Must be around 3-4 hours non-stop. That's rare though. I rarely play for long, i race for 20-30 minutes then do something else and an hour later I am back playing for another 20-30 minutes, repeat.
So in total I sometimes play a lot, but rarely in one long go.
Something is wrong with that. It's a 10/10Mbps connection and I can download at 1MB/s in reality. But it's still crap because I have 1GB/24h limits, which is why I also have a ADSL connection.
This is really an improvement suggestion not a bug.
Anyway, I agree it should be removed. Altough it's sometimes usefull when people don't seem to realize they should press ready and you can remove them so the race can start.
If you are starting from scratch (ie. no wheel) your best bet is to buy the G25. You don't get the whole wheel-shifter-3 pedals combo much cheaper than that.
Building them yourself is a lot cheaper though. All you need for a clutch pedal is another cheap wheel and you can use one of the extra pedals as a clutch. For a shifter you need some DIY skills and a cheap gamepad or a FFB joystick.
Look here for guides to building H-shifters, Joystick shifters, pedals etc.. http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=186
Well a car has a lot of moving physics objects. Also every individual ramp component has it's own physics too I guess. So 4 cars going over a ramp does need a lot of physics calculations. The total amount cars/objects doesn't matter that much because LFS only calculates physics only for the nearest cars. Anyway even if a car looks like going through a ramp from your point of view the player still sees his own car going over the ramp and position packets will sync the cars later. It's only a visual thing mostly, except when you are very near to each other where a missed physics calc may have some nasty side effects.
You need to calm down. This is what the server name stealer person was trying to do, annoy people and get attention and seems like he has been succesful in doing that. Just act calmly and maturely now. Put a notice on your website that the server 4 is not run by you and don't give this guy any more attention and the problem will eventually sort itself out.
The Thanks button is too low res, it doesn't look clean as the other buttons.
And what Blackout said. Maybe include the "thank yous" in the post's header or in footer.
Altough I think this thing adds more clutter than it does good.
