That sounds just as good to be honest, but without the organising of a league. If we do this though, anyone else agree though that should be proper curcuit racing and say around 20 laps or so?
Yup, killed as many people as I could. Extra target practice
Picked this up last night and playing it I have to say - story mode I am quite enjoying it thought some of the missions area bit short at the moment. Maybe they will get longer as the game progresses.
Online though, I was playing for about an hour last night and apart from being killed alot lol, didn't notice any problems.
I wait until I have played more of the story mode, but shaping up to being a quality game
To be honest, whether this turns into a full league with points and rulings etc or whether just a night for a decent length organised race with the cars I don't really mind.
Either way, as long as Dajmin is racing so I wont loose I will join in
In that case then, I will get playing about with the cars to see which one I want. Initially, I would say M5 as I love it so much, but I will test the others.
Wow how did I completely miss this thread up until now. As I said in the forza thread would be good to do this. Though it seems that from the response in this thread that there is more than 8 people interested already (damn forza limit GRRR!) Might test out some of the cars anyway to see what they are like can never have to many cars in your garage anyway lol.
For clarifcation for anyone - You want a confederate flag on the roof (like the general lee) but you want the rest of the car skinned in colours similar to the colours (red, blue, white) of the flag?
Also if you give people ideas of what skins you want you might get better response than saying 'a few skins'
I agree. It is getting over used nowadays though some programmes some of the time I do think it looks good. The first time, I really noticed it was in Firefly which I think was made better at the time for the shakeycam and the “zoom in too far then zoom out a bit” cam. Gave some of the scenes a real sense of urgency. However, yes it is being overused now as it seems to be in so many films and programmes. You mention the new Star Trek, the first time I watched I noticed the lens flair but the shakeycam less though re-watching though I have. In battle scenes when camera is following a group running or on a ship shaking and moving around, I can live with it as (if done right) adds to the depth of the battle. It is when it is used in normal scenes that just make no sense. You’re not old though, you just remember the good ol’ days lol. On topic though: Bob is right, you do get used to different things. Due to the amount of travelling I do, with 99% of it on public transport I have gotten quite used to the sound of my ipod. When I get the chance though to listen music properly, you can notice the difference and I still do. Though I don’t always notice the differences (or the full amount of difference) unless I have got the ‘original’ to listen to also. Taking the example that has been used, Metallica: Death Magnetic, it is noticeable on the CD alone. Quite sometime ago I downloaded the ‘originals’ and it is so much better and I haven’t listened to the original CD since. In slight defence for mp3 players: For a cost effective way to make large volumes of music portable while listening to it you can’t beat them IMO. Though it annoys me when people have mp3’s the are low bitrates. Its not like mp3’s take up that much hard drive space at high bitrates. I do not understand why the music industry feel the need to do this though. They can give reasons but in my eyes there is no valid reason to do it and they should stop. Bring back people who can actually sing too, not ‘singers’ who have the vocal track edited so they actually hit the notes they were trying to.
@ Jibber: Oh not saying you would feel comfortable doing it. Just it is possible to do though I would suspect depends on earphones. Also wearing glasses wouldn't help as you said. Some people need to learn to easier. Does that mean you can't fall asleep with your tv on? or music on? etc.
Off Topic:
@ Dajmin: Reminds me of a joke "A bloke takes his mates back to see his new flat for a few more beers, one of the boys asks him what the big brass gong is for?
The host says "It's my speaking clock".
"How does it work?"
"I'll show you" and he hits it full pelt with a club hammer! And a voice from next door yells "For F*cks sake it's twenty to three in the morning"
While calling it a double ender is wrong, the fact he called it an double ender could be a double entendre. Or is that gifting tehirishnoob with too much brains
Agreed with the above. One of the few things I will do every year without failure is wear a poppy and remember those who have fallen. The World wars people did, not what they wanted but what they had to do to defend this country to give us the freedom we have. For that they should be enternally remembered.
If there ever is a reminder of the cost of war it is seeing the rows upon rows of white crosses at places like Normandy.
Ill give a breif explaination incase Chrisuu wants to signaturise me again lol. As many know my tv broke so sent it back and due to get it back Wednesday. It turns out my TV is cursed, the first time I got it I was sick. This time I was due to get it back and spend 2 days being tended to by the lovely NHS.
I still suffer with the headaches and get worse if im sat playing xbox/watching tv but I can for a bit so hope to see you guys online soon
I don't know the exact figues, but I would of thought that would depend on the set up of the limits. As it could be a case of a tuned IS-F could be tuned upto being on par powerwise and PI wise with the bigger cars mentioned (or possible engine swap?) The only way to really rule it in or out is when the final criteria for the cars are set.
I have been reading this thread longingly recently, but apparently I should definatly be getting my tv back tomorrow so hopefully I can do this league. Sounds like some fun, though I think the details need to be set first
P.s. As long as I can have either BMW M5 or IS-F ill be happy
Regarding the crash though, I have to agree with people. Sutil slowed due to Kimi and then Trulli risked it round the outside. Trulli plan failed with him loosing control and hitting Sutil.
Though I do like the press conference with Alonso and Kimi having a laugh about it.
In regards to the painting, unless you are one of the top few painters you wont earn enough. I find artwork/paintjobs substitute my race winnings. I know up until tv failure, I had earnt about 180k from my storefront which goes someway to buying cars but not being able to afford all that much.
Whoa, didn't take you long! Im upto about 25 or so so still some way to go, though I only just finished season 3 so your way ahead on that too. Congrats though
Edit: I've been signaturised - Thanks Chrisuu01 nice to see you find my suffering funny
Bad news guys, FM3 is so good it broke my tv Well not really, my has broken though. Trying to see if the spare is 60hz it so will be on later though no more fm3 hd until mine comes back Sucks so bad.
That was sooo funny. I couldn't stop laughing that we both just went straight on at the end of the straight lol. I have to say, I am not liking all the 4x4 / SUV's why couldn't they put some more normal cars in instead.
Sticking with the rockstar theme as I have yet to make anymore logo's a rockstar dtm audi
Right been playing for a fair while now, still only 4% through it though lol.
First impressions were that its fm2 with shinier graphics. Racing more and more though I would say it is not a whole new game interms of physics but that is down to fm2 being good. FM3, personally speaking, is like Turn 10 took FM2 and fixed alot of what was wrong with it. I would have to agree with danowat about the physics too. Even playing with a controller you get a sense of weight. I haven't played with the Lexus IS yet but the BMW M5 is sublime.
Also, while the updates in terms of storefront etc are not everyones cup of tea in a racing game I am really enjoying it. My running total for today is £93k from things I have sold which had gone to funding some of my car purchasing
