Quote from JPeace :
if i tried to get into germany or france like they did, id be kicked out and arrested and deported immidiatly, and those countries don't even have a problem with the amount of people and space they have.

So how did you get this insight into immigration politics of other european nations?
But you are right that england is europes number one immigration destination. That might be caused by the british empire ruling over and exploiting a huge part of the globe. Most immigrants you have are from ex colonies after all.

F**King government.... Just like saving that pregnant junkie immigrant that was caught trafficing abroad... Killing her would have been best but the government thought saving a junkie dealing trifficer was better for the country?....

Pisses me off that the government cares for all these foreigners on the dole but dont give a shit about people that has paid taxes all their lives....

And to think your grandpa most likely fought the nazis... He's propably rotating in his grave right now!

Quote from jasonmatthews :Fact is Dean, the search function sucks ballz big time, not once in the hundreds of times I have tried have I ever found anything I am looking for....

Well, as with many computer related things, the search function is as good as the person using it. For me, it's very rare NOT to find what I'm looking for.

I highly doubt that growing meat in a lab can be done as cheaply and in as big numbers to nake it accessible to the starvging masses.

Also, I doubt it will reduce greenhouse gases, as I do think it's a very energy, thus ressource consuming process. A gram of meat still needs the same energy and materials to be produced in a lab as it would to grow on an animal.

From the moralic standpoint though, I do support that idea.

It does somehow remind me of "I don't feel like dancing" by the Scissor Sisters

I once met (or rather had eye contact and shook hands with) the Dalai Lama, when he was visiting Graz back in 02.
Not that it made me religious, but man that guy has charisma. The way he smiles at you really lifts up your spirits.

Tristan, your logic is sadly a tad faulted by statistics.
In germany, 08 was the year with the least fatalities since the fifties. And it was the first time ever there were less than 1 person dead per 10.000 cars in traffic.
Since the 70ies, the death toll on roads is sinking constantly, despite the streets getting more and more crowded.
Part of that phonomenon is that *gasp* making cars safer actually makes them safer! Who would've thought?

EDIT: I still do think that most bulbous pedestrian safety cars look horrible.

According to my phone's music recognition app, the song's "naked" by Wendel Kos featuring N.J.

Couldn't find lyrics for it though.

Quote from DevilDare :Watched Enemy at the gates last night.

Still a great great piece. Definately a must see if you like WW2 movies.

ohhhhh no. That movie is so bad on so many levels. If you want a good WW2 eastern front movie, watch Stalingrad.

On topic: I just watch Firefly. It's awesome.

In how has a long straight track anything to do with variety?

There is already a dragstrip.

And I don't see the fun in driving in a straight line for miles long, so why bother? Honestly, the first 15 seconds would be a tad fun because you'd have to shift, but after that it's just depressing a pedal...

it's quite easy actually, at least in concept. There is a hub, it's just nearly as big as the wheel and made hollow, so you can see through. The wheel itself is basically just a narrow rim beneath the rubber tyre.

The wheels (a rim is slightly different) in the latest version of the LfS Viewer, 0.6A, look like in the attachment.
Thus I do think that r3zp3k7 uses a crack.

Quote from wheel4hummer :I wasn't talking about being in a bikini. I was talking about being naked!

Well, it's about the same as being naked anywhere else. Just be careful where you sit though, because sand might get to places where you'd rather not have it.

Speaking of it: I think nudity is overrated. Not as in "I could live without nudity", but as in "omg seeing nipples/dongs/pubic hair/whatever is SOOOOOO offensive!"
Honestly, beneath their clothes, everyone is nude. So what's the big fuzz about it?

Well, considering that every CoD game since Part 2 was shit, I guess I'll skip that one. Especially because of the "screw gamers" 60 € pricetag. I fear that this will start a trend which makes gaming even a more expensive hobby, as I think that it will still be a hit.

Quote from mookie427 :He is trying to defame what you said because speed1 is just another one of the typical white middle class liberals who tell people what they should be offended by and don't dare criticise Islam because it might be seen as 'racist' or 'Islamophobic' (which isn't even a real word), and assume that all Muslims are the 'moderate' type who wouldn't dare go around blowing things up or shooting loads of people for the sake of their twisted religious views.

Instead of arguing about the motives and causes and whatnot, we need to stop and think long and hard about why certain sections of society believe it right to maim and kill as many people as possible in the name of some twisted version of their religion....

It has nothing to do with "not trying to offend anyone". It's rather about trying not to generalise a people or a relgious group by a few fundamentalists. And "a few" is actually quite an exaggeration, as there are about 1 and a half billion muslims out there, yet I doubt that there are more than a few thousand extremist terrorists.

Well, demanding that islamic extremists should stop acting like islamic extremists, despite being actually quite a good whish, is the same as asking soldiers not to go to war. You basically have them stop the very thing that defines their role.

Concernig the text snippets: well, it seems he was a religious nutcase after all. But those ain't limited to islam, there are plenty of christians too who think the king james bible is the actual infallible word of god...
But I doubt he was member of an islamic extremist group, or that this thing was planned on the long run. Just an "ordinary" amok run, where the attacker coincidentally was a muslim.

And about religion: it's my firm belief (harharhar) that the world would be a much better place to live in if we would omit that concept alltogether.

Ah, the joy of selective recipation...

Quote :He said officials had not confirmed that Hasan made the comment.

Quote :Investigators had not determined for certain whether Hasan was the author of the posting, and a formal investigation had not been opened before the shooting

Would you enlighten us how exactly muslims should act to stop enforcing a stereotype?
That makes about as much sense as demanding that americans should stop enforcing the stereotype of being dumb, overweight and little informed if not wholly ignorant of the world outside of the USA's borders...

On Topic: tragic, like every time someone runs amok. I perosnally don't think that a muslim saying "allahu ackbar" indicates extremesim, as it's about as common as "amen", "halleluja" or "jesus" in christianity. And you would call someone a chrisitian fundamentalist if he uttered those words in a situation of great emotional stress, which running amok no doubtedly is.
