No. The string I use is exactly the same I posted above.
Hmm... that´s exactly the way Airio stores such characters itself in the stats files... and I am not sure how to type Japanese Characters in unicode tbh... If I copy/paste them from a unicode website e.g. I only get two squares in PSPad...
This works. But if I change "bl1r" to "BL1R", Airio changes to BL1 instead of BL1R...
An other strange thing I discovered is an Asian codepage issue again...
<?php ButtnMotd=|^7Welcome, {NickName} to ^J^1ÉÏ^0edline ^J^1ÉÏ^0acing ?>
Here the word Redline is written as ÉÏedline... all other "R" are correct in the following lines - but this only happens if a team member (or probably someone else) connects who has Asian characters in NickName too. But I am sure that it worked fine once...
As written in my last post: just add the config line I quoted to your Airio.srv.txt and then you can bring the meaning of these shortcuts in to your mind by typing the command !act - this command only works for Limad2 and above.
You also just could type the command !pl (or !players) to have these buttons for the current connected players.
You can even have a look at the recently left players with the command !recent.
I am not sure if these commands only work with the FULL version... if so - sorry then...
EDIT: just try out the different penalty commands behind the ACT button with a team mate to get used for them it is a bit confusing... but I have this in my Airio config - I hope it helps you... just add it into your Airio.srv.txt, save and type !rld to reload the config then typr the command !act:
EDIT2: For the case you would like to add some track marshals with limited rights (Limad) for your server too, it would be quite handy to alter my code above to show the most important command the Limad has - I have created a bunch of new commands to give them more rights (banning more than 12hrs, changing track car, mustpit etc.) - without giving them them the full rights
no, I can´t define any further parameters... but I think the script.php runs to slow because my mySQL database is on another server and I also had to enable the memory and time switch in the config.php to 256MB to be able to run the scrip.
So I guess the script itself works but too slow for Airio to get a positive feedback...
Ok... I finally got it working as I wanted it to work.
But there is one thing I cannot solve yet:
Every time the script.php should be activated by Airio I am getting an entry in the Airio log that the script timed out...
I am not sure if the script is executed correctly though, because I changed it a bit to filter just some cars - not all cars available in the stats files. So I would have to wait until someone drives a new PB...
Any clue why I am getting a time out error? If I activate the script manually it works perfectly...
No, only Airio is running in this folder and it serves 8 servers at once. Well ok, we have more than one server running BL1 but that has not been a problem in the past.
EDIT: Ok... I have just restarted Airio manually... perhaps it got messed up after the automatic restart with the yesterday´s 500Servers troubles...
I have got this error quite often (every 10 minutes) in my log? What does that mean and how can I solve it?
I also have Airio Warnings with a timed out timed php script... What does that mean? The script works as it should and the path to the script I have entered is correct. Is this just a warning, but the script itself runs as it should?
sorry, no does not work Airio does not even start up...
Would be nice if you could copy back version 2.3.4b FULL from the Backup folder (I guess Airio.exe and Airio.pdb should do the trick - the libs should be the same)....
If you also could manage to add some sounds - with an option to turn it on/off - telling you that a car is just next to you (like the ancient "pit spotter")...
This might go offtopic now - but I also would suggest to disallow "unnamed" by LFS itself. I would say to automatically use the license name if no player name has been entered.
It is not easy to handle several "unnamed" players at one server as a admin - that´s why we did not disable this function in Airio.
On the other hand I recognized that ppl seem not to like reading - so even with an explanation they won´t recognize what they did wrong.
