Youre welcome, i dont have any problems with the AMD optimizer so far and never heared of anyone ever had some but heck i dont know everybody so you might be right =) Besides, which kind of monitor do you have? In case you have a CRT, V-SYNC is useless in most of all cases anyway as far as i know.

Tested this with the above spec at stock settings, and overclocked. Pc was definately not overheating when LFS locked up, and I'm running nothing like MSN / Messenger in the background, just the usual WinXP services and Blueyonders' PCGuard software ( firewall )

After reading yours and some other peoples replies i have noticed you and probably the others too have got a AMD dual processor. Maybe there is the problem but i may be wrong. Im curious if you guys have done any of the steps explained here in order to install the processor properly. In case you follow those steps, please let me know if theres any difference after it. I already did everything and im not having any problems at all with the newest patches. But as already said, it could be the reason but i might be wrong.

Yeah, i already set those sliders to a minimum as well, that was the first thing i have checked Speaking about it i think there would be a solution for me but i dont have the technical backround informations or simple the reason why its not possible to reduce those sliders to 0.0 instead of 0.5. Maybe something like 0.2 would be perfect for me. (Besides, i agree that in real life it would be quite loud, but in that case i could use some ear protection like ear muffs to reduce those sounds )

Sorry if this sounds like im moaning and i do not demand anything at all but/and i think i can imagine how difficult it can be to make it right for every single person especially for something like the sound system which will be tested at on or a few more pc's with perfect and pretty much the same results but it can sounds totally different at another system and its configuration. A good example are the engine presets, most people come along with the new standard engine sound settings, they fits not only perfect to the personalized windows & game volume settings but also to the output systems such as headphones. For people like me, who are probably in the minority, i doesn't fit at all, so we have to adjust, if we like it or not. Btw, i have set the volume in windows to 50% which gives me the best result at almost every app & game.

Ah ok, thanks for the explanation, so its not a bug at all. I never used that model so i didn't know that

Edit: As for the newest patch V5, i dont see any reason to for this: "Wind and skid volumes are 33% louder for all settings", because people have got a slider to adjust that. Since i basicly run the oval this sound is really far to loud for me, even if all my sliders except for the "car sound volume" are set to zero So i wish you could find a different way for this and for the rest of the patch, i do like the other improvements as usual

Hello again, i just tried the replay again (with V4) which contains this "bug" and its still there. This time ill post the replay so you can have a look at it. I already tried other replays with tracks like westhill or aston and the bug isn't there. Anyway, here you go.

hello guys, since i dont like all the sounds for the BF1 here (nvm guys ) because they are either to loud or sounds kind of strange i decided to post my very own here. It may has a lil clipping while watching more then 2 cars from the spectator view but i dont have any problems while beeing in cockpit view which it actually has been created for. Besides, it sounds simular to the sound from U30 or maybe a bit more like U32 (or was it U35?...ANYWAY ) which i liked most. Enjoy.

something like a ID system (like 3457DFGF34534 lol) for every copy connected over the master server would be handy. If im not wrong, the demo users also have to get the list from the master server, in that case a ID could be created and saved inside the lfs.exe or any other file (not readable) so everybody is at least forced to do alot more in order to "play" again on a particular server.

so if thats all so exciting and you also made a thread for this, why didn't you simple pressed "2" right after it happend to have a prove as well? Sure its not very important to save a replay but creating a thread about it is eh? Hmmm...strange things are going on

I'd say, no prove, no case. :haha: Since this seams to be a bug (if this really happend as you said and you are 100%² sure that you did't hit "I" accidently while chatting or your cat/ dog/ bird/ elephant dicided to bugger you) which is probably related to some of the things listed below, it could be useful for the devs knowing about it and sorting it out.

About that stutter thing, that could be:

- anti virus
- indexing service
- "the turn off to save energie/ reduce noises/ "long-life hdd function" method(s) for HDD's
- automatic updates (download/ install)
- a hacker browsing through your stuff =)

or any other crazy service or application running in the background.

as I saw the incident, 510N3D was very early on the throttle after he bodychecked Kieran, this resulted in him pushing out Kieran even more, due to understeering out of the hairpin. 510N3D, you should have lifted and let Kieran retake his position. this might be allowed in real life touring cars (similar things happened in DTM and WTCC as well), but this is just for fun and with such moves you are ruining the fun of others.

