I took the 500 Abarth (closest to my car, just with 3x the power ) around it yesterday and in some parts it reminded quite a lot of my real drive there (understeer in the same spots etc.). Especially the "Rollercoaster"-feel seems spot on for me.
There are a lot of textures and objects not yet present in that rework (afaik this conversion is based on a scratch-made 'Ring, no conversion of any commecial 'Ring version). As there is a lot of work involved the modder focused on the track surface first, reworking every little triangle
Now that the track itself works he will start on the rest (its pretty driveable, even with Formula cars, but for gods sake stay on the tarmac, or you may fall for all eternity )
Information from a Let's Play I watch has it that the last patches brought out several highly detailed interiors to some building that can't be accessed yet (without hacking), hinting at the heists everybody is waiting for.
I feel the GT race cars have quite a lot of diff lock from the get go. The Lotus Evora GX is the same, get the diff down 10-20% and suddenly it likes taking corners.
Just did my first lap of the 'Ring on this PC and with this wheel, felt a little special Sure, the track is way to bumpy now, and the fps drops a lot in some places (hello Adenauer Forst), but its pretty driveable nontheless. Compared to the last virtual 'Ring laps I did (on GT5) this feels like the rollercoaster it is in real life.
Its the early release of a sim from a small Italian company, with mods made during the last weeks and a hacky converter available for only a few either.
Things will get better, looking at the (still WIP) Corvette DP from the USCC mod team the future looks bright.
Pretty sure he means car roll, as he compares with LFS which has no body flex either (does any race sim even have it yet?)
One thing I find really odd, while I always drive from cockpit view in LFS, I can't get to grips with it in AC (always use bumper cam). Somehow the AC cockpit view feels sort of disconnected for me, anyone got a clue what I mean and might need to change?
Great fun even in that "naked" form (fits the Lotus' (Lotii?) very well), and think about it, we're not even V 1.0 and people chuck out tracks like this already
Its non-FFB and probably uses combined pedals, not ideal for a sim like LFS. It will work I guess (but a few comments on Amazon point at compatibility issues with Windows 8).
Your probably saving some bucks on the wrong end here A used upper class Logitech wheel (DFGT, G25) might be a better deal.
how do you even manage to do that, FFB force set to 120% ingame? Mine is at ~30%, the wheel was used when I got it, served me at least 5 years now, survived a bunch of non-simracers (including a few farm boys) trying out my rig, and nothing broke like that yet
I love it when people don't even dare using the right words.
"Stefan, that guy running around with the girls all teh time, acting flamboyant, wearing skin tight pink jeans, is he ... he, is he ... the other way? "
I mean ok, my parents grew up in different times, but they even have a lesbian couple among their friends, still would never use "lesbian" or "gay"
