Do you mean pay? I guess it depends on what else the game offers. Having licensed cars with simple physics is pointless, imo... but then again, you're on a sim forum

I think you've said it already, If it is good, license doesn't matter, but it has to stand out.

Quote from Texpelt88 :....I still don't know what AFAIK is.

As Far As I Know, google could possibly help finding out. But of course you could wait a little bit longer until someone is so nice to explain it to you

Hi, you could just reply to your other topic and by that bump it. I think you could delete the other now as nooone replied to it and it only fills teh section up and others get pushed away.

Question, you're english, but why do you have a chinese flag in your profile?

However, composed your skin qucikly and added Daloonie's bodykit features incl. a bit of dirt if you don't mind

Enjoy

However, you wouldn't hear it anyway since you're faster than the sound, no??

Quote from Boris Lozac :Bummer. Btw will there be a camera on him?

Quote from troy :and yes there will be cameras on felix' suit but we won't be able to see those images live due to technical reasons.

This is so awesome. As i understand he'll be reaching speeds close to supersonic but barely feel a thing.

Question: Excuse my lack of information, but will we see actual images from the outside or how will it be captured?

Quote from Crashgate3 : People need to Give Less Of A Sh*t about things that aren't really that important in the grand scheme of things.

As long as it doesn't affect me, i don't care, but as soon, I am gonna have to, you know

Quote :well... it makes you consider whether people have the right to deny someone that and who the f*ck do you think you are to be able to make that decision.

Only one should be able to, the mother, and no-one else, imo of course. After all, when this life is going to be screwed (no job, no future) than there is not much point in starting it in the first place.

And that is just one of teh things that is wrong with believing so hard in something, some random guy wrote back in the days, where it might have made sense, but today, there shouldn't be any need for it

Quote from cargame.nl :Why after so many months the sudden rush to a single full (patch) version within a month and then go silent again for X unknown months. Don't feel forced to give any answer but I just don't understand the logic. If I look back in history, it was different "back in the days".. But in history everything always looks better hmhm

I'm guessing one reason could be the urgency, since it was security and inconvenient-MP related If that's done he can get back into the funk.

Makes total sense to me

Quote from edge3147 :
IMHO, Most of use just want to know a little more information about what these physics changes are going to involve. It would allow us to do some research and learn more about the physics and possibly prepare to adjust to the changes.

IMHO, you should really read more of his posts. This subject was talked about over and over again, and chances are, Scawen just skips this read cause he's well aware of teh community and it's feelings.

Ina nutshell, the goal is to make teh physics more realistic (incl. better temperature model and deformation)
Further, breakable wings were announced.

But physics arn't done yet (cpu usage, handling in extreme situations, and whatnot).

And that's about it.

Quote :just hate to see it taking this long to move forward

imagine how he feels not finding the correct solution

Quote from edge3147 : I would love to see some data and other technical information regarding the subject.

Scawen already gave a statement to this request. Basically, if you wanna know, go study it, which is what he did over the last years and there is no point writing an essay about it.

PS.@ Macfox, it sure looks fantastic, but this also looks like it needs a lot of cpu power.

Simple, Eric just doesn't give flying duck (I suppose from his interaction with the community)

Quote from wolfshark :

I do not want to argue anymore about my personal opinion.
All people are different, everybody should understand that.

It's totally fine that you have this opinion, although, personally, I don't understand why you havn't bought a license yet, when you've learned driving in LFS and enjoyed it very much, but when you say that it doesn't have any value for you and you will delete the game anyway, why bother wit it. You can set (on the main website or here in the forum) a notification per e-mail to recieve whe the update comes out.

With all these negative remark, and I'm not only talking about you now, it's just upsetting for the community and demotivating for the developers. If it wouldn't be for LFS and their approach to simulate driving physics, I think it's fair to say that the genre wouldn't be where it is and Scavier simply doesn't deserve that.
Now, don't get me wrong, I, as much as simply everyone else, would like more content, but it's just not as possible as it is for others.

Quote from wolfshark :I haven't said that i am waiting 4 years to buy it. Played the demo a bit, and waited for the promised new physics.
...

it's the same as nothing, don't fool yourself.

Actually, for the people who actually play it, it actually is something.

But you shouldn't fool yourself. It's to be expected that the new physic basically just fix a few 'errors' and improve the overall performance and realism, but since you only care about the imerssion of driving historic, iconic and well known tracks and cars, there is nothing you have to expect.

Quote from tristancliffe :Interesting thought Sinbad. Moving right across was proven to be fine, as the following driver has the choice of lifting or not. As the stewards lack consistency, one has to assume that Grosjean will get a penalty.

Different situations - Imo, just way too agressive driving. Grosjean had Hamilton "in sight", starting a place behind him. It seems to me Grosjean appeared too rapidly for Hamilton to react to it, while Vettel slowly moved over with Button having a much better overview.

The penalty might be harsh but at the same time Alonso nearly got seriously injured.
