Quote from menantoll :I've just been practicing pit stops and now I have a question.

How strict are you going to be on pit entry?

Time can be gained and lost here with wheels on and off the grass. Will we have to keep all wheels within the yellow lines or will it be the usual 2 wheels?

We'll decide something and let everyone know in the drivers briefing.

1 is also not avaliable :P. I mentioned this in the OP, but didn't explain. It's planning in advance for if we have a second season, the champion alone can take 1 (1, 01, 001, whichever s/he prefers).

Points standings can be found here.

The Scrappy Standards League had it's inaugural race on the twisting circuit of South City Long (SO4). With relatively few issues drivers were able to sort out their positions with raw pace and racecraft. Magnus Björndal, racing for liveforspee.se, has cemented himself as the man to beat with his flawless weekend at the City. Other MoE drivers such as facepalm Team's Egon Liibeon and Reno Kööts, as well as Conquest Racing's Łukasz Małecki also showed off their pace and overtaking skills. While the sprint race was relatively clean, the feature race ended with a sour note for a few drivers and resulted in a few general warnings to keep the racing clean and fair.

Magnus Björndal started his perfect weekend with a dominant qualifying position. A few drivers set new personal bests in qualifying, but none with such good results as Something Awful Racing's own Randy Young, who secured his spot on the front row.

Magnus continued his weekend by winning the sprint race having led from lights to flag, accompanied on the podium by two other MoE drivers.

The feature race saw the top 8 positions reverse order, with Patryk Kołtowski keeping his lead for four laps until Magnus caught and overtook him. This race had a few more bumps and bruises than the sprint race, and ended with two drivers running out of fuel on the final lap, eventually finishing 4 minutes after the leaders.

  • Warning issued to 08 R.Radu for rough contact with multiple cars at 45 seconds
  • Warning issued to 99 R.Kööts for causing multiple avoidable incidents
    • Rough contact with 02 at 55 seconds
    • Gaining a position by force over 26 at 14 minutes 35 seconds
    • Spinning 47 at 19 minutes 50 seconds
    • Contact with 47 leading to 87 being spun as well at 39 minutes 5 seconds
  • Warning issued to 47 C.Wilkinson for rough contact
    • Moving for a closed gap leading to loss of positions for 71 at 36 minutes 40 seconds
    • Late braking leading to contact with 87 at 39 minutes 5 seconds
  • Warning issued to 66 S.Hutchinson for rough contact leading to a spin with 99 at 20 minutes 30 seconds

In the garage on the left you can put fuel in and the weight in the "Info" tab on the bottom will take this into account.

The fuel in LFS is freakin retarded though, it always seems to round down. If you spectate someone who runs out of fuel, you'll hear their engine die before they actually run out of fuel because the fuel percentage rounded down to the nearest 1/10th (0.0, instead of 0.04%). Seems like the same thing happens with fuel calculations.

If you type /w f on track it'll give you your actual fuel consumption to the nearest 1/100th instead of 1/10th. Use that instead, but I personally always take that then add 2% to be absolutely safe.

Quote from pearcy_2k7 :Wait, so you got 3 DT's, started 26th and still won? Who were you racing? AI's?

Well 2 of the DTs were before a SC. They still mattered sure, but a lot of what they lost was wiped away.

Quote from Mustangman759 :eastern daylight?if so yes

EST, which stands for Eastern Standard Time, is fixed at GMT-5.

EDT, which stands for Eastern Daylight Time, is fixed at GMT-4.

Right now it is 6:30 PM EST and 7:30 PM EDT. No one on gods green Earth would say that it is 6:30 PM right now on America's east coast. What you most likely mean is that qualifying starts at 3:30 PM EDT.

MoMo92i, this translates to 1930 UTC.

I'll do it and I think everyone who attended SSL's first event last night will agree that sa| knows how to organize a league.

I'll do it for free too. No safety cars and everyone gets a sticker (though some may be offensive if you're a twat).

Quote from Alec01 :You missed my point bud but I think I know what you are getting at.

Obviously not everyone on here is a silly little dork

Oh believe me I know you were saying that the forums are filled with immature people of all ages. My point is that the more mature people probably/usually stay out because of all the filth.

Quote from Alec01 :Jeez that old? To look at most of the threads you would think everyone on here was an angry little teen or something.

Two things to think about:

The most vocal group is not necessarily the majority.

LFS has been around for the better part of a decade. People who started playing as teenagers are now in their 20s (myself included, I was 19 in December of 2006, though obviously that's not the best example).

Quote from Wilko868 :It was. Seb's fault though.

I found out in LLWS that Seb is pretty much the worst at thinking about fuel during a race. I think he finished with like >50% fuel one time.

Quote from PMD9409 :If it stays around.

Assuming it doesn't collapse due to negligence from the admins the top GTAL guys will do MoE and a new crop of noobs will take their place in GTAL. It may not have the same faces but I don't see why that means it'll die.

Small oversight, we obviously need to know what session a protest is about so:
  • 10.3.2 - Session (Qualifying, Sprint Race, Feature Race)
Rule 10.3.2 will be applied immediately.

(UKMANUK) and my LFSei went from like 301 to 292.9... 2nd time its been reset

Happened to me once too. I figured out it was that my hotlap section wasn't being counted. I can only assume the server hiccuped when it was retrieving that.

I'm glad people seem to have enjoyed it. Was definitely a success in my book, having 20 start on the grids. I may not have done so well but that's quite better than me doing well because only 6 people show up.

Also I moved a few posts because this is the event thread
