hi mum! :wave2:

FO8s are great fun, not sure that theyre all that well suited to Blackwood tho... more of an Aston car imo.

Quote from Turbo Dad :undertaking during baking.

hehe

Some pretty dodgy attitudes, some craptacular driving. I reckon seasoned sim-racers have a real edge when it comes to track days/racing; a much better idea what the car's gonna do when pushed hard or too far.

Jakg, I have the same problem.

There's an RSC thread about it somewhere, couldn't find it tho. Try the centre-fix, doesn't seem to work for everyone tho.

Do us a favour, Jugs - hold off just long enough for me to see that!

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :i hate starting at the front, its just boring.

I disagree. If there's someone putting the pressure on, I find it anything but boring... test of cajones and all that.

(lapping by yourself is a bit shit, regardless of where you sit in the field.)

Quote from Gunn :I'm satisfied if I have raced to the best of my abililty, win or lose. I don't mind not placing well, as long as I drove well, it's all good.

Much the same here... tho, tbh... I really enjoy being a fraction faster than someone, and hassling the absolute shit out of them, forcing a mistake

tough situation... I'm guilty of shift-s'ing out of awkward spots if there's a stream of traffic coming thru, but I can understand why it's considered 'wrong'. Perhaps moving wasn't great, but I reckon I would have tried to scramble off the racing line too.

The only thing I think you did wrong was to listen to someone hurling abuse - try the '-' key... that shuts 'em up

Quote from mrodgers :FYI, I have noticed due to internet lag, if you give a friendly two horn toot to someone, it sounds like a single angry blast of the horn. I use to do this as well until someone did it to me and all I heard was a single blaring blast.

Then again, I'm on dialup, so I may have some lag myself causing it.

I've noticed that in replays too, ADSL here. So now, either I make two very slow and deliberate beeps, or just a smiley. Not always tho, spam sucks, and I crash lots if I reach for the keyboard  You can thank them in other ways tho

I've yet to meet a 17 year old Thai Lady-boy with 'no skills'

from what I've played of the ISI sims (GTR/GTL, a little of each), you have to use different techniques to feel for grip. In LFS, I think I use sound mostly, but I don't think sound is as effective in an ISI sim... at least to me.

Nice idea with your league, GL

I use a momo black, and lately, it has been losing centre if I counter-steer quickly; this problem seems limited to LFS, and I'm not the only one who experiences it Anyhow, I feel this has made my driving smoother, in that I really have to anticipate a slide - I really can't afford any mistakes under brakes.
I've often thought, as far as quick countersteering goes, jopystick/gamepad has an advantage over wheels. Of course, an FFB wheel also has an advantage, in that it helps you feel when the slide will begin... well, theoretically

Blah blah, i think if you wanna get serious, get the g25... I'm gonna :cyclops:

I raced GPL as C.Anderson, but, besides a little organized racing, never had much need in LFS. I agree tho, it does look nice and not as... 'gamey'.

Perhaps they are, but even so, I think it's nice to have a (heavily) adminned server running a predictable combo. Of course, if I get banned I might feel differently...

BLGP in the FOX is fun when you're feeling a little funky, to hell with the 'let's try something new' brigade I'll do that when I'm sobre

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :Sure I should read your rules, and I did when I first joined the server. Sure I should be all well behaved and not question whats going on when my personal conduct was well within the rules.

How do you know if you don't even read the rules?

I think maybe you should spend more time reading and less time posting.

Finlay, I can see your point - it sucks being a regular yet being treated with little or no respect. But like has been said repeatedly, it's their server, their rules... ultimately, we're in their house

I for one love a server where foul/offensive language = auto-ban, tho I'd like to see them spend more time pulling up T1 crashers.

Thanks Redline Racing, I have a ball on your server most nights
