@Bob Smith: I downloaded and gave a glance to the app. You've done an astonishing job! I feel uneducated and kind of scared of the immense stuff in the program.

I liked that it worked well for me on a desktop with large fonts (120dpi). But unfortunately, all the window didn't fit in my 1152*864 screen. Part of the window on the right was just chopped.

With 32 drivers LFSCAR will make sense. Still I've seen few of them at oval junkies.

Racing at oval is interesting, until there are FM guys on the track. Also we need to be able to set FXR to less downforce, for it to spin stupidly at any slight touch

Seriously speaking, to enjoy oval we need
(0) many racers
(1) cautions to draw everyone together again
(2) better draft physics. It seems to me that currently in LFS there is a slip-stream coridor beyond each separate car only for 0.2 sec, but there is no effect of wind beyond a big group of cars.

make an InSim application to record if someone has exceeded like 100g acceleration in 0.01s or 15g in 1 second on average, ...and to ban those racers for a day or two, since they are considered dead.

Had a lot of fun trying to pass as fast as possible that jump into pits. It is not easy to avoid crashing into the building on the left

I think, it's better to put some green circles (control points) into the track instead of restricting the way with barriers.

Quote from Scawen :OK, i see the difference now

OK, I think it's better to have it as a pdf. Detail, please could you convert it to a pdf?

Not a problem, here it is.

No. STCC is a nice league, I mostly race at STCC hosts, but its rating is not a measurement of a racer's quality. It is a measurement of <number of races>/<average finish position in % to number of racers>. STCC does its good job by isolating wreckers, drivers with no patience and those who drive very badly. Making it "compulsory" to everybody will make slow racers and wreckers part of STCC.

So, here is Keys_Belarussian.pdf formatted like my original file.

The 2nd one is for Deem0n, if he would work on this later.

Scawen, in the latest patch credits, Dmitri's name is spelt incorrectly. You've written

Дзмiтрый Хамiчзнка
while instead of the bold letters you should use another one, э.

Can't wait till patch X. Yet I've seen more than 22 cars only at the [god blessed] oval track.

Quote from Worm :I wonder why on patch W10, in a monotype server (for example only FXO available) its not posible to have no handicap? If its posible in Hotlap, why its not possible online? Eventualy, why the admin server is not allowed to set himself the handicap for the cars? I think its strange to have a wr than u cant beat online and only on HL.

Handicaps imposed by master server are temporary, will be kept only until class are balanced.
Why roofs of UF/LX do not affect weight/aero?

I've seen for a long time, since about patch P, that UF and LX roofs no more affect physics. UF roof no more adds weight and no more improves aero. I think this must have been explained, but I don't know where to search. What was the reason? Actually, I've asked Scawen online at balancetesting, but I couldn't comprehend the response.

I'm late to see this. Anyway,

I think DP1 would result the same way as RA, which is the least used car in LFS along with LXs. Even though RA and LX are quite interesting, they are hard to drive, and people choose more usual and controllable cars. In the top of usage statistics is the Formula XR, with its excelent handling.

DP1 is unquestionably overpowered. BF1 has 1,3hp/kg, FO8 has 7,6hp/kg, RA has "just" 3,1hp/kg but no downforce. DP1, with aero much weaker than that of single-seaters, will be between FO8 and BF1. I'm sure, most people won't be enthusiastic of racing it.

Of course, the car in nice, and everyone, including me, are interested in trying it, as well as any other new model and researching its behaviour. The question is if people will be racing in it frequently.

I see many other important things to do. As for vehicles, these are karts, rally cars, Le Mans prototypes and motorbikes.

Scawen, a request from a Russian host admin: in connections list, please, make kick/ban buttons visible for admins even when /vote=no. Also in demo ban by IP is necessary.

@ Don & Frankmd: ok. IMO, anyway this should be a an option with force-spec as default.

On false-start, is it possible to replace force-spec with just a dq? Dissapearing cars in championships would be not a good sight.

What about removing a class-balancing handicap if the car is the only allowed on a host?

I'm getting tired of antidrift posts. And a small drift track with many loops - like AU1, but with oval-shaped kerbs and grass inside them (instead of barriers or cones) - will be very useful. Drift is another side of racing. When you go skating, do you always run at max possible speed?
Two screens in Vista: no mouse-clipping

A question from the Russian LFS forum:
-----------------------------------------------
I have connected to my PC a monitor and a TV set (via DVI). The tv set works as desktop extension, and in WV, mouse can go between the screens. When I run a game in full-screeen mode, mouse locks within the main screen and doesn't leave it.

The problem. In WinXP, everything was ok with LFS in fullscreen mode, and mouse locked in it.

In WV, LFS doesn't clip mouse within the main screen, and the cursor can cross to the second one. So, if I occasionally move cursor beyond the main screen and click, LFS minimises. I drive with mouse, and when I click there in the second screen, the game minimizes, and it has the same result as Alt+Tab, no need to explain.

Additional info:
In WinXP there was no such problem.
In WV it is only with LFS, not with other games.
It can be cured by turning off the second monitor in the driver. Videocard is Radeon x1950xtx. I used all the drivers' versions available, including those pre-installed in Vista.

I'd like someone who knows English to let the devs know about this.

P.S. Please, do not advise me to revert to WinXP/2K/9x.

I don't see any connection of drift and plain clothes/no helm model. I both drift and use them, but what's the problem? Why get annoyed about other's appearance?

World police is good. Note: thanks to Iraq war, Libya decided to become a harmless nice sheep, at least in the international affairs, because Kaddafi isn't that stupid to mess with Americans. The UN never had such efficiency, for instance I don't remember a local conflict that UN would manage to resolve.

Looks like intentional and well-made spin. Deserved a drive-through, even though I'm his fan.
