It is based on NFS shift hich is really an arcade racer... or at least not a real simulation) You make you steering wheel setups moving sliders for sensitivity and so on...
As for the developement phase... naturally things progress, but LFS was true simualtion from day 1 in every aspect.
As for your second part, again, conentwise i totally agree, that tehre could be more especially when you have a real simulation base
While i agree that there could be more content, you dont have any valid argument here, because you say the physics are as good, which is bollocks. CARS is an advanced arcade racer and can't be compared with a real simualtors (LFS, Netkar...)
Graphics are great but to run these, one need a quite new PC indeed . LFS can be played by literally everbody with acceptable graphics. For Cars many have to invest at least 100-200 in PC specs again. Further is the price of CARS not yet decided anyway (afaik), which adds to it.
So in the end, LFS is still great for its money.
PS.
10 years of online gameplay (with a lifetime license) = £2,40 /year
How much cost an Xbox game and online membership for 1 year?
Yes, because with all the different custom colors (and i mean all the hundred green or blue or yellow tones ) and eventual numbers, it's alot easier if you have a naked base. I didn't intend to send out the raw file, but might as well, because you might want to adjust the color of the marcello logo depending on your custom colors. The CV design on the nose isn't visible in the preview, as you have to choose it yourself (included)
The custom color area is temporaly filled with rainbow colors, which looks nice actually, but is just a placeholder obviously, but it will become clear in file.
Attached is a basic version, obviously some sponsors missing and the custom parts arn't painted. I'd send the PNG file (transparent custom parts) where you can underly the colors and add your numbers yourself.
One of the things i find stupid was the probing. While it was fun to find the crash site of teh normandy (why couldnt i take the Mako with me... whyyyyyyyyyy), doing all this researching is job of one of the many crewmembers. The capatain does teh arse kicking and makes important decisions
ME1 was great but the omni-gel actions were annoying. What i hated about ME2 was tho (beside some other little changes), NO MAKO
I loved the expeditions to new, undiscovered planet (although they were a bit dull) I dont see the reason why they took out the Mako completely. The Normandy 2 was so much bigger, it wouldn't have hurt to spare a little spot to take it on the journey.
PS. it would make more sense to play 1and2 since its a trilogy and you can carry your avatar through all titles incld the desicions you made
I think what he means is stuff like Shep holding a closing door open for Anderson... One would think a strong captain lie anderson could do that on his own xD
yeah, it's quite well known here that you would like to tap them :P
But seriously, they probably gonna do some PR once the game is in stage 1.0., at last. But a simple get 1 license for half the price and an autograph from the developers, won't make any difference to anything.
@e2mustang, what are they doing now? Did they bought a license or were they turned off by things like huge colorful letters over the players and the lack of content (i.e. famous, prestigious cars or RL racecars)?
TVE, whats wrong with the old people? There is a reason those people do not play atm and there is a reason this game "dies out" / no new people (which is bollocks infact, as there are coming new players consatntly).
Why should the devs consider making this game even cheaper, when other titles with less substance can charge like 40bobs.
A promo like that would let LFS Devs look kinda desperate, when infact, as soon as S3 comes out and it's good, it will be rated high again in its genre and many players will be online, without a doubt.
It is a message from LFS WORLD. It tells you that your skin isn't uploaded to the database of which the other players on the server try to download your skin. At the moment, other players only see your car plain white.
Skinslots on LFSW can be bought by Demo Racers (like you) or licensed players (who have 50 slots free by default).
The link to LFSW is on top of this page (or click here)
naah, it's already quite cheap. If one cant afford the spare 12, how the hell is the internet connection gonna be payed, the connection required for actual gameplay.
But that is just how it appears on the helmet, which is 'altered' to fit along the desgin or to compliment the dynamic of the design. It's quite a bit stretched and bent.
I've re-painted the Iceman logo, because all i found was a wallpaper, but it wasn't smooth enough. Ive tried the basic layout, but it just doesn't look like it. Especially without the chinpart, let alone the winglip.
If only the lower chinpart would be just straight down, many things would work out better. But then again the wing is an important part of this design, even without those fancy render pics.
The MRT is small enough to fit into the whole file, so there is no generall stretching, except for the intake 5tag mentioned and the opposite side of the body, which is located on the actual side layer. Due to the shape there is stretching indeed. Sorry, i don't know why i did'nt look into it. It has nothing to do with personal preference - it was an accident :P
E: alright, here it is. MRT
As usualcertain parts, like the area around the engine and driver, need special treatment.
I cant believe im saying this, but he actually has a point (even if it only applys in a race and only rare cases)
While driving close behind another car, and all you see is the rear of your opponent, it 'can' be difficult to hit the exact point to turn into a cicane, for example. Not having the body of the other car visble can help...
But that is really as much advantage i can possibly see. There is no advantage in HL mode because, you'd achive the same result with practise or a custom view.
Another thing is, SETH, the HL chart, with all respect to the aliens who get this doen, it only show what is possible within the limits of the physics engine and it's pointless to get upset of it, let alone make this a reason not to by the full game and miss out on all teh racing fun.
After all it's one of the most realistic Simulators available.
S.E.T.H. the advantage is huge. I am roundabout 2 sec faster on small tracks and like 5 sec on longer tracks. Other cars arn't even an obstacle anymore.
I also use a 100cm+ screen and can see every pixel, which obviously gives me the total overview.
If it's about competition - use it and see if you've been beaten because of this "advantage" (which is minimal really) A good driver does those laps in full cockpit view.
If it's about fun - rest assured that there are people who are into simulation and realism as much as you. It's been mentioned that there are servers who use the host option of forced cockpit view.
