The weird thing is that when connecting to a server (for the first time) the skins download just fine, but once in-game the downloads get stuck trying to do so, and after a while it just throws error messages like:
SKIN : Receive error 2 - ABC_<skiname>
——————————————————————————————————————— Can't download skin - queue is full : ABC_<skiname> (followed by the one below) Can't download skin : ABC_<skiname>
———————————————————————————————————————
And then sometimes after some time it just throws SKIN : Not Found - ABC_<skiname> so it "tries" to "restart" queueing downloads while still trying to download the same skin it has been stuck on.
If I disconnect from the server and try to join another one or watch a replay I get queueing errors so I need to restart/close the game as a temporary fix.
IMAGE REQUIREMENTS :
JPG format (use the .JPG extension)
car skin dimensions, minimum / maximum : 1024*1024 / 2048*2048 pixels
helmet skin dimensions, minimum / maximum : 512*512 / 1024*1024 pixels
the uploaded original may be no bigger than 1.5MB
When you update a skin just re-upload it with the same name. LFS checks the file-date of a skin to decide if people should re-download it.
Tip : you can also drag and drop skins onto the skins overview page.
As of now, 2048x2048 is the max resolution you can upload for car skins.
Give a bit more of info, like what kind of controls you use: Mouse/Keyboard, Gamepad (Controller, Joystick) or a Steering Wheel.
Did you assign axis?
Did you turn off your car by accident or left it idling which the game automatically turns it off? Default Ignition key is I.
Do you have a controller connected?
Also try different "Look Function" modes under View (joystick, axis, mouse x, mouse xy, etc), maybe the one selected is causing the issue.
(A bit late but oh well lol)
I get something smilar with the XFR*. From 1st to 5th gear I can press the shift up key as fast as it can possibly be and it shifts up right away, but in 6th gear I need to be a tad bit slower for LFS to detect it.
EDIT: *Also happens with FOX and the aforementioned F08.
FOX: The same as the XFR
F08: This glitch appears to happen from 4th gear and above, but couldn't reproduce it with 3th to 4th upshift
XFG, XRG, FBM and Blackwood are more than enough for a Demo, and say thanks the Demo doesn't have a time limit, plus you can even join or create a server.
XRT skins can be used on XRG (with a few mismatches), altho it can be considered re-uploading if the author of a XRT skin doesn't upload it himself/doesn't make a XRG variant.
These are just aesthetic skidmarks. For example, if you closely look at Blackwood Turn 1 you'll see that these "skidmarks" on some spots are floating or clipping. Same thing happens with Westhill. (BLWskid_ALP and WSTskid_ALP are the respective files).
Just because TC is the "dominant" server on LFS on the last years, doesn't mean it's automatically a Cruise sim (although we have indicators, headlights, sirens, backroads and such).
Found something: If objects are selected and I CTRL+Right Click in a rectangle selection on other objects, that previous selection gets overridden with the CTRL+RC (rectangle selection) one. Therefor I need to re-select these objects.
Edit: discard that. I can't select marshalls when selecting the object (in preview mode prior to placing it), but can select them after placing the restricted area.
Not surprised at all. I knew the first time I saw him he shouldn't be trusted. Too bad people fell for it and gave him important info (e.g. credit cards) and/or bought licenses from him.
Today they salute you with a hand shake, but tomorrow they stab you on the back
I agree, but they should be something new or a unique variant, rather than just XRTs with 300 different engines/bodykits, f.e. the so-suggested RB4 GTR (a great rival for the FXR), or brand new (real or ficticious) cars.
Setup protection would be useless. You just copy/paste the values into a new setup and voila, you can change whatever you want/share it to somebody else.
But it's going way off-topic to what the thread is really for. It's better to post this on the Improvement Suggestions sub-forum instead. It's there for a reason.

Ps: Haven't had a single problem with R patches.
