Why do you want something so fast? All you'll do is kill yourself or kill someone else. Get a cheap to run hatchback with good mileage, something like a Civic.
I don't mind racing in those common cars, GTR, STD, TBO - but its when the tracks are always long, straight, wide ones. Aston National, Aston National, Aston National is all I ever see on the list. On popular servers like FM Fox, there's only like 3 tracks I've ever seen on there, AS3, WE1, FE2. I love FE2, its probably my favourite track in the game, but the others are just wide open bland. Fair enough it might provide some good pick up and play racing for the masses, and you can get some decent races and battles on those tracks, but there's just no variety. What happened to tracks like SO2, FE1, FE4, the fun twisty tracks.
Someone needs to make a random combo server, the server chooses a track/car from the whole list, puts them together and you do 5 or so races on that combo, then it swaps. You've got ultimate variety, because the chances of you landing on FXR/AS3, are low.
Skullcandy are just the "cool" ones that people wear and pretend not to be nerds.
I use Steelseries Siberia's, they're better than anything I've tried before but I've yet to try any of the Sennheiser range, I guess that must be my next purchase.
After all this IR talk I couldn't help but get mine out again, I've done a few shots and i'm uploading them now.
I took a picture of a bright green screen, then set that as the white balance - was that right? Or did I need to do it brown. Or didn't I need to do it at all?
I bought an IR filter a while ago, tried it once and it was tripe - all I got was the filter reflecting the front of the lens, so all I got was a big red mess.
Maybe if you used quotes in your posts I would be able to understand the context a bit better.
I also hate the way you call me a fanboy, just because I disagree with a few of the things you say? LFS isn't perfect, and there are many many bugs - quite a few of which I've posted about on this forum before, so in no way an I a fanboy.
What I don't like about what your saying, is that your making it out as if drifting is impossible with 36 degrees of lock. The hidden potential of the oversteer physics isn't being wasted at all, its just increasing more lock will make it different.
As I said, I used to be a drifter, and I'd love more lock on the cars to have more fun with, but Scawen doesn't usually change things as the community request them, he's said before that its his and the other developers game, not the communities.
I think if you see me as a fanboy, then all you are seeing is just me being in doubt that he would actually change a simple thing like this.
They won't lose money, people aren't going to sell the game just because he doesn't increase the lock, and the demo drifters are more likely gonna buy the game so they can have more than 1 car and 1 track.
Also, they're not putting their game to waste just because they aren't increasing the steering lock - I don't see how you can possibly come to that conclusion?
Oh by the way - I'm pretty sure that the Scirocco test patch will be out tomorrow, I'm going on holiday on Saturday and the McIntyre curse seems to be that everything brilliant happens just before I can't access it for a week or two.
Even though I used to be a long time drifter I still don't think that more lock is needed. Sure, it would be better for drifters, but thats it really. In a racing situation other than catching a slide you won't need more than the lock we already have - and I think if you need more lock than we already have to catch slides when racing your not doing it right.
Would you not rather Scawen concentrated his time more on fixing the big issues with the game, such as tyre heat, the bouncy red barriers and buggy walls all over every track. And you should know by now that simply changing some values isn't Scawen's way of doing things, even though there are a lot of bugs that could be fixed simply and quickly he just doesn't really get round to it.
Is that a stock road car, though? its like your trying to argue that the stock XRT needs adjustable downforce, just because the XRR has adjustable downforce? Its the same principle, unless I completely have misunderstood what your trying to say.
Jesus not that AS2 dribble. Fair enough its a decent combo but its been warn out far too much.
FE2 is a great track with enough passing opportunities - we raced it in the TBO cup on sunday and it was a brilliant track!
If you choose boring wide long straighted tracks for every round its just crap, one of the reasons I showed interest in this league was because of the track list.
The schedule is fine as it is, having 3/6 rounds at Aston just makes the whole thing crap - probably because I despise Aston as being a boring track.
