some of the marshal positions are horrendous. I do enjoy the X-Games but christ they need to employ some common sense. The crash above where the dude missed the jump and hit the bridge as well... where's the extinguishers?
I was referring to the last world cup where they finished behind Nz. Just highlighting the turn-around time of total disaster to massive success. Whereas England are in this continual loop of mediocrity.
Rooney and Gerrard are both Champions League winners, they aren't total idiots. This is the mystery. While others said England had no hope at this tournament, I genuinely thought they had a group of decent players. Decent enough not to look like they were totally clueless unfit losers as Italy made them look. The fact they then blew penalties when they should have had the mental advantage was also shocking.
So Italy finish bottom of their World Cup group and in the followed tournament get to the final. Quite remarkable and speaks volumes about the nature of the game.
England reach the quarters and needs a route and branch re-think about English football. Italy finish last in their group, shake it off, and reach the final of the Euros.
Lewis took a high risk strategy. Modern tracks mean that when you run a driver wide, which Lewis was perfectly within his rights to do, and then that's followed by a corner in the opposite direction of the first then you have to take into account that. Lewis didn't. There's a time and a place to defend your position, this wasn't it.
Our strengths are defence and we pretty much played a 9-2 formation. What we witnessed was really as good as it will get with this bunch of players. It was mind-numbingly awful. It's hard to comprehend how a team which features players that have when Champions League trophies can play so poorly, but Roy produced performances that were as good as England will ever play.
I would have jumped out the way, no question. This is modern F1 and that's the way the tyres work. You can't defend with DRS and Pirelli tyres it's utterly pointless. When your pace is similar yes, but when your tyres are gone, they are gone.
The whole tournament has been a media disaster. What made me laugh was people were saying constantly before the tournament.
"Everybody has low expectations for England this year, and because of that they could do really well". Do the not understand how stupid that sounds? The sentence contradicts itself. Also, how can a team that includes 4-5 champions league winners not be expected to qualify from a group with Sweden and Ukraine?
I don't think there has been any improvement under Roy either, but he did play to England's strengths. but defending the ball and hoofing it can only get you so far. That's really all it appears England can do.
There was a stat doing the rounds on Twitter that the player the completed the most passes for England was.... Joe Hart.
If I was Lewis' team boss I'd be bollocking him for being an idiot... just before I go apeshit at Maldanado in the stewards room. That's how II see the whole thing
Each car has different set ups so it's hard to get the DRS working fairly. Some drivers hit the limiter while others don't. But then it's all about how the teams deal with it.
No, coz we were smarter than the ones that chose to go Uni and racked up thousands of pounds/dollars of debt. Of course I jest, but there is a certain element of truth in that for some.
I was fed the same BS about Uni and all that blah, but thankfully I had an instinct that the economy was doomed to **** up at some point and **** having shit loads of debt. Nothing I really wanted to do 100% required a degree fortunately as well.
But you are right, that young kids are fed so much rubbish about going Uni and then they find there are no jobs. No job is guaranteed, everyone should know that, however boom time mentality messes with people's common sense.