Youre right Becky, i should have watched the Replay before i made a Statement like this. So did Kieran and other Players on the Server. I was pretty sure it happend as i remembered it but this was obviously not quite true. I have learned from it and ill do it better next time.

Dont misguide this thread, its goal was only to resolve the situation itself and not to denounce or get a respond by anybody that was involved. It was a strange incident which i wanted to clear up, nothing more.

It's something that you get used to, I often find myself (If closely behind someone) braking very lightly pretty early untill I see them braking, that way atleast I can react and be as close as possible for the exit.



Taps still happen though, I found myself rolling some clown (litterally (cP) ) when I was just following behind, had a slight tap and that UFR was gone. Happens alot less though, just something you get used to.

yeah i know exaclty what you mean and usually im familiar with the brake zones and i brake a second earlier to avoid bumping someone into the corner. But this time was different, i have seen his laptimes, he was faster then me (in that race ) so i trusted into his skills (bad move isnt-it? lol)

Yes, youre probably right NotAnIllusion but in that very moment, i didn't felt like i passed him unfairly. After watching the replay, i wasn't sure about that anymore. After watching it a few more times i noticed that i was irreducibly too late on the brakes as well and in combination with his brake reaction it was even more an "unlucky event". I didnt even wanted to pass him since he was on second position for the hole race but as shown in the replay i couldn't really avoid it. Im over it, and i thank you for your opinions about it.

hello people, i'd like to have some opinions for an incident which just happend at one of the STCC servers. Since i hate wreckers and always try to avoid beeing one of them i need some advices whos in the wrong here.

Situation was this, as you can see in the replay (lap 4), Kieran was infront of me while reaching the end of the long bridge then he started braking and so did i. All of a sudden, he braked unusual harder just before the turn. I was prepared to stay behind waiting for another try on the next straight and from my point of view he braked just to hard. What happend is that i touched his rear end slightly which forced him to drift and i also hit him on his right side. Anyway, i messed up the next chicane but he still wasnt able to keep the fingers off the horn which is also not necessary.

Finally, i think i couldnt avoid this incident by braking again or even harder and i also hate ending discussions with needless sarcasm about me and my team. If it turns out that it was my fault then i apologize about it Kieran and i hope the next meeting between us will be more friendly.

try 720° as it is the max value by stock in this game & for this car, this should compensate alot. Also, what kind of setup do you use? Your own or a setupfield? The camber settings might be set to high if its your own setup. You could also check your wheel software, if enabled, disable (set to 0) the spring and damper effect bars as these effect will be already emulated by the game it self.

I've had to make a lot of these decals from scratch, cos I just couldn't find them online, and often I was trying to copy a little messy blob of pixels since I couldn't find any really good photos of the car either. The bottle decal I had to fake up from scratch, and the label's probably nowhere near acurate. So what you've ended up with is more of an approximation of the car than an exact copy, apologies for that.

XRR_JGTC_REAmimeya_2048.jpg is the high quality skin for offline use
XRR_JGTC_REAmimeya_1024.jpg is the lower quality version which you'll need to upload if you want to use this skin online.

Personally I'd say keep this one for offline use and just use the 2048 version, cos the people you're racing against are only gonna see a low quality 512 pixel compressed version, and the decals on this are so small they'll never read half of 'em.


It looks like I'll have time to knock up another skin this weekend, so if you want something a bit more in a bit more of a Gran Turismo style then name your favourite car and I'll knock one out for you.

hi there, my first try with the editor is a long time ago and my goal was simular to yours. I created kind of a highway on the oval which is more a contruciton site or roadworks. I just reduced the lanes by using walls and its quite interesting to drive around there. I created it primary to see how my setup (FO8) behaves but its also alot of fun with all the other cars. You can still have races there but this is very hard to do with more then 2- 4 cars. But have a look at it yourself maybe you can use &/ or improve it and if not, just delete it
