I don't know, in theory they might just work on it too, but if it's not the case, use the previous version, and get the PostProcess.psh from the latest version
Actually, volumetric fog is applied on the world shader, so it works without post-process, but since I based my shader off Keiichi's linear color space correction, it needs the post-process to be right.
Like Dave said, please stop trying to make this forum North Korea. Some are expressing themselves normally, and it has been a while since the last activity on the forum. Let them vent, it won't change anything after all. They'll probably realise that it's of their free paradise, and those who don't want to accept to buy a license or play on DEMO will just leave, and everything will return calmly, but with the reasonables users staying with us.
I do understand that some are, but there are a lot of people that crack the game simply following the logic of "if I can have it for free, why would I pay?". I saw people having way higher end computer than me (and I'm supposed to be in a rich country and have an income, and I can say that my computer is pretty decent), but still, their they just don't want to buy their license, because they can have it for free.
LFS has a considerable advantage over other games, the licensing system. S1 is already a good amount of content for not much, and you can play on many servers actually. Every one interested in the full content can just start by buying the S1, enjoying it while saving some cash to upgrade to S2 later and S3 after that.
I don't get what's hard about that when you got an income and have money to spend on entertainment.
Licenses are permanent, I bought mine in 2009 and I only paid again for the S3 when it was released, while many other games are asking 60$ for yearly updates (sports games for example) and no one cares.
My disrespect with cracked user comes from their disrespect to show off their cracked LFS on the forum. As a game developer myself, there is simply no way I can accept that.
I personally agree with that, we are all gamers, and LFS players, which is definitely not that common nowadays, and I welcome every player here, except the ones that believe that everything can be given for free, and can't get on their mind that the only options are using DEMO, buying a license or simply don't play at all.
Crack AAA if you want, they can amortise the cost of it and defend themselves (there is a limit there too, if you enjoy the game, buy it when you can afford it, that's the least you can do), but damn, have a little respect for indie devs !
You know something is f*cked up when the majority of the community is actually playing on a pirated version.
All of this make me think that the times where cracked LFS meant S2 on singleplayer and DEMO on multiplayer weren't that bad after all...
Start by buying a S1, and upgrade later to S2 or S3. Problem solved. I know it's relatively expensive for your incoming wage, but lowering the price for a certain region always create problems and flaws that people will exploit to buy their game at lower price (for example I bought GTA V at launch for 27€ instead of 60€, by buying it on Nuuvem), so I don't think the developers could afford that.
This. Seriously, I've played for years on DEMO, and if I had a low wage, I'd start by buying a S1 license, then S2 when I can, and finally S3, since there is possibility to buy the game in multiple packages for the same price of the full content.
Changelog:
- Added support for 0.6Q3
- Added vignetting post-process effect
- Tweaked post-process S-curve to give brighter colors
- Added configuration to PostProcess.psh
Notes:
I recommend disabling dynamic tree as they seriously ruin the landscape (because they don't use the same fog method, I haven't figured out how to do that, at this point I'm nearly sure it's not fixable)
I tried to remove that line, and it still doesn't work.
I've made my own investigations too, and I think it's related to the latest Windows Insider build. Nearly every DirectX 9 game I have now crashes, except GTA San Andreas (actually it sometimes crashes at start) and my own DX9 renderer, for no apparent reasons. I think I'll just reinstall Windows 10 without insider builds, I'm getting tired of theses bullshits, it's not the first time that they broke DX9 like that, but the previous time, my renderer didn't worked, and it was one of the reasons I upgraded my engine to DX11 (maybe it's their plan lol, knowing them...).
Sorry for wasting your time with this, should have seen that before (LFS is one of the few DX9 game I still play actually).
Thanks for the update Scawen, but for the first time ever, my LFS install crashes. And I can't find why. I tried removing ReShade and LFS Lazy, no changes.
Here's my deb.log:
BTW: "end of initialisation" isn't true since "init sound" is done just after
You're welcome
You need to use the CarToShadow.psh, CarToShadow.vsh, ShadowToWorld.psh and ShadowToWorld.wsh from Scawen (which are in the update). I shouldn't have exported mines since I haven't modified them.
EDIT: Sorry, I posted a fix that didn't worked (for my defense, LFS crashes on start on my desktop), I just tried it on my laptop.
I suggest for people using my shaders to revert to the default one (linked in attachements) and wait for and updated version of the shaders (it won't be this week though, too much work to do, sorry).
Very soon, no, but they are on the tracks for good this time IMO. He's currently refactoring the physics to fix the flaw and make compromises compared to reality in order to have them working right quickly, because, as he said, he understood that he can't match the reality, and that's the point of a simulation, you have to do compromises.
We haven't got updates on how's it's going since the last time he explained us what's his plan, so I waiting for a progress report before assuming things further.
