With driving at your desk, everyone's arms are usually lower than the screen, and most people prefer to have 3D arms and wheel visible in the cockpit. I do, and especially when spectating so I can see someone's arm movements. Unless I have a full blown cockpit, and my arms are directly in front of the screen, then I have every reason to disable the wheel and arms, if not the whole dash entirely. But because of my setup which most of us all typically have (wheel on desk), I think it is perfectly fine for a game to have a 3D set of hands/arms and a wheel... matter of fact, a lot of driving games need to show them by default, or else you get into the whole 'this game is sooo 90's era' where you don't have any arms at all.
We wouldn't be complaining about the wheel covering the gear number in the first place if is wasn't for Scawen and Eric being so damn slow in making a proper dash cluster and cockpits in practically every car. Not to mention the driver models from an old Sega fighting game.
But can't blame them for doing what most other people do by searching for something along the lines of "speed logo" on Google Image Search: http://images.google.com/image ... UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi It's on the first page of results right there
An MR XF would just be absurd in my opinion. The car looks way too dated to be a nice MR machine like the Clio's and VWs that are specially made. You need a much more modern hatchback to make a nice MR setup.
On top of that, I don't think it would be on the level of competition of the GTRs for various reasons. Power output versus the weight of the little car would throw everything off versus the bigger GTRs. On top of that, the wheel sizes on the GTRs are HUGE, and the grip of this little "XF V8" car would in no way match the GTRs because it would need to use much smaller diameter wheels, and narrower width. Then you get into the question of it having a proper aero package, and not all hatchbacks look good with a huge rear wing, and I know the XF would definitely look horrible.
Uhhh, small onboard cameras are usually very heavily saturated, and the weather at that track is mostly overcast. The purpose of that video is to show the accuracy of the track, not the color
Well you are analyzing the video far too closely, when the actual message is quite clear and right in front of you........ Hell, even cartoons are used for PSA's... and those don't have to be 'realistic'.
So being negligent and driving like a complete dumbass in general has nothing to do with fast cars, speeding, accidents, and people losing their lives? You really shined a whole lot of light on this subject
That's funny, the hills it was driving on is right in my backyard!!!
It is pretty wet over here at the moment, but those windy hills are like my version of The Ring, and lots of sportscars and motorcycles go up there and drive pretty fast .
Strange though, I saw this very same Tesla on the road nearby my house about 3-4 months ago, I don't know why they are testing it now
Good video. The cameras and coverage added with commentary make this one of the best videos of a race I've seen. It's the kind of footage and quality I had hoped to see STCC achieve, but it never happened. So thumbs up for this Krani and Vykos
Don't be such a fool . You have no idea how many people don't want yet another Aston config. So don't count me out, since there are many reasons why people don't want to beat that dead-horse of a track even more.
You probably would've understood my post a little better provided that YOU SEARCHED THE GOD DAMNED FORUM FOR DOZENS OF OTHER THREADS JUST LIKE THIS.
The ONLY tracks I want now (that are based off original LFS tracks) are the super-long Kyoto configuration, and this 'extra long' South City track people are speculating.
PLEASE, no more Aston configs. That track is becoming such a boring venue because it is squeezing out so many more boring configurations like a soggy rag.
Other than this... actual new track environments is what LFS really needs. Holding a league and visiting a track venue more than twice in a season is just stupid. We need more variety... and we need to stop choosing between all these configurations. Tracks like Westhill and Blackwood are perfect examples of ONE confguration tracks that LFS needs. If we had lots more choices of one configuration tracks like those, we wouldn't be posting threads like this.
The only question I have is if this is truly a month by month payment plan, or if they are just using it as a marketing scheme to make the price seem cheaper. Example being... "if you buy for 6 months, it's only $15 a month!!! and a year only costs $13 a month!!!, wow!!"... But are you signing on to some kind of contract that you pay $13 for a month, or do you have to pay the full one-time fee of $156 (which is not fully noted in the news article) and have the license last a year. A full fee is what I'd think they are going to do, because it is common with many other software packages you buy online.
That said, I would probably choose to pay annually by each month, because $13 a month is so little compared to how much I earn in one hour for my job. Though I forsee problems would arise if they did such payment plans, because people would be required to pay on time, and there could be financial issues with customers. No matter what, I'd hate to bite the bullet and pay the full fee in one go because A) I might not be fully devoted to the game like I first thought I would be when I purhcased it, and B) Being a smart buyer, I would never pay over $100 (even $80) for a video game, without a sample demo that has me 200% impressed.
For what its worth, the game better be good enough to persuade anyone into paying such an amount. Because that is a VERY tough decision to make without a demo.
The break in the highlights from the shadow of the side mirrors still doesn't look right in my opinion. It is an obvious spotlight on the car, and not what natural sunglight would show.
Viper, one's own ambition to "realize his dream" could also be judged by his strong persistence and interest, no matter how many chances he might have missed... he would love to be given the opportunity, even if it requires being a bit more pushy to have another chance. That kind of determination fits the bill for a typical race driver in my opinion . Go easy on him.
If you really want to label narcissist hotshots, talk to fighter pilots
Fancy DX9 effects don't do wonders in sims. However I wouldn't mind extra special effects, and more detail to the cars overall. The tracks look quite alright though.
