Quote from pipa :He didn't say there were 2 slopes on the bridge.

And if it was a racist joke, wouldn't it be also racism if he didn't make it.

Yes, if he didn't make the racist joke because it was racist that would be racist.

**** me.

And btw I

1. Didn't highlight the racist joke first
2. Amp88 is as vocal as me on this and any other normal human.

Quote from piggy501 :Speak for yourself - literally nobody I've spoken about it with has known that "slope" was a racist term, and nobody realised that it could have had any connotation towards the Asian chap on the bridge, because, hmm I don't know, the bridge was sloping?

.... and pikey isn't a racist term blah blah blah blah it's fairly obvious what Clarkson was doing. No comment is 'accidental' especially one about a slope on a bridge.

btw Dawdust I was quite vocally supportive of top gear until the pikey's peak incident... so stop making up complete lies.

Quote from fwanky :why the **** do you care so much anyway?

pre-school kids dont whine this much

The same thing could be said about you.

Why do you care so much to reply and ask this same question?

I do love the bask in hypocrisy.

I am not a huge fan of KRP. Feels like a very very good rFactor mod, not much more.

So now we're saying don't just "turn over" we're now saying if you don't like Top Gear's latest casual racism stop watching TV altogether? WHAT THE ****...ok.

Quote from The Very End :Many countries pay the license fee for channels and programs we don't use (most of us), so that argument you cannot use.

What drugs are people taking?

The whole point of the BBC is to have a publicly accountable TV channel that serves the interests of the public. You couldn't have a more acceptable situation for moaning at a TV show.... literally.

Quote from pipa :Thats why we watch TopGear, because of the immature fun stuff they put out. The whole show is bloody build around it and racist jokes are part of it.

How about you watch something else as evidently you don't like it.
People have invented the remote for a reason.

You may or may not know but the BBC is funded via a licence fee which is mandatory for all UK TV viewers. You simply can't just 'turn over'. The BBC is in effect a publicly owned organisation. So it is stupid to say 'turn over' when you are being forced to fund it. Whether you agree with the concept or not you have a perfect right to moan about it.

... and to be honest I have no idea what to reply to that bolded part I really don't.

I can't even describe how stupid that is.

It was a play on words. Slope is an old derogatory term for Asians.

Slope means something that is slanted. it doesn't take much to connect the dots. Certainly it was a lot more subtle than Pikey's Peak.

I think it's a good thing to have old weird handling cars in simulators. It's kinda what they are perfect for.

Steering input lag seems to be an issue for some. For me catching slides is not a problem at all doesn't matter what car I am driving. Some are more challenging than overs. The amount of on the limit (well personal limit) laps I can hit out now without doing something stupid and crashing have vastly increased in AC over other sims which tend to do a bunch of weird things when you try and lap fast and consistent.

Also just as a cautionary note - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMDVMp3CbdY

Williams will have three or more separate liveries this season. Martini lines considered part of brand, so livery will change per country.

They will have a few more designs coming in this year. So it's not JUST this one, which admittedly is quite conservative. but if you want to bring in new designs it's probably best to start with something quite basic.

Quote from troy :That sucks, I always liked Garry's pieces and predictions before Q. I don't get why the beeb feels the need to dumb down the coverage for the average joe that may zap to F1 by accident.

Nope, the ERS system (not KERS as the energy recovery now includes energy recovery fitted to the turbo) will not be deployed via a button. The deployment well be via engine management systems.

I am sure the early races will be chaotic but it won't be long before everyone figures out the new systems and it'll be pretty much as we were.

Quote from tristancliffe :I think 2014 F1 is going to be awesome in every way - retirements, mistakes, managing tyres and fuel rather than girly sprint racing, crazy KERS leading to strategic passing/defending, and a far better noise than the daft screams of recent years.

As oppose to manly endurance racing ? By the way KERS is no more. I don't even think they have the boost button. The ERS is integrated into the power management.

Well if you put an on-board up of someone who isn't so smooth it might be more comparable. I found with EVERY sim the more you practise the more smooth you get until the point you're making only a tiny amount of corrections... it's inevitable. Even Richard Burns Rally where you just become in tune and are hardly making any unwanted corrections. So even if a sims physics are perfect it's hard to compare to real life where you have less practise and a greater amount of feedback coming your way.
