What preferece do the folder skins and skins_dds have? I mean if I downloaded a skin in 512x512 somewhere and now a guy is racing THIS skin in 1024x1024... Which skin is loaded?

Should I delete all Skins in these folders which are having 512x512 and I do not use for myself?

I just filled my lfsworld credits to get highres skins.

But how does it work? Are highres skins now downloaded automatically, or do I have to change something in my LFS settings?

What should I do with all the lowres skins in the skin-x folder? Do they become overwritten by highres skins automatically now, or should I delete all the lowres skins in the skin-x folder?

Well I don´t like connecting to a host via brose for speed or lfsworld.

So I would like to have the option to store some favourite Hosts as a bookmark to easily access them.

Also it would be nice to have access to your buddies you added in LFSworld. So you could connect to the host they are racing on without using lfsworld...

I don´t know if it is said already...

But the possibility to ban someone by IP address or to ban a IP range or subnet range might be helpful too.

Especially on demo servers there are guys having hundrets "licences" to prevent becomming banned.

I am dreaming since moth of driving with a multiple display setup.

But I am wondering if I really need a tripple Head 2go...

At the moment I am using a 9600GT with 2 heads and 2 displays. But my Gigabyte P35-DS3P has 2 PCIe and I still have a 7600GT PCIe display card in an old computer...

So I would like to know if it is possible to connect 2 displays to the 9600GT and 2 Displays to the 7600GT at once and to configure the NVidia preferences in that way that I have one "big" display like a tripple Head 2 go on one additional display for VirtualDashboard or whatever.

On the other hand I like playing my Flight Sim with my 2 current displays, but LFS if not playable for me over 2 displays, because of the border of the displays in the middle... So is it possible do create a profile for both setups which stores my Desktop arrangement?

Well in my opinion this is a USB Video Card with quite low performance I guess...

But theoretically you should be able to connect as much Displays as you want like this - each Display one Diamond USB Video Card.

Then the setup should work like the tripple head...

Ok, Leo´s Adapter just arrived yesterday.

But to be honest I have no experience how to calibrate the pedals properly

I don´t mean that I don´t know how to use the calibration in game control settings or the little program "Calibration-DFP-G25.exe" I downloaded form Leo´s website. I am also able to calibrate my axis in LFS.

What I mean are the values you are using now!

Perhaps someone who really got faster using these mods and also managed to brake much later could post his settings... I mean which values he uses in the "Calibration-DFP-G25.exe" program and how much brake power he added to his normal setup to fit these mods...

e.g. I am now running these settings:

Gas Pedal: 72/945
Brake Pedal: 59/718
Clutch Pedal: 18/898

In LFS I added 900nm to my normal setup for the FXR at AS3.

But I did not realize that I was able to brake later than normal - better I have to brake a bit earlier... But I managed to increase my PB for 0:00:02 But this was BEFORE I got Leo´s adapter...

Most laps I am about half sec above my PB and I always really have to take care not to lock my wheels...

Hmm... does anyone have experience how long Leo´s Adapter should take to be delivered?

At Monday I got an email that it has been shipped and it did not reach me yet

You want to build a seat and simulation area, don´t you? So a G25 would be the least to get!

Here the G25 is at about 179EUR - new!!! And it is worth every pence!

Could anyone tell me what exactly to change in the settings when using the Nixim rubber?

I just installed it without any problems, but I must really say it feels awful! Now I only have a few milimeters of pedal way and I really have to jump on the pedal to use the whole pedal way

So I re-calibrated the wheel again in LFS settings and increased the brake power in my setup extremely (e.g. 1000nm more at my FXR set).

Now I am able to drive, but there is no way braking much later and I am only thinking about using enough force in my leg at the next brake point instead of the good, real progressive feeling which was promised

I am not able to adjust my braking just before locking the tires - it really feels like a digital on/off.

I really guess that my settings are complete wrong!

So a hint how to set the pedals up perfectly would be great!

Does the rubber become a bit softer after thousands of brakings? As I said I only can push the pedal down to the floor with the power of hulk In my real car I can easily adjust the brake power with much less power in my leg!

I have LFS installed on an other partition. I either boot XP or Vista and was able to the same LFS installation with both systems to have the same settings etc.

Now I got a new G25 and it was the first time I played LFS under Vista. After installing the wheel I had to unlock LFS.

Then I discovered some problems with the FFB under Vista and started LFS under XP (the 1st time with the G25) - and I had to unlock again...

Does a new wheel require a unlock of LFS or was this requirement due to the Vista/XP combination?

But there still is the problem with sometimes no ffb when playing in full screen mode... In windowde mode I have no problems...

Any clues? Do I perhaps need to run LFS or the profiler as Admin?

I had simular problems with my old DFP and profiler 5.02 too under Vista32 - but the FFB still worked. Only the macro did not work sometimes.

I use the profiler to use an makro on the shifter for F9->F10->F11->F12->F12.

Under XP there is no problem, but under Vista Ultimate 32 now this Makro sometimes does not work. Sometimes it works again if I activate a "fake" Profile in the Profiler, jump back to LFS and the re-activate the LFS profile again.

But sometimes when changing back to LFS I have neither FFB nor a working profiler...

Does anybody know how to fix it?

My specs:

Vista 32 Ultimate
Logitech Profiler 5.04

btw: I have this problem either with my old DFP or with my new G25...

But playing LFS in windoed mode fixes this problem, but windoed mode on an onls 19´´ ??? - NO!!
