I find when any discussion comes up to do with the BNP it is a good thing to point out first that I am not racist. I don't care whether you are white, asian, black or believe in christianity, islam, buddism etc.
Now that is out the way: While question time can be a good program, I do not think that this episode was. Nick Griffin deserved to be on the program as the BNP are a political party and have won seats. For those who say he shouldn't of been, I am sure you would fight and argue for free speech if you wanted your opinion heard so let the free speech be heard. Whether you agree with or not though is another thing entirely. The problem I found was that instead of discusing BNP policy it seemed to be much more of a personal attack on Nick Griffin.
As Tristan said above, I do not want the BNP in power and I shudder at the thought of them even having a chance. However, I do find myself agreeing with a small percentage of what Nick Griffin / BNP say.
While you can argue the point of the media causing a frenzy or just wanting to sell newspapers, that why they use 'shocking' statistics which may be true. Without doing a survey yourself to find the true data you have to rely on information provided by the press. The two shocking pieces of information that I was shocked by (and i apologise the dates/amounts may be incorrect as I am doing this by memory) is that by 2011/2012 Leicster would become a white minority, and my home city of Birmingham following in around 2014. There were other cities mentioned aswell but, while I do not have a problem with migrants of any colour, creed or religion for immigration to go far enough that some of the major cities become white minorities is ridiculous. The statistic I saw was that by 2012 (I think it was) that 15% of the population will be immigrants. That is not 15% will be 'non-white' it means that 15% of the population of this country will not of been born here.
Now while statistics can be twisted for purpose of the presenter if these are anywhere near true then, in my opinion, paints a bad picture for this country.
Finally too add, and I know this was said above, is that I do not want the BNP in power though I do find myself agreeing with some of the statements. I can also see, that due to the other parties 'policies' on immigration (read: false promises on immigration) why people out of frustation possible are and will vote for BNP.
I doubt it either but for small doubt because it is a Microsoft keyboard and worked straight off on pc, though may have downloaded drivers anyway. I also hope because going to be a major pain inputting all those codes by screen keyboard I am sure I will live though.
Ah not too long then, I might start the downloads and go and eat some tea as does take a while sometimes. I only has a wireless usb kb, i assume it wont work but I don't know, worth trying though I suppose.
The only way I can think theywould be mutually exclusive it from a cost point of view.
This is not necessarily against you, but what is with this forum. Anytime anyone says their opinion, especially in favour of Hamilton, the standard response seems to be “fanboy” Personally speaking, I am not a fanboy of Hamilton, however no matter what your opinion of him is you have to admit he is a good driver. Just to be in Formula 1 you have to be the best of the best and to battle to win 2 WDC and win 1 of them you have to be very very good. Now as I said I am not a fanboy but I do support Hamilton for 3 reasons, 1. He drives a McLaren, 2. He is British and 3. He is a good driver. /rant over. Hamilton has had some good drives this year though and he has finished in places his car was in reality not quick enough to be there.
I completely agree with that. If this had happened everyone would be talking about his amazing form at the end of the season and how he pulled the championship out the bag. Either way it comes down to this: The three main title contenders all had racers which are worthy of them taking the WDC, but they also have had races which should of ruled them out of the championship. While Vettel was in a different car, which you can say was not so dominant at the beginning of the season. Button still beat Barrichello in the same car, so we can say for certainty Button deserves the championship more the Barrichello. No matter what the performances over some of the GP’s the most worthy champion is the one with the most points at the end of the season. That is the whole point of having the points system, to see who has been the most consitantly the best over the season.
I changed my pre-order to pick up in store to avoid the postal strike then GAME change there posting date due to it so you could have it even earlier. Oh well, only got to wait until Friday
Off-Topic: Dajmin - How random was that? I feel like it should of been made my Spankmeyer.
Was quite an exciting race, glad Button won it in the end though. Through all the people saying he isn't a deserving champion and saying he wont win it I just lol now. He deserves it and congrats to him.
Thats what all winners say because they don't worry about loosing
Yes I can, I plan on picking it up before work, that way there should be no problem with stock. However, I have problems with both game and gamestation where I have pre-release reserved a game for day of release gone there and they haven't got any copies left (Game because they had all copies on general sale even though people had reserved them and gamestation because they took more reserves than copies as 'they didn't expect everyone who had reserved one to actually buy it.') I don't know they might be better these days but even though I have reserved it and going pretty much at opening time, I still would not stake my life on getting a copy.
