Ahh I see, I have never ran a dedicated server, I usually just start the host off my computer. Will the setup.cfg work in my LFS directory if I start a host without a dedicated server?
Is there an option to force-spectate people if they take the wrong route on an auto X track? By "wrong route" I mean wrong route check way-point order. I know about the restricted area, however, obviously I cant have a restricted area on the track its self.
There are problems for some people with that technique for me. My feet are skinny and are not wide enough to get a good press on the gas pedal (in my car). Also I can't just tilt my foot just a little to get a good blip because my heel hits the center divider (left hand side driver). I am forced to choke up on the brake pedal then tilt my side-foot/heel on to the gas pedal. I guess thats just my problem.
And with that conflicting arcs thingy, just pick up your feet. Not only does it solve the problem, you also get a lower ab workout while you drive/play LFS. Think, if you play lfs for more than 2 hours per sitting, then you get aprox. 1.3 hours of lower ab workout. Don't Be Lazy!!!!!
Usually women divers that do stupid things in cars, or 16 year old kids driving his dads truck into the moat because he was showboating(actually happened at my school when I was in high school).
In general, the ones who ruin the insurance rates for being born.
Really, I have known people (more than 3) who have got themselves into a car accident within less than a week of getting their license.
I drive like a maniac on the street, and have not gotten into one accident, how hard is it? Those people are ruining my insurance rates!!!!!
Since there are people who would purchase S1 that think:
"wooo I don't think S2 is worth the price, I would buy S1, but I hear there are hardly any servers online so, so I'll wait."
Wait for what I'm not sure, however I just recently thought up this idea to improve the image and online availability of S1.
When someone runs a host that owns S2, usually it is stays on S2. So if there are any track/car combos that are within S1's availability, S1 users still can't race on that particular server. This dramatically decreases their chances of racing on line.
Here is my idea:
When a server changes to a track and car combo that are within S1's parameters, then the host should automatically switch to S1 allowing for any S1 user to join.
I know its like the real thing however its not a class car i would like to pursue. maybe if I joined the club at college, they build one, then I might want to race it.
New new Miata setup for the XRG:
For the previous setup I focused on the suspension and differential. However I only estimated the gearing. This new setup, I changed the gearing to use the actual gear ratios of a stock Miata. But to add to that my final gear is not stock so I estimated the final to be similar to mine.
The loosing of grip and regaining of grip is mostly all setup related, meaning if you made a realistic setup. Lets say the XRG to be similar to a real car, a '90s supra, then you would notice the feel of grip loss and regain if you have driven that particular car in real life. However the setups are too adjustable . If there is power on under steer then you could just tweak the rear dampers up to compensate for the load transfer.
Regarding suspension setup most people have everything too stiff.
Back on topic:
Racing simulator or not, don't expect people to use things the way they are or were designed to be used. Also I am not going to lie, I have enjoy my share of LTC fro time to time, and is a really good use of LFS. One, cruise servers keeps most of those problematic people that drivers complain about on race servers out of them. Two, their money still goes to the creators of the game we all seem to enjoy so much for what ever reason, be it cruising or racing, it all leads to the progression of the game as a whole.
So what is there to complain about? The people that go on cruise servers or the allowing of the cruise/drift servers to exist? All the more money helps the developers out. Cruise and drift don't actually take away from the racing community, the people that want to race will race and the people who want to drift/cruise will do just that. regardless of weather there are 2000 S2 users or 10000, which would help the development more? Rhetorical, obviously, "enemy of my enemy is my friend" -said by someone other than me (even though there is no real "enemy" here).
