Quote from Shotglass :as if you didnt know what the devs are up to

So what? Even if I know, I still want to have that known to public!

Quote from Richard Torp :Its`s because we made the interview to mainly new or recent LFS buyers in Denmark. A lot of them doesn`t come here at the forum and has no clue about what LFS is about.
I think it was great we asked Victor about LFS World because a lot of newcomers doesn`t know about it..

But i dont know if we gonna get a new patch in april and i dont know anything about the "surprice" but i "think" we will get some information in april, thats good enough for me..

But i hope you all enjoyed the word "surprice"..

yeah, rich! That is the right way to do it. Good questions and a nice interview. Good work!

And damn, I WANT APRIL!

Quote from Batterypark :It doesn't belong to the track configuration he's SUPPOSED to be driving. Next to the developers, you're the last person I would have expected to say what you just said.

Well, first of all I'm racer, and as also written up there from silentwar:

Quote :They used to do it in F1 a long time ago at one of the french tracks. And martin brundle said they used to do it at spa when the timing line was just before eau rogue they would stay high up at la source and get a good drive down the hill.

If there is tarmac and space that helps being faster (turn 1 A1 GP e.g.), racer will use it. I might be a bit harsh in my words, but this "it's not really fair to use what is given" is not my type of competition. Especially, cause it isnt a bug.

Quote from reyco :The motivation problem is related to other simulators. For example rFactor, GTL...

So what? Go play them. You'll get an email via lfs-newsletter or read it on every interesting sim-page out there, if something new is out. Dont waste your time waiting, play some games

Quote from filur :You did note he's actually left the track / racing line by ~50 meters? I don't think it would be accepted in a real qualifying session to go 50m. off track to get a longer "straight".

Is there tarmac or is there tarmac? That part belongs to track, so stop whining.

LOL? You must be kidding, right? If there's place, racer will use it. IRL same as here. So just live with it, I consider it fine.

I just wonder how you can compare a nonexistant game (not yet) and its physics to existant LFS... And say, You hope, LFS will reach nk level... You had a time machine, or what? Lets talk about this in 3 or 4 weeks again, when nk is finally out.

I like the car-control drifters have, but the point that not the time but some "style-points" decide who wins always reminds me of ice-figure-skating and how I hate it...

Quote from _rod_ :So 5 months after the last person posted here you felt like bringing it from the dead?

Dont want to sound mean or flame you... I just dont see the need for bring it from the dead.

Sometimes, but not really often, someone comes back and tries to awake some dead piece of software...

No, with Admin-permission you can give people drive-through and stop&go penalties. If this is done in last 2 or 3 laps, you get a time penalty.

So, I doubt it was a bug, maybe you either crashed someone in lap1, turn 1 or whenever, you werent liked, the admin went nuts or and admin was playin a prank on you. Still, no nice move, to not even explain, why you got that.

Great video!! Nice cuts, cool effects. I gonna try to get contact to FnF3 producers, to make LFS official movie game No, honestly: LFS also seems to be THE Topgame, when it comes to drift. We should also promote that part of "controlling a car".

Quote from Hyperactive :I could also see that the devs might be more willing to make a such deal as they probably aren't that dedicated to LFS alone as they might have been some time ago.

That's simply not true.

Quote from thisnameistaken :Hmm. Doesn't look all that appealing tbh. I'd quite like a larger wheel but I also like having all these controls on the wheel.

Looks like I'll be spending £900 on a BRD wheel then

rumours say, VPP gets out a wheel end of this year.

Quote from Vain :I would actually appreciate it if someone bought LFS. We'd get real cars, real tracks and the progress on the engine would be much faster.

[_] you have full understanding of Sim-Development

Sorry, Vain, but it's not that simple.

Quote from inCogNito :sounds like total bulls**t

I might quote Ian Bell from 2004 GamesConvention here (chief of Blimey, former head of studio of SimBin): "Yeah, I wanted to have Scawen, Eric and Vic in the team, but their game is simply to succesful, I cant pay them"

I actually am not surprised, that SimBin looks for a better engine than that ISI-"thing" :P

OMG Scawen, I hope you buy pampers diapers and dont use THOSE as diapers. This would be the worst thing, you could do, believe me. Go buy the one time usable things, like pampers or however they are called. In the end, you'll run cheaper (water savings, time saved etc. ).

Cheers,
joe

maybe not 1), sorry, but 2.

Because they only are allowed to refuel an amount of liters depending on how many laps they did in that last 20 minutes qualifying(iic 2,7 kg/lap) before the race. So they start the last 20 minutes with amount of fuel they want to use in race. But to do a fast lap it needs less fuel in car, so they go out and do as much as possible laps to burn fuel, to get the car light. After that qualifying they are only allowed to refuel the car with the amount I said above, depending on amounts of laps done in that last 20 minutes. And for sure you try to have as much as fuel possible for the race...

Got it now?

1) Because the amount of fuel that has to be refuelled is calculate simply by amount of laps*given liters, FIA dont want fuel saving driving behaviour, that's why they should go as fast as possible there always.

2) Because FIA wants a lot of cars on track for as much time as possible, this rule was set. So they have to put in amount of racefuel, but to do a fast hotlap it needs fuelburning, so car is lighter. That leads to almost all ten cars out on the track for whole last 20 minutes => TV-stations and viewers are happy.

Quote from Scawen :Yes, it's going well. The first week went very smoothly, in fact he did a bit more crying in the second week, maybe because he realises he can control us a bit / get what he wants by shouting for it (well, most times anyway) and we get these times when Geraldine can't cook or can't eat because Leo is crying because he wants something! And wow can he cry when he's not quite comfortable!

He might need to eat or it's time for a nappy change or he's bored or sometimes he's just tired - that's a funny one, when he's kind of screaming (well not really screaming but you know this WAAA WAAA WAAA with every breath) and you just have to leave him a couple of minutes lying down and suddenly he falls asleep! But we are getting used to dealing with him, realising just how often you need to change the nappy... wow... and of course I do some more cooking which I've mainly been able to avoid in the past!

I just want to say thank you all for your nice messages, the congratulations and good wishes. It's very nice of you all...

THANKS!!!

I hope for you, that: He doesnt have huge problems with 3-months-colics, His teeths will come after first six months

Usually the first weeks are easy, but from 3rd to 4th week on, you might find out that TV shows only sh1t in the time from 2-5 am. That was the time I walked circle over circle in our living room to get my kids to sleep At that time I appreciated our huge mirror on the wall, so I could watch TV in both walking directions But on the other hand - as mentioned above - night-TV-program sucks big time, and for some movie you just dont have the patient at that time of night

Good luck with your little family, the first months are the most tireing ones. I remember a buddy coming for a visit, I was opening the door, and I must have looked terrible by the expression in his face :P
