Who don't know what your on about?

That game has been posted many times here before in many different threads.

The only reason your posting it is so you can get people to be your students on the game.

People do know what your talking about, they're just sick of reading it after so many others have done the same.

/thread.

I went on earlier for a few goes, was real fun! Managed a 44.01 but I'd hit a cone somewhere and it didn't count.

I'll be back on there at some point - very addictive!

I quite enjoyed it, here's a few things that I thought could be better:
  • Some of the drifting
  • The camera's weren't very smooth sometimes
  • The footage was a square shape, but you rendered the movie as wide screen
  • Some of the effects were a bit corny, I didn't like the inverted colours part and the transitions like the folding blinds, were a bit...... Eww.
Overall it was quite good, in true Squid style I guess I'd give you a 6/10. Its definitely not failure, though.

I thought I'd join in the TE37 trend and try and make one.

Bearing in mind this is only the second wheel I've ever made and one of the first things I've tried to poly model, I'm quite proud.

Also, you don't want to see the wire frame - its hideously buggy.

Rendered with V-Ray, although I've not found the best settings for it yet.

Real sad to see one of the best team's in history (if not the best) go down.

Good luck to all involved and I wish you a good time in that place they call "real life".

Wow it looks cool, they're a bit unclear in the description - if you have it equipped to your guy but your still using the sniper gun, will it still work?

Quote from UnknownMaster21 :I disagree that....

There is good demo host servers, not only the bad ones... And I am asking what is the point of showing only S1/S2 servers?

When I click refresh server's, I see about 3 full S2 servers, then 40 full demo servers.

I frankly don't want to play or look at demo servers, so I'd much rather only look at the servers I might be interested in.

The server list was much better the way it was before they were all merged.

Awesome!

Now when are the round 1 & 2 broadcasts gonna be done? Are they ever going to be? I remember one of the UFBR broadcasts got to the same stage as the 1 & 2 one's are at now - done but need commentary.

I never heard anything about the UFBR one after that stage...

I use a 350D - the model up from the 300, I bought this with the kit lens and all the accessories for about £300 - about 2 & half years ago.

There are much better camera's around for £200 I reckon - shopping around on ebay and doing a lot of research (as in reading lots of reviews from lots of different sites) will get you the best deal, I guess the devs don't mind if I post a link to some photography sites - but if that's against the rules let me know please!

Its also worth posting on the forums of CameraLabs - they're very newbie friendly.

EDIT: Considering that includes the grip too that's quite a good deal, the grip's are around £80 new as long as its an official canon one.

Jeremy isn't sporty, he's a huge long booming mess!

It definitely looks like them - if you had given me the picture and not told me who it was, I'd have told you straight away.

This doesn't solve your problem but gives an equal or better solution to it:

When I record anything raw from fraps I compress it with a codec called HuffyuV - its a real great lossless codec that somehow manages to get a much smaller file size. I then edit the clips together in Vegas/AE using this format, and render that as an Uncompressed AVI - I then encode it to X264.

This is a big annoyance and it took me about a day to figure out how to work the X264 codec but the end result is awesome - a 10 minute clip, 150mb and virtually uncompressed quality.

Do some google's on HuffyuV, X264 and a program I use to encode called Staxrip.

Yeah, and to learn how to 'make mods' you need to learn how to do whatever your thinking of.

Are you thinking of making 3d models of cars and importing them? Making tracks? It all requires basic 3d knowledge and how things are produced, rendered and implemented into games.

I suspect the reason you haven't found a simple tutorial on 'how to make mods for rFactor' is because its not a simple, straight forward thing to do - otherwise everyone would be doing it.

An rFactor forum is a much better place to start - not the forum where many people consider rFactor to be the equivalent of Hitler.

If you want to be a game designer, learn how to model stuff in 3d first - at the end of the day that's what you'll end up doing, unless you want to do textures or sounds..etc.

Quote from Shadowww :Fixed

For a site like that a domain name is about £2.50 for 2 years, hosting would be around £10 a year.

As long as you make over £12.50 in donations - your in the profit.
