The BIG question is...how many of the games mentioned are available on PC?? The one I posted up in the first link is...but I honestly dont know about all the others.
What about looking at the replays, and seeing that the clutch bar NEVER moves (or shows!) I just tried out auto clutch...first time I've used it since I got my G25... and lo...yonder bar moves with auto clutch!!! It also moves with button clutch and with pedal clutch....so...my theory is that if no bar movement is seen, must be a macro! (especially when somebody gains THAT much time with gearchanging!)
Just been watching some guys on CTRA...both "might" have been using a macro...flat-shifting throughout the laps at SO3R...and the clutches weren't even getting warm...they were getting a good 0.5 - 0.7 secs a lap advantage over my full manual clutch and shifter (G25 FTW)
The sooner there are servers and hotlap charts to differentiate between arcade racers and sim racers...the better for everybody.
STOP IT!!! You are making me want to go up in the loft and get my Scalextric out, build a track, then nick EmmyLou's Lego to make grandstands and pit-boxes and shops and stuff...or walls to crash my cars through....AGAIN! .
or a full scale model of Monaco.....hold on, now THATS an idea...
Note to self...take time checking file attributes... resolution was 72 dpi...size was 1024...although I dont know how it got downsized from 2048.
These skins have ALWAYS shown clearly before, its only since they started using dds files that it has changed...
Just checked the skins folder, and the *.dds file seems VERY small...checked the other folder with the jpg's in it, and OMGWTFBBQ!!! Bloody pic is 72*72!!! How the hell did THAT happen..I never converted it!
now gonna have to hunt around the archives for the original hi-rez file and see if that makes any difference
DONT do that Dajmin..you never know, his invention _MIGHT_ be able to be converted to work on a microphone stand...then you will never have to worry about one falling over during a gig!!
Got another weird jaggy problem...as you can see from the screenie, it seems that JUST the logo on the bonnet is jaggy... on the skin file it is nice and sharp, and I cant make it any better by playing with the settings..I can make it a LOT worse, but how can I get it to show nice and sharp like its SUPPOSED to be??
Drivers: Latest nVidia (but any give the same problem)
Rez: 1650*1080*32
Last time I looked, mercury was bloody expensive, so for the quantities Lerts would need to produce his first 20 umbrellas, he could buy a dozen G25's anyway.
My tip, forget liquid and go for the mechanical option..have a large circular object placed around the shaft of the umbrella (like a bicycle wheel for example, and then have it powered by a small electric motor...Gryoscopic Torque Reaction would do the rest!
If tha still proves to costly/complicated to produce, then just cut off a cats paw and stick that to the handle..that will ensure that the handle always stays pointing downwards. Another option would be to stick a slice of toast (butter side down) onto the handle...that would also keep it vertical.
Casablanca isnt "good", its the pinnacle of screen entertainment! How do you think it can make the iMDB "top ten" after 65 years???
It is a true all time classic, bloody fantastic film, but then, I'm afraid it relies more on a good director, good actors, and a good story rather than sooper-dooper CGI.
Another classic movie that shows good acting and great direction with a very good story (and also a bit of CGI :P) is none other than...
I dont know the roads of Plymouth very well, but if Plymouth City Council has anything in common with Oxford, then you may very well find out that buses DO "own the road!"
Example...I had an "altercation" with a motorist in Queen Street last week...he accused me of carving him up and not letting him through - which would have meant me going on the pavement to do so, by the way - when a nice friendly plod came up and politely informed the gentleman concerned that he was:
a) In a Pedestrian Zone that was limited to pedestrians, cyclists, and buses.
b) That he just happened to be going the wrong way in a One Way Street,
and
c) That he was nicked
sorry to upset you, but all that statistic says is that approximately 144000 people who use iMDB think its good...
Personally although I enjoyed it, the film has a VERY long way to go to catch Casablanca or Gone With the Wind.
A good 30% of all the computers that I am asked to fix have been got at by malware "anti-malware" proggies...
As long as there are n00bs around, these companies will continue to profit from them....and so will I...cleaning up their hard drives
