Totally agree with the original poster, nicely summed up.

One other thing, too - it's related I think. A couple of nights ago, I saw a guy (who frequents the forums, and is quick) say some pretty ridiculous things to someone who was on the lead lap.

He seemed to think that because his lap times were faster, he deserved right-of-way, despite being at least a lap down... He proceeded to get up someone that HE crashed into! I just couldn't believe the arrogance...

If you're a lap down, don't race the leaders - even if you're quicker. If they're nice, and it's not a crucial part of the race for them, most will let you through... but they're under no obligation at all. Unless you can get past cleanly, without affecting their race, back off.

Then, when you put a move on someone that you are particularly proud of (or nominate someone else's move), you make a wee vid and post it in the thread. Could lead to constructive race-craft discussion... voila, suddenly we have something useful!

No, he does pretty well. He's not sideways, and the rear wheels seldom completely break traction, he simply throws the car around without much concern for countersteer.

Another vote for some drinks and a smoke. The drink is pretty much a permanent fixture (kinda like Julian in Trailer Park Boys ) and I find a wee chuff helps me concentrate. To a point...

League racing is a quiet beer :shhh:, and some strong coffee.

I assume you're coming from joystick? I know of a few quick guys that weened themselves off of j/s only to discover that they couldn't hack driving a driving sim with a wheel! Will be interesting to see how and indeed if you cope with the change, and give others an idea what to expect.

I wish to assert here that I believe j/s to be inherently faster than wheel. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I was going to suggest that he make a sincere apology, to the whole community... but as he just keeps uploading dodgy hotlaps, I doubt that's gonna happen.
