well keithano, the biggest difference is the join date in ur profile, to those who answered positively to your question. Up to 4 years (O M F G) could make a little difference
a lot of buddies and some real friends. Some invited me to their marriage (where another LFS guy from far away was best-man ), some to their birthdays and with a lot of them I partied hard :P LFS definitely widened my circle of friends and added a lot of buddies. It's just different to your oldschool friends, cause with them you cant spend night after night drinking and talking petrol :P
Yes, DaHoe got it right. So again some infos on the qualifying:
How to qualify for this league:
Two fast laps - one on each combination - are summed up to give your qualifying time. The best 40 will then be invited for the league. You have to sign up for it anyway. Link is at the bottom of the news.
If you are in, in between the races: For every race, you will have to do one fast lap (out of 20 again) on our servers to qualify for the Grid (LFS endu kind of style, remember? ). The drivers then will be put into the Grids by this.
Why we start that early already: We plan to broadcast several of the Races LIVE, and the schedule needed it that way.
well, I might quote (again) BMW F1 Testdriver Timo Glock: "Wow, that really gets close to the real thing, I wanna play with the setups" after playing LFS. And honestly, if no one comes up with something at least comparable by one of the 4 guys that drive a BMW F1 irl about the rf-sauber, this is the ultimate judgement atm.
Well csur, they are for sure still behind the curtains, and if they decide to become active again, I'm the last to stop them But except JeeP and OPK, who just take a small pause and race a little bit on publics, the rest didnt touch LFS for more than a year by now. Maccie is studying in denmark, Pallu is lost to MMORPGs since 2 years, Bikesy havent touched LFS for more than a year too and Lim is really busy in putting up his own gfx-design business. So, to ask honestly: Would you, when making such a move, put them on the active teams list?
yeah, place was packed always, and people waited up to 2 hours to drive in the BMW cockpits (BF1 on AS nat). As the whole last year on the intel racing tour. I actually was there a day too, but I only raced it once... against Timo Glock (current BMW F1 Testdriver, last year GP2 4th place, 2005 rookie of the year champcars)
As you can read on www.lfsnews.net, we do some kind of huge step
We celebrated this with a little showrace with BMW F1 testdriver and GP2 racer Timo Glock on the cebit in the intel Racing Tour today. He actually didnt want to stop racing LFS and is a great guy! And now it's time to go rocking some tracks.
Well, S2 is 0.5 so your first demo must have been some 0.2 or 0.3... I guess, 0.3h, if you refer to three years ago
Anyway, I got the reference to the demo after EA announced the closing of the Motorcity Online servers and I was looking for something similar 4 years ago. Someone in some forum pointed me to LFS. I did 2 offline laps and then hit the MP button... There i was, on the track, in the middle of a race and WOW, that was awesome... end of story
You ever tried the player thing in options? You can put there a lot of different players with different control settings etc. That's what I use, to let my kids drive (e.g. autogears)...
Hahahahaha, nice idea, without providing contacts, with the suggestion of a small dev team to pay money to honda etc. etc.... just rethink your idea again pls....
Best Hotlapper : Biggie, if quantity counts
Best Racer : nils
Best Team : mine
Best League : MoE. 2nd: EPS (only league with the money in it )
Best Country : Germany - as proven in statistics of amount of LFS licenses
Best Modder/Programmer : Kegetys: GhostMod, Pitspotter and momo-leds are artworks of coding
Best Hardware for LFS : A wheel and a PC definitely not a console, nor a Mac :P
