I think you missunderstood what I was getting at. Becky knew what I meant and has obviously a similar vision for a while.
I wasn't talking about comparing the servers.
You asked what happened to the SR servers? I think LR happened to them. SR has points being reset every month while LR keeps the points going. Just my opinion, I could be way out.
Say what you like about the racing being the most important, people like to collect points, they like to see that they are gaining something over time, me included.
My thoughts are that SR could carry on their monthly points thing but also every point you earn at SR could count towards your "career" points. This way "points collectors" would have more choice of where to drive. Same could work for the Driving standards and bans etc. Get banned from one, get banned from them all.
I'm not saying any of this is easy to implement, it's just an idea. What I am also NOT saying is they would have to become the same.
Have you passed your resume out to every store and business around your area?
I couldn't agree with this more. Both me and my wife to be have our current jobs because we sent out cv's with covering letters to the type of business we wanted a job in asking to be considered if a vacancy comes up.
And no I never noticed the streaming? chat things.
Yet earlier you wrote
if you were in the server at the time you probably saw me ask what's revenge wrecking right before I got banned
Whats that I can smell?
Short bans are handed out to give people time to reflect on their actions and come back with a better attitude. Personally, after your weak excuses I would extend your ban as it is plain that you are unable to do that. Luckily for you I have nothing to do with [SR]
New to lfs? 20 months, you consider to be new? Or did you first get the demo 20 months ago and only recently came back and bought an s2 licence?
I wasn't aware of the website/forum and the ability to report people
So you noticed the chat in the top left, you even know how to add to the chat in the top left but you failed to spot the reminder of where to go to report people which appears frequently in a different colour!. Pull the other one.
About the crashers: that's why I really don't approve of the destruction derby server. It's practically a crasher factory even if I try to tell myself that crashers will have their fun there and will leave "serious" servers/racers in peace.
There will always be people who want to spoil other peoples fun in life. Crashers in lfs, bullys in a school playground ruining smaller kids games, etc. The fact that there is a destruction derby server will not encourage or discourage this behaviour in my opinion.
It is a place that people can go where they don't have to be serious. Personally I like to log in there when I've had a drink or 2 so that I don't have to worry about my poor driving ruining other drivers races.
People who wish to spoil other's fun will not bother with the DD servers because their actions will not get the desired result.
You sure you're poor? It is annoying listening to people bragging about how much money they have got but it's also annoying listening to people go on about how poor they are.
You have a computer right? an internet connection? a food supply that provides you with the energy to keep posting on this forum at the rate that you do?
Just because you don't have enough money to buy all the things you want does not make you poor.
I'm sure there are plenty of other people financially worse off
Being rich or poor is a relative term and only opinion. To turn around what you said I'm sure there are plenty of people financially better off. It just depends where you look. Neither you or S14 is wrong.
Hi Jatko
I was on the NDR server tonight and yes it was pretty crazy - at least at the back, where I usually am.
The following is for everyone that complains about "noobs" at the back and not just the poster I have quoted.
Personally I have had the most fun on this server starting from the back. If I move my way up the grid to what seems to be my average placing (around 10th) I find I'm racing on my own most of the time trying to catch up the next guy. If I start from the back (or drive slowly to one side at the start as I haven't sussed how to start at the back yet) I have a much more fun race.
Yes you get knocked about a bit, sometimes off, but I just take that as a challenge to get back up to a similar position before the end of the race.
In my opinion, most of the drivers at the back are just as good sportsman (trying to stay clean) as the guys at the front, they are just not as good and consistant so more mistakes are made.
Personally I don't understand the blue flag messages. Why is someone who is ignoring a massive "Blue Flag" message, which is displayed just above your line of sight for the track, going to pay attention to someones small blue flag text in the top right of the screen?
So you provoke users on this site to give you a negative reaction and then say "oh look at the negative reation I got"
You've proved that if you poke a large group of people some of them will bite your finger off. Go you! That's a simple fact of life mate. If you didn't know this fact then you are either very young or have had a very sheltered life. There are some nasty people out there, the trick is avoiding them.
BTW: In some cars you CAN feel the bite point through the pedal. Depends on the car.
In the world of modern over damped and power assist everything cars all you feel through most of the controls is mush. You have to use G feel to tell you want is going on. Drive an old car like an Mini where you are directly connected to what you control and you will understand
Being nearly 40 I have driven a fair few old cars with both cable and hydraulic clutch mechanisms, including many minis, and I don't remember feeling the clutch bite in the pedal but maybe my feet arn't as sensitive as yours. What exactly does it feel like?
All manual cars have a "bite point". How else are you going to do a hill start for example? Do you not hold the hand brake up, increase revs slightly, slowly lift your foot off the clutch untill you feel the car trying to pull forward (bite point) then in one combined motion, increase revs, let clutch pedal out fully and release the handbrake?
I agree you don't feel this in your pedals when driving a real car, you feel it in your ass but then he'd have to wish for a force feedback seat!
I've noticed too, the question is, do you still get the points due? I've never been able to tell because I don't keep that close an eye on my total points since reaching gold.
I don't know if this has been reported here before but last night on UF-BR server on AS3R track we were getting lots of yellows when on track at race speed. Similar to the BL1R thing.
