Nice Video! Realy! But I would like to see the same race with the actual version of LFS

And as a present I would burn it on a DVD and send it to Scawen...

Ok... every game is supposed to get better and better (and nicer and nicer)...

But I do not want a S3 I cannot play with a normal/low end PC!

I play S2 with 66-67 FPS at 1280*1024 and I am happy with that.

My Hardware is a Athlon 64 3200+ (754 Socket), 1,5GB RAM, 7600GT (256MB).

rFactor for example I can only play when I reduce a lot of Details, resolution and AntiAleasing. MS Flightsim X is not realy playable on my machine (if you want to take advandage of the good graphics)...

Lower FPS causes lower Laptimes! And I do not want to buy new Hardware to play S3 in a good level.

OK, My best Splits are displayed on the left and my current split is displayed on the right...

I recently have done a 23:45 on BL1, FOX in Sector 1 while Relax was running.

But a few Days later it shows me a 23:78 as -00:23 better... That is what I mean... but after installing 1.51 this problem has not been acured again...

I am racing S2 and I do not change my nick... I will take a lock on it... perhaps I am mad

Another suggestion for the improvement:

- I would like to show my ever best split only but not my current, because this one is shown by LFS too... so there could be an option in the cfg file to choose what it should show.

- for racer who already had good Times and start using Relax now or have a hero and know its splits I would like to have a short manuel how to edit the pb.txt (which entrys are storing what)

- perhaps it is possible to choose 3 sizes for the split displaying: large, middle, smal (the same size as a server message)


P.S. The theoretical PB could be shown unter or above the splits - selectable perhabps

Works very fine, but I would like to have the option to save my best splits to try to improve them in one of the next races...

In my opinion LFSRelax forgets the best splits (for each car and each track) every Day...

And I would like them to be stored as Lapper does it. But I race at several Servers and have different Splits stored there. So I would like too need Relax to control my splits...

A calculated theoretical PB would be nice too...


Perhaps you can put these suggestions on your To-Do List...

Well I stupidly have overwritten the original files...

But I entered my original Player Name in the cfg.txt and changed some steering settings... thats it... Now it works...

I have found the file /data/misc/name.ply of my original Profile...

Also LFS shows this profile in the Player-Menue... But it can still not be loaded... why???

I just updatet some Textures in the dds and pic folder.

When I now start LFS again I had to create a new player... The name of me was shown but when I click on it LFS says that it could not be loaded...

What to do now? Are now all my Points, PBs, Splits on Servers away?

Perhaps I can recover my Player - File... but which one is it? Where to find it?

But I have to add that I sometimes play rFactor too for the Nordschleife...

So the wheel should be perfct for this game too. Is the DFP perfect for rFactor too?

And how many buttons are usable on the DFP, when uing the paddles for shifting (my microsoft has 6 +2 for shifting - but there could be more)

Hello!

Until now I am using a Microsoft FFB USB wheel and I love it!

But now the rubber begins to get loose so I decided to buy a new wheel.

Which wheel should it be?

1.) G25 (for this one I have to save money for several month...)
2.) DFP which is rather cheap now...

Well I think I do not need 900 degrees because in LFS I only use 180 for my setup and driving style - I do not like to turn the wheel more than 90 degrees to one direction.

And I love shifting with the Paddles and always having two hands on the wheel. So I think the DFP is not for me because it has no shifting Paddles right?...

But how is it with the G25? Can I use it with LFS without using the clutch pedal (I am a left - braker)? Is there enough space for big feet? How about driving H-shifters and sequenzial shifters? Is it easy to switch between the controll - profiles?

Or should I look at e-bay for a Good Microsoft wheel again?

Well, using Crossover 6.2 beta2 LFS runs!

The Speed is playable, but it has sound problems and a wheel will not work I think...

Crossover is a 30 Day Trial Version...

Sounds good for 6.2 final or later!

Just download the x - Demo of LFS and try it!

I want to let the AI practice a while, but they still have 8% of fuel on board... how can i change it?

I just updated to U30 and I noticed, that the AI went stupid....

I very often practice overtaking offline. I setup a 5Lap race in Blackwood with a mixture of FXR, XBR and FZR. The Dificulty is AS and I start from the last Position. (AI using Players Setup is ON)

Before U30 the AI had Times about 1:12x and I am driving about 1:09x so when I start slow I have enough time to practice overtaking... But after installing U30 the fastes AI hast a 1:15x and the slowest has a 1:35:XX !! And the AI alway have bad crashes... So after the first Lap I have overtaken all AI-Cars because they are having accidents all the time...

Did you change anything on the AI behaviour?

On the older Patches it came to me that the AI is "learning" and is getting better after some races... but I did about 15 races with U30 but the AI is as bad as the firtst race...
