MW2 online is pretty awesome. If anything I'd personally say its better than Cod4's online, it flows much better and if I'm honest I much prefer this style of "matchmaking". You end up always having a server with the right ammount of people, and it also eliminates the boring server list of doom, with 30 servers and you not knowing which one to join.
Plus, whenever you join a game you join it at the start, you never pick up where someone else left off or in a random battle like for example, CSS.
You really should buy it, its well worth the fun factor online even if your not in a serious clan, and clans do exist for it - I already know a lot of people who play 5v5 S/D.. etc.
Have you ever even seen a war movie? Do you know how horrible, depressing, scary and gruesome it is?
Also, in your ideal world (war) would you be fighting? Or just sitting at home like the seemingly mentally unstable internet hero you are thinking that its a good thing.
My Grandad went to war, he didn't do it for the "fun" or just to kill people, he did it for his home country that he loves and was willing to protect with his life. I think you making silly childish assumptions totally ignores the fact that other people are different from the cold, sad and unintelligent mess that you are.
Was this the war where men were forced to go off and fight? And if not they had to wear a diminishing, definately "uncool" badge that pretty much segregated them lower than dogs?
I added you to ignore about 2 years ago and you still manage to spew out such trollup.
Also a giant FML to all the people "flaming" world war one? This is a bloody rememberence topic now can we get back to doing that instead of argueing over it? Its unbeliveable how people act over the internet just because they can, if they said some of the things posted in here to a real war vet. Or a real family member, face to face, they'd probably get their heads knocked off.
My stea won't load at all this morning, I bought and pre-loaded MW2 last night before they activated it and since its finished preloading steam won't get past the Connecting To Account... part. Anyone else had this problem?
For a start your switching down to second gear when your going down the straight in fourth. You don't need to do that. Don't slide your car into the turn as much, just give it a tiny flick left and then right, and slowly start turning away from the inside of the turn, to counter steer. You should go on drift servers and watch how people do it.
Your not trying to use your speed to make the slide sideways with all wheels out of traction, Your more..... Doing a burnout at speed. The front wheels want to be going the same speed as your moving, and your rear wheels need to be spinning a lot faster so that you lose traction.
EDIT:
This demo is from about a year ago, you can see how I'm pointing the wheels in the direction I want to go around the corner, but giving the car a lot of throttle so that the rear end slides wide.
Regarding the white nuckle steering, your going to set much better times relaxed rather than gripping your steering wheel for all its worth. So you basically answered your own question.
You can countersteer much faster than we can with the pad, I think I'll definately have to look into getting a wheel.
I was going to have a go earlier at setting my xbox up to my monitor but then I realised I can't because the monitor has no sound output! I'd have to get one of those little boxes that you plug into the xbox control where the mic goes that has both a mic in/stereo output - although I'm not sure what the quality would be like.
EDIT: Just read up on those things and apparently you need a stereo output on your TV for it to work - Damn!
On the xbox - VGA cable I have there's two wires for sound output, there the big jacks though like this:
Anyone know a way I could connect those up to a normal pair of headphones with a 3.5mm jack?
Was in GAME today having a look at wheels, could only see the MS one but while I was there realised I had no space. I could move my xbox into my PC room and hook it up to my CRT - since it has 2 VGA ports and you can switch between them. Although I'm not sure how the resolution and graphics would be, this monitor goes up to like 1800 x 1400 so it could run HD, I'm not sure how it would handle it though.
If your ever doing a C class championship and don't know what to use, this baby is brilliant. If you can somehow manage to get a race gearbox in there without going into B class (add weight I guess) it'll be the best damn car.
In the Kaido uphill series I was around 70th in the world for each race, in this stock car! Great fun to drive too, turns in so well - I thought it was FWD.
