If scawen would prefer to implement the functionality into LFS itself or the master server, fine by me. But since Insim V4 is currently under development and Scawen told us that this is the time to make packet requests I figured latency information was a feasible request. In my opinion it would be a great addition to Insim.
Then we could approach the issue as we see fit. Blatantly kicking HPWs would obviously be one solution. Though, a notification to a present admin would be another, perhaps more humane way of dealing with it. It would help the admin to find the person who is causing the lag and perhaps ask him to double check his background applications. For example.
If your car is warping, dis- and reappering, appears to be sliding but it is not I would not like to race you on any server. Though I have raced you without any such issues, Dygear. Maybe 110ms is enough for a smooth gameplay? I dont know yet. But such an addition to the MCI packet would certainly help me find out.
Currently, finding out who is lagging might be a difficult task, it takes time to find the person in question and you might even be mislead by his effect on others. I am sure programmers and host admins could put their heads together and come up with a sensible approach. I chose the word "deal with" for a reason, you know.

Reason : grammar .. probably still wrong though :)
I think using this forum for general chatter is a bad idea. Especially if you're going to do it in swedish.
May I suggest using http://www.liveforspeed.se? Established teams may request their own public+private forum.
Probably not the best way to approach the issue. But I'd like to see ping/latency info in the MCI packet. It would make it possible for us to deal with players with very high latency.
No, and as far as I know all the dE prize information (including shipping updates etc, there was a discussion going on for a few months) has been wiped.
With the recent test patches (and the upcoming patch X) dealing with lag has become a bigger issue. We all know how one single person can mess up an entire server. We need some way of getting rid of those with high ping, for example:
LFS could sort it out by itself (autokick if ping => x ms)
Insim packet with ping information for insim programmers to deal with.
Disallow the HPW to join the server in the first place (blocked by Master Server)
My first time in a full grid. You really must adjust your driving style when racing such a crowd. The pace through the trickier parts was amazingly slow during the first laps.
I made quite a number of mistakes myself. Im sorry about that.
Thanks to Vari, Da Hoe, Mr nice guy Shittie and anyone else who is involved. Good job!
Yes there is some sort of test button on the replay menu. It will however put you in the driver seat of the car in the replay, with the same setup, fuel load, (driver aids?) etc. You will not be able to race a shadow of the original car which you may by using the ghost car mod by the K-man.
