Bah, get rid of wings and T/C and F1 is fixed imo (said as a non-fan with few clues about the sport ) As for the jumping out of planes thing, I did it once... never again :vomit:
Much like Blackout, I like to keep some braking power in reserve. If I miss a marker, or something happens in front that I wasn't ready for, I can downshift fast, not blip the engine too much, and just ride the throttle a touch to keep it straight.
Also, if you're not going to be able to pull it up, you can steer it quite a bit by locking the rears a little with a downshift. I think it's something that probably comes naturally with a bit of time at the wheel, learning to chuck it around a bit.
I also find that in organized leagues, there just isn't enough time to get mentally prepared and into race-mode when it comes to standing starts. That is, you pit out, you have the restart counter, and BANG! you're racing.
I'd like the option of having a short countdown similar to GTL etc. I think it would help focus a racer, prepare them for T1, their spot on the grid, and exactly what's/who's around him.
A month too late, but what the hell... that's not at all accurate. To suggest that all Australians want to do is 'Drift' is just so far off the mark, and I'm sure that most of the 300 odd members of The Austral-Asian League would agree.
Nice team LOTF, raced a couple of you the other day - v.clean and fair
that's the message you get when you've been banned... so I'm told It's possible for a server admin to ban you without you even being there. Maybe accidental, maybe someone just didn't like your skin/car choice/lack of moustache in a Moustache-Wearers Only Server..
Racing in a actual replay (a close scratch-race, an historic LFS race, or a league race you couldn't make but have the replay to...) would be very cool, but noone wants to be a ghost car...
Perhaps, a simple-ish way: You've affected the race, and knocked a car off. At the end of the lap, the car reappears where it should rightly be in the replay
Could that work? Could a replay function like that?
(Either that, or just grab your AI, and stick some passengers in your car... or see if you can pass them all cleanly within a lap )
Couldn't you have just said "par for the course" or whatever then, saved yourself typing? Woulda saved me typing too
Pretty hard to find a professional-style series nowadays that wouldn't have pitlane speed-limiters, I'd reckon. I think they work by retarding fuel or spark, or some necessary engine-related thingie
I tried to change my fuel load while driving up pitlane, or maybe even while i was pitted... It wouldn't do anything 'til I set it above the ammount already on board. Not a biggie, just gotta remember to do it before you pit.
Cockpit with FOV @ 95. It's all I've ever tried, it feels good... so i dunno, I'm pretty comfortable with it. Tho in any sim-type game, I find a chase cam impossible, it's just too detached.
