Bit harsh that he gets a ban for a clumsy misjudgement while Maldonado has deliberately taken swipes at other cars twice in the last couple of seasons and hasn't been banned. Even if it is a ban with his various other turn one crashes in mind.

Who's the Lotus reserve driver? D'Ambrosio?

Personally, rotting for the rest of my life in a jail cell would be a far worse punishment than having the easy way out and being executed.

Excellent bit of business by Arsenal IMO - £24m for a notoriously injury prone player past his peak in the last year of his contract. He would've left for free at the end of the season, and it just would've been constant speculation all season long

Quote from CSF :It's a little tiring listening to EJ and the BBC talk about how bad a car Alonso is driving. It's been clear since Bahrain/Spain time that it's either been the fastest or 2nd fastest in every race. Even Massa has had good pace, but kept cocking up.

The Ferrari has clearly never been the fastest car at any point in this season. An argument could be made for it being 2nd fastest in the last few races, but there has always been at least one car faster than it

Quote from BlueFlame :If that's the attitude you think drivers should take, maybe they shouldn't bother turn up, I mean, why risk it? If you don't defend 2nd, soon you're gonna find yourself in 3rd,and if you don't defend 3rd you're gonna end up in 4th. Do you not see this?

A race is a race, it's about beating the other drivers around you and ultimately everyone on track. Hamilton was legitimately holding and defending.

Do you realise that there's something called a "World Championship"? There isn't just one race, there are lots of them and drivers get points for their finishing positions in each one. Then at the end of the season when they're all finished they get totalled up and the one with the most points wins.

But seriously, Hamilton had destroyed his tyres and was a sitting duck. His choice was between picking up points for finishing 4th, 5th, 6th, or crashing out and ending up with nothing - because, yes, it's a fair assumption that Maldonado will put on his knuckle duster and fight dirty (the actual incident being completely Maldonado's fault). He chose the all or nothing approach and ended up with nothing. But so too did Maldonado - he was equally stupid as he could have just waited a few corners and breezed past.

Quote from Hyperactive :Getting rid of Senna was good. Replacing him with Schumi did not really help though.

Heh, I did exactly the same, swapped Senna for Schumi.. surely he must finish a race sometime

Quote from ATC Quicksilver :I want this game, but the always online DRM totally puts me off. I don't have 3 friends with enough spare time to waste to play this game co-op, so I would be playing it mainly on single player. The fact that I would have to que to join a ****ing server just to play single player is retarded, I know why they did it, but it's just plain stupid not to have an offline option.

To be fair, there are no queues. Launch day was a pain but since then it's been smooth.

On balance I'm happy it's 100% online - makes it MUCH easier to control the hacking and duping that plagued D2. And once this initial crush is over in a couple of days it'll be fine.

Generally liking it so far - only tried the Barbarian, up to level 14

Quote from Juzaa :http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/99102

''The stewards looked into the matter and decided that because Rosberg had moved to the right to defend his position in a 'constant and continuous straight line manner' and because Hamilton was not alongside Rosberg as he began that move that the German did nothing wrong.''

''Rosberg was cleared for his incident with Alonso for the same reasons.''

That's true for the Hamilton one, but the Alonso one was worse - Alonso was already alongside when Rosberg started moving to barge him off the track. Alonso was forced off, Hamilton decided to go off.

I picked John Love, my logic was that if you assume the person/people who run the game aren't F1 geniuses who've devoted 60 years of their life to analysing every statistic and are just fans like us, then they'd be working off the same info we are - which is info from the internet. Most likely completely incorrect info but hey, that's the info they used to write the question, and the info said that John Love was 4'9". But yeah, it's bullshit and they should just give everyone the bonus money.

Quote from BlueFlame :It's not an idiotic case at all. Just because it's different to the masses doesn't make it idiotic.

How do you support your friends in need? Just **** off and leave them to sort it out? No, you give them economic support. Which is what the F1 event does.

Abandoning the event just shows that the rest of the world don't care about Bahrain and their problems, being there shows support by F1 saying (what ever happens to you Bahrain, we respect you enough to keep coming back anyway).

Not bothering to turn up just makes things worse from a diplomatic point of view.

Support for who? You have it the wrong way around - going there shows F1 doesn't care about what's going on. The race is run and paid for in full by the Bahraini government. F1 racing in Bahrain means F1 supports the government.
