How many of those mods cost money to download? If someone is recreating a track for no cost and giving it to the public for no cost or profit, then the track owners don't really have the right to go crazy do they? If the developers make Silverstone and Brans Hatch and then make a lot of money as a result of that, the track owners are gonna want some money from it.
I've not looked into what you said about the graphics drivers, but having all your graphics drivers installed onto the OS I can't help but think they aren't going to be perfectly optimised, compared to the drivers that Nvidia, ATI..etc release.
Anyone got a decent link for the latest RSRBR update? I went to do some online last night and it told me I needed an update, so I tried to update but even the links on the official site were broken.
Have you not read the posts above yours? That whole list is a fake - its a list put together by a forum of the cars that they would like to see in GT5.
They aren't there to provide us with constant updates to keep us entertained. Remember that there's only 3 of them, and making games takes a long time.
The mods that magnot makes are just conversions from other games, all they are, are models placed into LFS instead of the existing ones. He doesn't need to code the physics - which I'm guessing is what takes 90% of the time.
Quick article I found from a google search - he denies that it will go to any other consoles (which is expected really) but he says that PC is a possibility!
Man if this game came to PC, I'd forget completely about the physics - being able to drive all of those cars on all of the tracks in the world is just, its the dream game for any PC racer.
But you need a good knob, after all your constantly reaching down and grabbing your knob, sometimes with quite some force. You want a sturdy knob that's not going to easily break or suffer from wear & tear.
EDIT: I liked your sly little Proton dig there Frenchy
The layout isn't what you want - all you'll see is a bunch of lines on the road, and some barriers. Its a mod - the object files are changed, similar to the way the .veh mods like the S14 and AE86 work.
Its in that guys signature who you replied to, why would you need to search through his posts?
Modding LFS has always been illegal on this forum, and posting pictures only makes people want these mods more and more. Personally I don't care if people are modding the game - but if they want to avoid being punished, just keep it off the official forum.
Also, he didn't even make the car, its just a converted model from Juiced - so basically, all he did was convert the juiced model into an LFS accepted one.
I don't care if people use the mods, if it gets them to shut up about LFS development then I'm all for it - but the rule is your not allowed to post them on this forum.