I can't speak though, more often than not I was battling with you for places when we were racing online lol.
Im assuming T2 you mean eau rouge? So in a formula 1 car no. Though in anything that it is not just flat out then I would say it is one of the best. Seeing and hearing the cars going light as they reach the top of eau rouge is awesome.
Having never driven these corners, but for the action you get at the corners, I would agree the Senna esses (sp?) are some of the best, if not the best, corners in Formula 1.
I don't know how the Microsoft system works but I would of thought if you keep your xbox off live until official release it should be ok as they wouldn't know (unless they can look at the date the game appeared on your gamercard or something similar).
On a slight off topic-ness: It seems the postal strike is held off for a couple of days but looking still likely to happen. If it does though, it will be around Thursday/Friday next week Perfect timing to interfere with the delivery of FM3. I don't know about anyone else, but I reserved with GAME as well and the one by me opens at 8am so should (if all goes to plan) be able to pick it up before work on Friday
Lowered powered cars do provide some good racing I agree. However, my favorite is more a light, RWD car with around 300 bhp with no traction control or stability control gives good, close racing, with a bit of speed with the added element of not being able to plant it due to the power.
So many ways to have fun in FM2, bring on FM3 now I feel withdrawn from FM3 already and I don't own it yet
Apart from the swift maybe, what suzuki would you want?
Same here (sort of) I ordered through play.com but cancelling that order and pre-ordering it from gamestation. That way I can pick it up in store on firday so I know I will definatly have it.
It is always the car though. I agree though, give me one racing car not the same racing just with different liveries. That way more room for road cars
Will be interesting to see how much things work out for in the end. Though just thinking, if i were to buy a logo I wonder if I could then sell it on for less but sell more. Shall find it all out in the end though.
I have some interesting designs for logo's and full paint schemes for the starter cars already so will try some painting straight off for some extra creds
The more I read about the store front, the more it looks good. Though I wait to see quite how much money anyone will be able to earn from it. I know from FM2 I could easily sell fully painted cars for ~500K so hoping this will be the same with some more added for decal selling. I wonder though how long it will take for the market place to get flooded with designs on all the starter cars lol. All these reviews though, none really touch on the tuning side of FM3. Lots of comments have been made about how you can do it wrong but I haven’t seen anything on what is actually available to do.
No, that’s only people who don’t have forward enough planning to book it off in the first place. You can say whatever you like as long as it is no way trolling or anything negative about forza 3 because we all know it is teh bestest game in the world ever !!1!11!!!one!!1eleven! Anyway, I love jap cars so was thinking the jazz however, I am liking the idea of cosworth-ing the fiesta so I will decide on the day I think.
For clarification: In my upcoming post, there will be smilies. Any comment made that is followed by a smiley, usually the smiley should be taken as a joke and not be taken seriously. Anyone found taking these comments to seriously will be subject to even more comments and possibly sarcasm also.
Changed from Forza 3 bashing to Forza 3 reviewer bashing,eh?
To be honest, while I also think some of those scores were a bit high, I wonder whether it was a case of scored against the competition as it stands. So because in the past they have scored a game at 4/5 for damage and FM3 does it better they have to then score FM3 higher even though the damage isn't all the great.
Either way looks promising that even ISR like it. Less than 2 weeks to go now
I haven’t had chance to watch the video as yet due to being at work, however I agree on the testers/reviewers. If you had hardcore sim racers reviewing Forza 3 then I doubt it would score all the highly. However get someone who knows a little about it but is more a general game reviewer/racing reviewer on a game like forza they will be able to give a wider view on the game. FM3 is a mass market game and is advertised as being good for complete novices through to sim racers and so should be tested by novices through to sim racers to see how well it can cope with covering such a wide spread. Personally speaking, the reviews mean very little to me. FM2 was good, the demo was good also = Certainty that I would buy FM3.
Physically or mentally? Physically im 23, mentally it varies between about 5 - 13 years old I admit I am still a big kid when it comes to presents and new things so yes FM3 looks like it will be an awesome game and I am looking forward to playing it on the first day - Its me and ofcourse im going to express it. Even though I had a DFP, when I first got my G25 I spent the whole night on LFS and I am the same with everything.
Sounds like a good plan I already had more annual holiday than I knew what to do with, including plenty of time off for games but my annual holiday is going up again end of next week so even more days to have off So cue time off for games, I thought it was going too far though to book a whole week off lol so only a couple of days. Should be enough though
That Audi looks good though, going to be so fun painting that up to mimic the DTM cars
