript, it is impossible to miss a gear...I would love to see these skript-kiddies trying to drive properly!

Maybe I'll go spam the improvement suggestion section

Quote from Theafro :I use a clutch/shifter setup which puts me at a disadvantage against those that use 2 pedals and paddle-shift. But it doesn't matter to me though, If I'm the fastest Clutch user on the chart, that's as good as a WR for me!

At last a post that I can agree with wholeheartedly
If it wasnt fro the fact that to do so would be an administrative nightmare, I would love to see TWO WR charts, one for clutch/shifter, and one for arcaders! As it happens all of my hotlaps were done with clutch/shifter..they arent particularly fast, but as Theafro says, if I'm top clutch user then its as good as WR for me

Mike (Rodgers)...Maybe people with a G25 CHOOSE not to use a button clutch because they have a pedal for it instead! Also, what's the point of spending lots of beer-tokens on a wheel/shifter, only to use it the same as any cheap wheel?

A person can be a "Good Christian" without ever stepping foot in a church. The common conception of what makes somebody a Good Christian does not necessarily involve worship.
Adversely, there are a great many hypocrites out there that believe that they can break every rule in the Book as long as they go to church every Sunday and smile at the cameras and wave to the crowds...then go home and order another 15,000 men to go and get shot at in Iraq/Afghanistan.
Are you listening Messrs Bush and Brown?

Quote from hannah :there is alot of sexism.
Go to my thread in the begginers forum.
It had to be closed due to it "getting out of hand" with over excited kids
and there was alot of sexual comments there

Lets be realistic here Hannah... I just read that entire thread, and the vast majority of the posters were welcoming, with a bit of friendly banter thrown in...Yes, I'll agree that a FEW of the lads went a little bit OTT,and as you say, over-excited kids ; but that is hardly a lot when taken as a percentage of the total number of members (over 27,000!!!!) on this forum.
As for "sexual comments"...well, there was a bit, but also some very clever use of "Double-Entendres", that were in their own way quite amusing...just ask anyone over 40 about Frankie Howerd in Up Pompeii....he was a master of the Double Entendre!

What I'm REALLY trying to say is..DONT GIVE UP!!!!

PS...Pearcy & W4H, do you HAVE to hijack threads with personal arguments? Cant you just PM people to rant at them?

EDIT: forgot my hammer :smash3d:

Sexism?? what Sexism?? I can honestly say that apart from a few obvious tongue-in-cheek comments, this forum is far from sexist....except maybe in the case of certain homophobic people who shall remain nameless...and even THAT was in fun!
