@TA1LGATER you might consider not using a cheat... that helps connecting to online servers.
However, did anyone notice some glitches yesterday evening? between 9:30 and 10:00 German time (8:30 to 9:00pm in UK) I had great problems connecting to one of our servers and also this forum, LFSW and our team forum were not reachable or very slow.
Sometimes I was able to connect to our server, but lost connection quite soon and I very often got a "connecting to masterserver" that timed out....
Since my team mates and all other racers on our server got disconnected at the same time, I don´t think that there only was a problem with my internet connection. German websites worked very well and fast - only (some) UK based sites and the LFS servers hosted at 500servers seemed to have problems.
You have to know, that Franky500 only hosts the files EQWorry gives him and he is not responsible if Airio works or not. We are running 10 Servers now on 4 different IPs and Airio works fine here.
EQWorry and Franky500 are different persons and they are not working for the same company at all...
So sorry to say, but I believe there might be a mistake in your Airio setup.
I would suggest to backup you Airio configuration via FTP and then ask Franky500 to reinstall Airio to default values. Then you only have to edit the Airio.con1.txt file to enter your IP, port and admin pass. Then Airio should work.
Then you can start uploading your old config files one by one to revert your original setup and stats and ban files.
all our 8 servers and Airio are listed as "unknown" in CP.
Also I am not able to download any Airo config file to change any settings. "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."... (I don´t trust the CP´s Editor yet - so I prefer downloading, editing and uploading)
What about the new Airio 1.51 version? It´s still not available at our CP... Would be nice to be able to install it.
Also my netKar Server seems not to start up. - It´s not listed in the server list although the CP shows it as running. - Support ticked risen yesterday - but not answered yet...
Hmm... the servers on the 208 box seem still to have problems... all appeard as running in CP but one was offline, I wasn´t able to connect to an other one... So I just restarted all 4 servers.
Now I can join 3 of them and one seems to be OK in CP but it is offline...
Well I decided not to post here, because as I recognized that some servers and websites were down, I already saw enough posts about that issue here.
And - as usual - things got sorted as soon as possible.
Best wishes for your father and you from our whole team!
Next time I suggest to sort out your more important private things first that heading to the first computer you can get a hand on to sort out your business things...
Great point! But S0 should be for free! Only thing Demo racers have to do is to drive good lap times in that testing period and there should be a maximum of allowed bans.
So Demo racers (hopefully) will become good and fair drivers.
Also unused demo accounts should be deleted after a period of not being online. So Victor can tidy up his database.
Hmm... I am using a paid key since we started with Airio and it is not used in any other insim. Also my account still is balanced with around 15 GBP... So, that´s not the problem I guess..
I also set IdentPay=true...
Is it possible to mix paid and unpaid keys in PROS?
It really is strange: Let´s say we are having 15 guests on the server. If I type !ex I only get a few listed with a LFSE index...
Perhaps there is a problem at 500Servers - as you know Dean set up all servers from scratch again... perhaps there is a port closed that is used for a decent communication...
Does anybody else have problems receiving the LFSE index values for some players?
Our server normally is locked to an at least 100 LFSE index to be able to drive the XRG on demo. However there are some players that are not able to drive the XRG because Airio fails receiving their LFSE index...
Ok, I changed the way of storing the stats files to TAB separated some days ago. So Airio would use the last known LFSE index...
But if there is a new player or a player that last time visited us some weeks ago, he won´t be able to drive the XRG in that case.
Perhaps there really is a problem with capitalized characters... As you remember I had problems with the track rotation to BL1R (changed to BL1 instead) - when using bl1r it worked as suggested...
