Try to remember that s1 drivers paid so that they can have more than demo drivers. To thin down s1 would be to take away some of what they paid for. It would be like sky cutting down your channels but charging you the same fee. I say leave s1 as it is and improve demo a little. The only other option would be to not let anyone else buy s1 and give the existing s1 drivers an upgrade to s2. You just can't sell something and then take it back or even a part of it.

funny thing, tonight I was sent a setup that allows the xrg to do over 100 in reverse, I wasn't that impressed. I was also told you cold make the FBM do nearly 250mph with tweek, however, it will get you banned. Well let these idiots get banned, the sooner it happens is the better for the rest of us.

Are all us demo drivers going to be tared with the same brush? I have no intent on cheating, cracking, hacking or any other exploits. I simply come here for a game which I can't really afford.

Oh spiderbait, my ears burn.... you must be talking about me? I scrape the penny's together just so I can put food on the table, would love s2 but will settle for s1 if and when it becomes an option. There is no point in getting rid of it, some people have already paid for it and I don't think they would be amused if they had paid a subscription to something that's not going to be about for much longer.

Have you considered moving your computer to another part of your house? It could be some other equipment in close range is causing this problem. I reciently (about two days ago) installed a new sound card because I was getting strange noises from my speakers, the problem is now fixed!!!

As the problem is the sound of music, I actualy think you should investigate into what equipment is being used in your area and look at processes running in the background on your system. Could you have one of those annoying local bedroom DJ's? Or someone with a home studio? Pirate radio?

After reading this thread I had a bit of inspiration that could help FiXeR_nl with his request. A few years ago I purchased a joystick with auto fire. On the back of this joystick was a dial to set the speed of the auto fire. I have today dug out this joystick and plugged it in. I have tried to see the auto fire at the throttle and tune it to hold an accurate speed. It does work to some extent, the acceleration either climbs very slowly or drops very slowly. It will not hold a consistant speed, however I think its the closest your going to find to what you want. The only advice I can offer is.... go and have a good look around the joysticks and joypads avalible and see if any of them have a simalar system where you can set the autofire speed.

Another bit of advice, get that wall brick you have been talking about and chew on it for a while.

You kind of contradict your self there. What you consider cheap and what I consider cheap must be two different things, I remember it costing me about 500 per season and that would be without racing fees, that was just the (cheaper option) bangers. Now on to the rally, that racked me up in the thousands and I only ever had one car! Having done karting myself I have to ask, are you so rich you didn't notice the cost difference between a touring car and a kart? Really, get real! Where did you try these? On your ps2?

I used to race a little... if you consider banger racing at ringwood as racing, or mashing up a sierra at sunseeker rally as taking part. Did try a few karting comps too, in reality it hurts the pocket more than its worth and thats why I have only tried a few times. If money grew on trees I would with great pleasure spend the rest of my life making a mess on the tracks. I guess I found scaletrix to be cheaper, add a cat and it actualy becomes entertaining, split the track, solder some connections and make a jump! Now you turn it into an art. Really, if you want to race, dig deep or find some very friendly joy riders!

Pull my mouse far away so that the signal cuts out, its kind of like having cruise control. Swig on a bottle of wine as it saves washing a glass, push the cat off my lap, re-light my Rollie and manage to flick ash slickly over my keyboard. If I have time I pop of the room to look for cheap flights on teletext, hang out the washing, polish the car, vacuum the living room and cook dinner..... I know you don't believe me! I do it all just after I pop into the phone box and put on my superman outfit.

Yeah, the truth is... I just watch the screen like every other lfs addict here!

As for the 2600 and Pong system, I thought of these more as consoles, as much as they are computers so is a calculator or digital wrist watch. Tanks on the 2600 was amazing, I forgot about the glory of these old antique's. Oh I wish I could of had earlier PC's, however, I was younger and in no position to buy a computer then, I was just lucky to be working for wang when they went to the wall. Call me what you want for this, I will admit that when the offices got cleared out I became a skip raider! who wouldn't? It proved to be very beneficial as I gained 2 computer, a laser printer the size of a small car, a number of old toner cartridges and a laser(about 1ft long and 2inch in diameter). Anyone remember those massive laser printers? I had to remove windows to get it into my home!

Christ, what was there before the personal computer? anyone remember the GEM desktop? or even better yet, the old BBC? that was my first computer! kiss goodbye to DVD's and CD's, in those days people would of been asking "what the hell is an os?" and "What's a rom do?" My first PC was a 286, half the world wouldn't have a clue what a 286 is. I had it before the recession of the early 90's and got it because (thank god) wang went into chapter 11 and IBM lost its primary competition!

I watched Death Race a few nights ago, It was a very tall story but I still enjoyed it. There is nothing wrong with a film being way over the top, its supposed to entertain and if your entertained the film has done what its supposed to do. I think documentaries are meant to be taken seriously, try one of those if serious is what you want! I can recommend the discovery channel!
