Anyone like that thermal imaging shot of Rosberg's car in the pits? Was pretty interesting to see I thought. Used tires were pretty hot, but damn those tire blankets for the fresh set were just as warm, I never would've thought that'd be the case. And then to see the ground get all hot as he spun the tires leaving the pitbox, really neat.
Too nice to be a simulator in my opinion. Looks a lot like the cgi rendered videos demonstrating the track layout, there are tons of them made for each venue.
They've been hyping their racing games for the past like 8 years as "realistic", and have failed (as said before) on everything after CMR2.
I don't know who it is, but someone that codes the driving physics just LOVES to make this weird tow-hitch-and-trailer style yaw action when the car slides with uber high sensitivity, grip, and braking. That guy must be head/project lead of any racing game they make, I swear.... they've all felt the same, and progressively becoming worse each time.
I know a girl that just bought one, fun car. Also someone else I know bought a Mazda 3 Mazdaspeed, and it is a quick one.
But I can vouch for Honda/Acura cars being more reliable for long term, and cheaper to maintain. That is why so many people have them. I'd say Honda and Toyota are top choices in the US, tough decision .
Gonna see a lot of Mazdas next weekend at Laguna Seca too
lol I wonder how any Super Aguri owners are going to be affected :o
BTW, I know this might reveal something about the bonus question, but the first day it was up this answer USED TO read this:
However, I thought that was odd, because grooved tires indeed made the cars slower, right? I don't think the author of the question knew what lower/higher laptimes meant.
More people are on Xbox LIVE than the Playstation, and I bought the 360 just to play GTA... Playing at my friends first to try it online was enough to lure me into buying a 360, it was that fun.
Got this game yesterday, and haven't even bothered with the singleplayer because multiplayer is so much fun. Co-op modes and all kinds of stuff you can do... never had this much fun in a game online.
I think the MRT5 is. Mainly because all fast MRT5 setups are made with loads of understeer, and if you make a setup that turns harder, the thing is so squirrelly and sensitive to bumps. It may not seem so hard on big wide tracks, but I think the MRT is definitely the hardest in terms of control.
Friend of mine has both the PS3 and XBox 360. I go to play at his place A LOT and he has plenty of good titles for both consoles. However, every friend of mine (including himself) agrees that the PS3 is very rarely played. It really seems worthless in many respects. About the only time we actively use it is to watch Blu-Ray movies.
He has a very professional setup, much like a small home theatre... with 110" of display using an expensive HD Projector, all hooked up with HDMI. So concerning quality of both consoles, both are pretty much exactly the same. However for ease of use and ability to get friends playing when they come over, the Xbox 360 wins outright. The PS3 is lame, and Blu-Ray movies are nothing to scream an orgasm about, it is just a better viewing experience if you have a massive screen. I still get pleasure out of watching normal DVDs on an average TV, so what gives? You gotta have a lot of cash to throw around to make Blu-Ray worthwhile.
Go with the XBox 360. We have GTA IV ordered, and I am sure it will be a blast to play. Forza 2 is good fun, Rockband, Army of Two is fun for Co-op play, Worms to play with friends is also fun.
Oh and Bladey, if the ladies are asking for a Wii, they will love it a whole lot more than any other console, I guarantee that.
I've been doing pretty good the last few races. Got a lot of points this time around (526), and ALMOST got all my bets correct
No matter how much free cash I've won, I am still pretty much useless in choosing what I can buy. I still really only have about 10-12k on average each round, and that still isn't enough to bump up my engine choice or anything really.
XRR clearly, because you have to push it so hard in a way that is not normal for any other car. Not very many people are fast in the XRR either.
FZR is easy to be quick in. FXR is not so easy to be quick in, but it is still in a class of its own, and has to be pushed even harder than the XRR too.
I care for such issues, but not for horrible sounding 'music' that has to address them. Because I guarantee you that when a majority of people listen to them, they do NOT like them for what they are talking about... only for how they sound. That is what my point was. Their music sounds horrible, and if you want someone to understand issues like that, you can find much better sources than SOAD.
It is not metal at all. Infact is is very crap music, I have never liked System of a Down, their songs just annoy the hell out of me... mainly because of the singer. Their music gets old fast. There are way better groups than these guys that are 'pure' metal. And I am a big fan of Metal and some Hardcore music, System of a Down is a genre for stupidity that doesn't sound like music at all.
